Big Lots

TERRIBLE LAY AWAY/​HOLDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. We went there on Sunday and were interested in a certain piece of lawn furniture, they had no more in stock. The person in charge (Colin) called 3 other big lots who also had none in stock. He adamantly stated that they could not sell the display set to us. We inquired for another 20 – 30 minutes and still nothing. We left Colin with our name and number, with the specific instructions to call us if/​when they received a new shipment of the furniture (Big Lots can not guarantee when/​if they will get a new shipment ever). We called the following day, Monday afternoon and apparently they had gotten 1 shipment in that day and sold it to someone else. Yes. SOLD IT. The person on duty failed to see the apparently, in his words, «tiny» note left by Colin stating that we wanted the first one available. Then, after speaking to the person on duty we learned that the manager had already promised/​sold the floor set to someone, funny because just 24 hours before we were told that they were absolutely NOT allowed to sell the display furniture. We just moved to Lexington and have an entire home to stock. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME WHERE NOT TO SPEND MY MONEY.

Nice! Always mange to find exactly what I need AND save money. What a great combo. This store is always kept clean and well organized. Helpful staff too. Carried out and loaded up large items quickly and with a good attitude. :)

Brand new Big Lots in the old Food Lion next to Zorba’s and Kmart. Pretty good selection of all normal Big Lots goods.
