The server nick came to our table 4 times during our hour and a half visit. We all order 3 adults 3 children. I choose to share a larger meal with my 5 year old since she doesn’t eat her own food anyways. The food comes out and my steak is med rare. I am a person who likes med well, I ask for an upcook. It takes 20 min for my med well steak to be up cooked. When it comes out I cut into it again and the damn thing is still med rare!!! So now my 5 year old and I are hungry the rest of the table is finished and now my child will having to eat else where. I hate that my experiences here are always bad… unfortunately I won’t be returning to 8th Street anymore. I will travel across town to go to Powers if I need steak that bad…

This is the worst place in town to get food. I would stay far as possible as I can from this place if I was you. My food looked and felt like it was sitting in their window for a half hour. It looked pitiful and the SERVER thought it was ok to give it to me? Who knows how the COOKS are there… The staff is so mean and the place is just mediocre all around.

An experience that just won’t stop haunting me! I’ve always been a fan of TR as it’s reasonably priced and the food is overall good quality, however, last night was a nightmare. To celebrate my Husband and my Mothers Birthdays they both decided they wanted steak and prime rib so Texas road house is where they chose to go. Upon our arrival we were seated within the 15 – 30 minutes window with the call ahead seating. Once at our table our waitress introduced herself as Mariah and proceeded with our drink orders(party of 6) we began with simple stuff like water, iced tea and Pop and immediately she became distracted by something going on with another party or the computer or who knows what and walked away right in mid order, really?! Then came back, apologized and continued, at which point we were able to complete our beginning drink order, again distracted by something finally cocktails were to follow and what a mess. Cocktails were order following the receipt of our waters, etc. and everyone went around the table stating what they wanted(margarita with a sidekick of 1800, or patron, salt, no salt ect.) it appeared that the waitress was writing everything down, however, once she came back to the table with the cocktails, the ones with no salt had salt and the side kicks were wrong too, then came the food and wow I think that Mariah needs some serous training !!! Prime rib– ordered med /rare came out: med Sirloin– ordered as a combo with rids and Med. came out: Rare with no ribs(not a combo) Rib eye– ordered rare came out: Med. And the a bloomin onion that was ordered never arrived. Upon the arrival of the manager to make sure everything was okay after my mom sent back her prime rib for being over cooked(waitress said she sided on the cautious and told the chef medium, why would you do that vs. what the customer asked for? Med /rare) it became a big fiasco and no one else wanted to say anything and add more fuel to the fire, i can’t believe that every thing but my order was right, I ordered the ribs and they were perfect! The replacement prime rib was cooked correctly, however, I think there was more fat on that piece of meat then meat, yuck. I am very disappointed in the lack of either the waitress not writing stuff down correctly and conveying the wrong message to the chef OR the chefs inability to cook meat to the correct temperature for a restaurant that serves primarily meat! This was an epic fail, while they did comp the prime rib(or should I say prim fat) I said thank you but we will never go to this restaurant again for a party! If your reading this review be sure you ask and confirm your order and if it isn’t right be sure they know about it, can’t fix a problem if they don’t know it’s happening. Happy eating!

Horrible experience, not really surprised. Don’t normally visit chain restaurants, and this reminds me why. Not allergy-friendly, despite what the menu said. Good thing I have an epi pen. Stay home, the food will be better and the wait much shorter. Summary: over-charge, and under-deliver.

Customer service here is amazing!!! Food is VERY good!!! Glad we skipped the traditional safe resto, and tried something new. Waited 1:30hrs to be seated but it was worth it. Make sure you call ahead tho and make reservation if you don’t want to wait. Enjoy!

Previous review stands. I only keep going because my in-laws love this place for some reason. Still too loud, I counted 7 shouted birthday songs, yee haw. Good for the price and our server was good. Whoever invented the triangular crayons that don’t roll off the table was PURE genius.

I’m am not a fan of Texas Roadhouse, but we received a gift card for Christmas so we went. Our waiter David was great and genuinely seemed to love his job. Didn’t have to ask for anything. If our drinks were empty he brought another. Always making sure we didn’t need anything. The food was really good too. I had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. I have very bad experiences with Texas Roadhouse before, but this location is great.

