This review is for Henna Sooq’s customer service. I am a new customer who was just recently gifted a sample of Henna Sooq’s henna — and LOVED it. My hair is dreaded, and yet the henna washed out so quickly and easily and gave the most lovely color. I had to have more! So unfortunately for me, the henna I wanted to order was out of stock(with good reason — it’s amazing!) and I got a little impatient when it wasn’t immediately back in stock on the ETA date. So I emailed back and forth and finally was able to place my order… And then I had a problem with it!(My fault for trying to math). Cue another, snippy email from me. Not a minute later, I get a phone call from Khadija explaining my order and helping me fix the problem. She was incredibly sweet, even though I started out the conversation pretty grumpy, and I immediately realized I was the one that goofed up. Oops. Long story short, There’s a great woman behind this company. Check them out, they have awesome henna and they value their customers, even the girl who can’t add on Wednesdays but wants pretty red hair. :)

I’ve been ordering from Henna Sooq since 2011. I’ve purchased the Jamila and Moroccan hennas, Indigo powder, Amla oil, Argan oil and quite a few other items, all of which I love! If I send Khadija an email, I get a response within hours — that’s something that you don’t get from most companies. I’ve even referred people to Henna Sooq because the quality and price are so good. I have to admit, I’m very confused by the bad reviews, but to each their own. I love the customer service and the products and will continue to order from Khadija and Henna Sooq as long as she’s in business!

I’ve placed a few orders online with them and never had any issues. The quality of the products are good… I’ve ordered Red Raj and Jamila Henna, Bhringraj, Shikakai, Indigo and Aloe Vera powders, Ubtan Ayurvedic Facial powder, Camellia Oil and Cocoa Butter… I’ve also won a couple of contests and got other products for free. The owner also answers my questions and offers recommendations on her Facebook pages. I love this place and will be replenishing my «Henna Stash» soon. :)

I have purchased my henna from Henna Sooq for years. I have used everything from LUSH henna to jamila to Yemeni over the years and have been thrilled with red raj. They’ve ways been helpful with sharing tips and recipes. I don’t understand the poor reviews, granted I live in California so my orders are always shipped, but the price is great, shipping is fast and the quality of henna is unbeatable. Khadija is very helpful and if you follow hennasooq on Instagram or Facebook it’s easy to get ahold of her for henna advice. It’s a great company, they may have some kinks to work through but that’s to be expected.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place has terrible customer service. Never ordering from this place again. Placed an order for some very expensive argan oil. They sent me amla oil instead. Now they want me to ship back the amla oil before I receive the argan oil. Ummm… I’m not the one that made the mistake. I will never order from this company again. I don’t need to be treated like this when Mountain Rose Herbshas a better quality and treats their customers in a responsible fashion. Never again. I’ve been ordering from this company for years and have sent many friends here. I won’t make that mistake again. Incompetent.

Some years ago I used mail order with this company. Business took me to a nearby area and I placed a «pick-up» order. A disrespectful little boy(approximately 10 years old) answered the door of this home based business and insisted that I conduct my transaction with him. No adult was insight and none seemed available(I asked.) A friend appreciated the color payoff of the henna. Against better judgment, I placed another pick-up order when business took me to the area. Via email the order was confirmed, then in a follow up email the pick up date and time were changed. I replied that I would like an update if the original date and time became available, as that was the only time I had available. The non-professional response was four emails back-to-back and the final email was a threat with a guard dog in spite of my previous email stating that I was NOLONGERINTERESTED. «Hello I would like to make sure you don’t show up in error, without the confirmation you received above. We prefer since this is a private residence that clients do not show up without an appointment. We also have a large guard dog which is kept out, and about and we really don’t want our clients to have any situations with him in error. I hope this explanation helps. Khadija» This business owner does not respect her customers enough to complete transactions herself or have a suitable adult as a substitute and then proceeds with threats of guard dogs(this town home has the standard minimal front lawn, no enclosed yard). A decent business owner would know that all customers should be respected and it is worth while to retain business with repeat customers. Additionally, I also received indigo that did not deposit any color at all. Lastly, take note that the owner has rated herself(and her business) 5 stars. How fraudulent.

