The score is higher today, because I was able to find a copy of «The Tennant of Wildfell Hall» which I am reading for a book group. I had tried in my local B & N to no avail. Yeah. And the Starbucks inside the store had the best flourless chocolate cake, so rich my friend and I had one bite and saved it for later. The iced coffee is still great.

I have been to many B & N, but this location has to be among the WORST. The employees are not usually terribly helpful, the selection and organization are odd and it just feels, well – neglected. So, whilst I am visiting COMO, I am stuck if I am jonsing for a scrap of literature. I usually just hold out and visit my favs – B & N-the Plaza, KCMO or Zona Rosa.

Yo, jerk behind the coffee counter! You could have said something like«I’m sorry, but we can’t accept Starbucks gift cards here.”* Instead you you decided to cop a snotty attitude and not even look at me when you brusquely told me «We don’t take those. Barnes and Noble cards only.» Yeah, I will be back to this Barnes and Noble because it is the only game in town with a large selection of books. However, I doubt I will get coffee here again… for that there are plenty of alternatives around town. * Note to Barnes and Noble corporate: Perhaps you should not use the Starbucks logo if it is not really a Starbucks. I am obviously not the only one confused.
