Last month I got a call from a USAA representative (didn't get her name) saying one of my tow trucks damaged their insured vehicle. Claim#521505568 I told her that's not possible, we sold that company in 2015, 7 years ago, and we been living in Arizona ever since. She insisted it was one of our tow trucks and we are liable for the bill ($2,338.91) None of our trucks where never registered to us, and how did they get my name and phone# I asked her for the vehicle information so I could do some research. She said that's odd, the only info she has is a 2000 tow truck. No color, no licenses#, no police report, no VIN# no drivers name, no pictures. Just a place, (Morrison Colo) and a date02/12/2022. We never owned a 2000 tow truck or personal vehicle of that year. She said they would call us back. Well fast forward a couple of weeks and I get an email for USAA rep (John Sanchez) saying Thanks for talking with us, if you have any questions or concerns, please respond to this email. *NOTE There are 3 different tow truck companies listed in Colorado with the same name.

Ok, so I sat down and wrote an email explaining to John the situation and to please provide more information, Licenses#, color, pictures, ect. Owning a towing business for 15 years, it not the first time somebody has made a fraudulent claim, or stolen licenses plate. I hit send and 10 minutes later I get a threatening e mail from collections (Wilber & Associates) Threatening garnishments, suspend vehicle registration, liens ect. How is this possible? USAA would not pay a claim without the proper information. Why are you trying to force me too? How do you know the vehicle belongs to me? Why won't you give me that information? They do have a name for this type of business practice.

Absolutely amazing facility. Awesome staffing and super easy to get around.

USAA made the right choice.

Best bank my wife and I have ever dealt with. Only two drawbacks. First being that they are predominantly an online bank, but that’s not an issue for us anymore since we relocated from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs where they have a branch. The second issue is they don’t provide business checking. So we have Navy Federal for that.
USAA has always provided A+ service. We did our VA loan through USAA for our first house and loved everything that was offered to us through their Movers Advantage. We also use them for home owners, auto, checking, savings, credit cards, and rental property insurance. I just discovered they can do all my tenant screenings too!
Some people on here claim they had problems depositing checks, but I have never had a check held. Even my personal account that is only open to accept 2 transfers a month to pay two bills. I just deposited my tenant’s rent last week and it was available immediately. Navy Federal is ok… we’re using them for the house we’re closing on right now… their rates do not even compare to USAA.
I just wish the people giving 1 star were more believable. I just can’t take them seriously when they lack even a basic grasp of the English language.

I have never liked usaa. They have never been of any help and their prices for insurance are through the roof. My husband and I decided to primarily use our navy federal account and I’m am beyond pleased! I kept that account open for random child support deposits and recently tried to deposit a check into that account. They are holding the funds for a WEEK because of the «activity» on that account. A WEEK, actually 8 days but whatever. As if it takes that long to verify the funds of the check!!! Seconds after I deposited the check And was told when the funds would be available I BEGGED them to cancel the despot since it hadn’t even gone through the system yet. They refused.

The worst experience with a bank I’ve ever had. They have not been able to fix a simple problem. It’s been a week and they have not put money into our account that was released. And the customer service lady that dealt with us was very rude. Should not even get one star!

I’ve been with USAA for over a decade now. They are not the least expensive company to use for insurance or other financial services. Additionally, experiences with adjusters will vary. However, I have felt comfortable remaining with the company because they were willing to work with me over issues that I might disagree with the adjuster on. They are also a very convenient company to use if you are a military member and like consolidating financial services. The ability to conduct banking from the far side of the planet in austere environments comes in very handy.

They charge you $ 8 to overnight a new card BUT THEY WONT TELL YOU! they instead snail mail you a card, then when you call and ask they will for a fee overnight you a card but only if you ask AND that card will be an exact replica you know just in case someone stole your card enroute!!! SMART HUH?
Then since its an ONLINE BANK ONLY… the FDIC will hold any check $ 1 over your normal everyday balance so for 2 weeks you don’t get a penny from that car you sold!!! SMART???

Never ever dealing with USAA worst company I ever did business with. When I claimed the side panel dmg on my 2012 Honda Civic they told me it’ll go under natural disasters due to weather road conditions were created. However when I changed my insurance company to statefarm they are telling me usaa record the claim as collision when they clearly told me it would be a natural disaster. Screw usaa even bank system is so fuck up telling customer to call the 3^rd party to get the refund when I never recall did any businesses with 3^rd party

Usaa is the worst lender on earth. They cost us thousands of dollars and delayed closing numerous times. Everybody else can do a 30 day close. Why does it take them two months? Crazy.

i have been with usaa for 15 plus years. always helpful, great rates, i have everything but my checking accts with usaa. reason being is i need to be in and out every week and live in littleton. i have had nothing but good to say about them i have my husband now enrolled. thank you usaa.

USAA has gone down hill over the last 4 years! I dropped the homeowners insurance because they jacked the price up while I was deployed so when I return my mortgage loan company slapped me with a 500 bill! I just called earlier to try and insure my fire arms with them but they refused because I don’t have home owners insurance with them! Any who I found better insurance for less so yes they can be beat. I will be dropping the service all together shortly. It’s sad because I’ve been with them for over 12 years. But if they can’t compete than they can’t compete! They can only pretend they care about the military for so long until it catches up to them! Army strong

Security is the only item I’d downgrade in this USAA review, but it’s so pivotal I think a 3 is in order. I’ve used USAA for nearly 30 years and have a phone password that needs to be spoken before anyone can access the accounts. My last three phone interactions I was not asked for it. My most recent call, today, was to address the failure of that security check. After advising the rep that she was the third that didn’t ask for my phone password, she intimated it wasn’t necessary. I asked for a customer service person but hung up after an extended wait on hold. While always a great company in the past, I’m concerned they may be failing to hold up their old standards and are tarnishing their otherwise sterling reputation.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I. Love. USAA. This banking institution is amazing and if you are a dependent of someone who served in the military or if you yourself served, do yourself a favor and give them your business. If they detect suspicious activity on your credit card account, they’ll send you a text message and then you reply to let them know if they need to take action. WELL. I just received one such text. Some jackwagon has charged over $ 4,000 to my credit card in the last 24 hours — all online — he/​she appears to be paying for his/​her dream vacation. USAA caught it, credited my account immediately for the charges and did it all in an exceptionally friendly manner. I’ve been with USAA for 23 years. They have me for another 23. Fo’ sho.

Really? I guess I love them too. I do all my banking with them. They let me transfer money from accounts for free, I can deposit checks electronically, and they reimburse you for ATM charge (up to a certain amount).