The«new» indigo does not work. I’m a seasoned henna hair dye user for many years. I do the 2 step process to obtain a black hair color. Using natural henna first and then indigo. On my first order, I had no issues with their products and they worked quite well. So I reordered the«same» products when I needed more. The indigo now comes in packaging that has the«Henna Sooq» name on a box and my previous powder was not Henna Sooq branded. This prompted a call to customer service. The CSR made me feel like I was bothering her asking so many questions. She assured me it was the EXACT same indigo, just with different packaging. I also asked for a consultation as to what she recommended in the best way to process and apply for my hair type. The indigo did not«stick» and I have the red of the henna showing on my roots. Not looking for grey coverage… fyi. 5 days after I did the 2 step process, I tried it again… Same bad results… The time it takes, as you may know, is exhausting… Additionally, I wasted 2 natural henna and 2 indigo and money. I emailed CS and they told me to try different methods… I asked why as I already did what your CS told me to do and the product I ordered the last time I didn’t have these problems. They kept asking I call them instead of email… Also wanted me to link them to the negative comments I read here on Unilocal about the indigo… They said that those comments were«old». Once I said I was going to buy from another company, they stopped emailing me. Not once did they offer a discount coupon or refund. Buyer Beware.

The company has great products. I’ve used a variety of their hennas and their organic indigo. I’ve been very pleased with the results. The only complaint I have is that their shipping takes at least three weeks. I wish they would ship their products faster.

This horrible and unprofessional company is not careful about shipping and orders. To begin with, they had sent me the wrong order – order made by another person. I have the copy of the invoice that was included, for completely different person’s order, with all their billing information on it – they are not careful about people private info either. I’m presenting this invoice to BBB, as I’m lodging a formal complaint. At the same time, they were rude to me in general and dishonest about shipping. They shipped the overpriced order as «signature required» USPS without my authorization, knowing I was leaving on vacation – while I’d not order at all if this shipping requirement was made clear upfront. As a result, a lot of my time was spent trying to get this order, as USPS could not deliver this – USPS was generally un-reacheable, with limited facility hours; after trips to USPS delivery facility, and hours on the phone trying to sort it out with customer service, the order was received – after wasting a lot of my time that I was not paid for and causing me a lot of stress and problems – however, it was not even MY order. I’m ordering from more decent and professional company instead and taking necessary steps to inform the public and BBB about things this company is doing to customers.

If you appreciate great customer service, you may want to pass on Henna Sooq. As a business owner, I would never treat my customers the way I was treated here. It’s unfortunate, but the experience prompted me to do some more searching and I found a vendor that sells the same product for less!

This company has the WORST customer service! I ordered 4 hair care products on a Saturday, and the confirmation email said they would be shipped that Monday. After waiting two weeks for my order, I contacted the company to see if they could locate my package. As soon as I sent the email, however, I noticed a link to check the status of an order, and I saw that the order had not even been shipped! I sent another email expressing my irritation and asking for someone to contact me to let me know a) why the order was still unfulfilled, and b) how to go about getting a refund. I was contacted that very afternoon with excuses about some of the products being delayed in customs, and was then told that they had just sent the order that day(after my email), and that they would not be able to issue a refund. For my inconvenience, I was offered a $ 10 credit towards a future purchase, even though I had expressed that I had no desire to do any business with them in the future given their inability to ensure delivery of such a simple order. I can almost guarantee had I not contacted them, my order would still be sitting in their warehouse. I understand that mistakes happen and things get overlooked, but companies that care about customer retention make efforts to fix those issues, not make excuses that further anger already frustrated customers.

