Visted here last week and got some type of meat tacos. Very good! The extra sauces they provided gave the dish an even better flavor. Prices are decent. I will be dining here again!

Had the carne azada, great seasoning and cooked just right! Also tried the Camarones a la Diablo … Spicy. Will be back to try the tacos because there just with onion and cilantro which you can’t too often here in COS. Oh and they have soups on the weekend, pozole! Soapillas were awesome as well.

YUM! The food here is really excellent, you can tell the cook really cares about and knows what hes doing. I tried out the crispy tacos and they were great! Staff is very friendly, too. Be sure to check in when you visit — you get a free dessert! :)

The guy behind the counter screwed up both our orders. But the food was really good. LOL. If you don’t mind getting the wrong items, give it a try.

Been many times now… Really excellent! The breakfast burritos and the guacamole is just awesome. Can’t wait to try more. Careful, red sauce tastes wonderful but hot as Hades. I for one love hot.

Still LOVE Tlaquepaque(Tla-kay-pah-kay) in case you’re wondering how to pronounce the name. It’s a city in Guadalajara where the owners are from. My new favorite menu item is the Tacos Dorado de Birria. Just order it and you can thank me later. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here. Fresh, fast, and absolutely authentic. I will drive across town for their food any time. And I do! What are you waiting for?

I still don’t know quite how to pronounce it, but really delicious! I had the smothered chicken burrito, and the sauce was really good, spicy and flavorful(although I would have preferred it a bit thicker). My kids had the kids meals with corndogs and fries, and those actually looked quite appetizing as well. The atmosphere is very plain, but the food is definitely worth it! Also, the owners were very nice and gave us an order of sopapillas on the house when they learned it was our first time!

Amazing, it was so good. It was the most satisfying Mexican food I had in awhile. I’m originally from southern California so this made me feel at home, especially had been being stationed in upstate Ny. The owner was especially accommodating, my wife had ordered something that people normally don’t and was offering to make something else if it wasn’t what she expected but of course there was no need for that. Highly recommend to try this place out.

Amazing and inexpensive. Great hostess, too. Spinach and cheese enchiladas and tilapia tacos. Yum! Dessert was the Choco Flan. Recommended highly.

This came up on the luncheon search and I was quite curious how a Mexican place could get such high rating. The restaurant itself seems like a regular Mexican joint in a strip mall with an average size dining area. They seemed to be just a normal order and sit down place, and you fill your own drink at the soda machine. I was in the mood for burrito, so I got the Shrimp Burrito. It arrived nicely wrapped and pressed for light char on the outside. The burrito may not look anything special on the outside, there were a lot going on the inside. All of the ingredients were quite fresh, including the shrimp, not sure how they managed that, and the sauce had many layers of flavor in them. I think I just had one of the best burrito I ever had in life. My coworker’s taco looked quite good as well. The Unilocal check-in offer was a slice of Coco Flan, which was a great way to complete the meal. I never had one with coconut flavor in them and you can see the slices of coconut at the bottom of it too. It looked very simple, yet complex, as many places I visited failed to produce a decent flan. Tlaquepaque is a word I probably will never pronounce correctly, and without Unilocal,I would probably never found this nice hidden gem during my short visit in town. They truly go against all common stereotypes for Mexican restaurants and truly put their heart into the food they produce. Do not judge this book by its cover.

Came to Colorado Springs to visit family and wanted to try some good Mexican food. Big thanks to the reviews on Unilocal!for letting us know about this place! I not the shrimp burrito. Was kind of iffy about getting seafood in Colorado, but it was not disappointing! My family ordered the chimichanga’s, beef enchilada and pulled pork enchiladas, which ended up being a crowd favorite! Didn’t care too much for the horchata though, seemed a bit watery. We finished off with Coconut flan and sopapillas! Wow. Too yummy!

Took our chances on this little«whole in the wall» and we were happy with our choice. My husband had the smothered chicken burrito and liked it very much. I had the pablano chile relleno. I love cheese and it was filled with cheese. We also ordered the coco flan but they brought us coconut flan. I’m not a fan of coconut but it was still good. They make it homemade. Be aware if you want chocolate flan, don’t say«coco». Lol

Certainly a local place, great Unilocal recommendation. Clean café — not fancy. The food more than made up for it. The Carne Azada and Pork Chile Verde were outstanding. Well balanced, just a touch of heat but well rounded sauces. I thought the Carnitas were just a touch bland in comparison but still good. The beef enchiladas were also good. All of the dinners included rice and beans, a lot of food for reasonable prices. This is the type of place I love to find on Unilocal.Locally owned, proud of their product, clean, good service. Not fine dining for a fancy date, but excellent food!

Street tacos reminded me of being back on the streets of down town L.A. Very good Meat had a good merinade. My only complaint is food was a little too heavy on the salt and lime juice. Other than that muy delicioso!