This is a pretty good steak place! The rolls are probably my favorite thing about the menu, as they serve them with delicious cinnamon butter. I really, really loved the shrimp, but I think the portions of it are a bit small for the price, and did not fill me up at all. The steak is pretty decent, but nothing really over the top. I say try their chicken. It is so, so moist and perfectly seasoned. Definitely my favorite item on the menu.

We went to this Texas Roadhouse out of convenience sake, since it was next to where we picked up supplies for the week. They are pretty much an exact replicate of their other locations in the country. They got peanuts you can chow down while you wait for a table and after you sat down. The cinnamon butter with their soft rolls always made great start of your meal, and you may want to skip the health fact checks on those. I got some Ribeye and Shrimp with some mashed potato and chili. Chili usually comes first like soup when you get it as a side. The Ribeye was cooked at the requested rareness at medium rare, and shrimp was seasoned well. Food was the same like their other location, service was decent, I can’t ask for more from a chain location right? Uncle covered the meal, and the night was good.

Boy howdy! Inconsistent. That’s the only way to describe the Texas Roadhouse on 8th Street. One day you might get a great cut of beef cooked by somebody who knows what they’re doing, and the next you get something substandard cooked by an amateur. The waitstaff has always been excellent. The food, sometimes not. I can’t recommend it as a go-to place, but if you’re willing to take a chance, you might get something good.

We usually avoid chain restaurants but it was getting late and Texas Roadhouse is close by. We called for takeout and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They were helpful and thorough when we picked up the food. As for the quality, way above what we expected. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly, my salad was fresh and more than I could eat. Yummy house made dressing. The rolls were warm and delicious. The only less than stellar item was the potato skins but pretty sure they are meant to be served right away in the restaurant. Overall, really good experience and we will definitely give them more of our business!

After a full day hiking my friend and I came in, the special they offered was exactly what we both wanted, seated quickly at 6 pm on a Saturday, served our food rather quickly as well. The steaks were done to perfection for both of us, the french fries were done properly, We are not big eaters so the take home was just as good the next day for lunch. I will be back.

We went there for date night got right in had to wait a little while for the server to come take our order. We ordered our food and drinks the silverware was dirty as well as the water glasses were dirty when they serve it to us had to tell them twice that the cups were dirty and the silverware was dirty. Apon getting our bill noticed an extra $ 1.00 added to a drink we ordered when on the menu it didn’t state that. When we spoke to the manager she said that’s how all food places have their menus so that they can charge extra to me that is hiding the extra cost in it. Sorry but we will be trying other Steak places over this place again anytime soon.

Being the steakhouse chain it is, I thought it would be located somewhere a little more open. If your coming on the weekend, expect to drive around looking for somewhere to park. I dined at the bar and the service was friendly and the beer came quick, despite the crowd. Not to mention my waitress had some beer knowledge, always a good thing! Ordered the New York Strip… rare and seasoned just the way it should be. I was feeling adventurous and wanted a little more than 12oz, so my waitress had one hand cut… hell yeah. Look, if your out for a steak, good beer and friendly service –it’s worthy of a visit.

It’s a chain– which means everything on the menu is «tried and true» so you can be assured to get something similar to most every other chain restaurant concept out there. That being said, last time I visited, the steak was decent — especially for the low price point. Sides are your typical offerings. Service has always been good, so that’s a plus. Lunch was a disappointment with a lukewarm burger, dry bun, cold cheese, overly salty fries, and dry, boring pulled pork. Did I hate my experiences here? No. though based on today’s experience lunchtime is out of future consideration. Are there better options out there for what they serve? Definitely. Texas Roadhouse is a chain and you get exactly what you expect. There are no surprises, unique dishes, or adventurous ingredients.

Long wait. Hostess said there would be no wait for a table when I asked, 10 minutes later we were seated. Server was prompt. Food was OK, and pretty salty. Can’t say I would go here again.

My New York Strip was delicious! Cooked perfectly medium and wasn’t overly seasoned like many other $$ steak places. If you like mushrooms, get the sautéed mushroom topping. You’ll never see mushrooms so big and they were delicious to boot! The only 2 people at my table who didn’t like their steak because they said it was too dry were the 2 who ordered theirs medium well.