I absolutely love the products from Henna Sooq. The quality is top of the line and all the ingredients are pure. If you are interested in growing your hair out and maintaining healthy lengths, consider trying out Ayurveda treatments. Orders are shipped promptly and if there are any issues, they try to resolve it asap. I had a broken container of Cocovede hair oil. I took a picture and send it to costumer service, they shipped a new bottle out next day no questions asked. Great company and I will continue to support it for a long time.

I started using henna a little over a year ago. I had heard so much about it on line, but didn’t know where to get it until I watched a video on YouTube. That video changed my hair’s life. It was while watching that video that I discovered Henna Sooq and I’ve been hooked on the Sooq ever since. This is your one stop shop for ALL things henna and more. From how to videos, to informative blog posts, you will not leave the site without being well versed in all things henna. As far as product quality, price and customer service, it can not be beat. You may have some people who give you one to three options for a service or product you seek, but for me, as it relates to henna, there is no better place besides Henna Sooq. You can not only get high quality henna and indigo products, you can also get great quality essential and carrier oils, shampoo bars, henna body art, aryuvedic herbs, premade henna paste, and the tools necessary to mix, and apply these wonderful products. I also must provide you with a few lines to try to explain how wonderful the customer service is. In one word-t’s phenomenal. All your questions are answered in a timely manner, your products are shipped in a timely manner and the family behind the brand are just overall very knowledgeable about the products they carry and love feedback and interaction with their customers. I always, always, always… yes always recommend Henna Sooq to everyone that I encouter wishing to henna their hair, or who are in need of the products they sell. It truly gets no better.

Very good customer service. Email notifications and shipping are on point. I only purchase from here. I read a lot of reviews on a natural hair site before making my decision to purchase from Henna Sooq. Sometimes they give you lil samples such as their shampoo bars. One free pair of gloves is also nice(you must select it). Specials on Fridays are a plus. They have several varieties of henna I’ve tried 3. My fav is their Morrocan henna. If you’re on the fence about henna no worries. The website provides plenty of informative videos, blogs and reviews. Also w/your shipment is a sheet of tips for your henna recipe.

Orders are shipped promptly, shipping prices to BC are quite high, but hey we are far away. I like the site layout and the fact that they carry tons of product. However, I got no instructions with my henna, amla or indigo… I had to go on their site/blog to dig the info up and my first experiment failed(got no dye). I still have tons of powder left but I am not sure I am going to proceed again. It would really help if the instructions such as «leave on hair for min 3 hours» were included — so that customers have a ballpark, I know henna is different for everyone, but we all have busy lives and any time saved is great.

This is where I get all my henna from now. Love that there is free shipping to Canada. I love that they help you understand how to get that colour you are looking for. Most of all I love the shampoo bars. I bought all of them and am trying them all, I can honestly say that I will re-buy at least half of them, highly recommend the soap-nut shampoo bar. Will be a lifelong customer I am sure. Of and keep an eye out for their Friday specials!

I have ordered from Henna Sooq several times and I’m super impressed! Orders are always shipped promptly and arrive quickly. It helps that they(to my understanding) have a warehouse somewhere in Canada. Orders come in good condition and as stated on the website, no surprises. Their website has undergone reconstruction since I began ordering from them and it has definitely changed for the better. The website offers easy navigation and even a way to chat in real time with Henna Sooq employees. I’ve had to use this feature one time, and my problem was solved promptly. I have ordered various products from this company and I’ve been more than satisfied with all of them. I use henna to dye my hair and not only are their prices great, but they also give the option to order things in bulk and save even more money. I have also ordered rhassoul clay, amla powder, indigo, and some soap from their website to try out. The soap was in my opinion expensive and though I liked it, I’ll probably stick to local products in the future. But their herbs and clays are all fantastic and I’d recommend them to anyone. The website also contains links to instructional videos(they have their own YouTube channel), and a lot of step by step instructions for using the various products they carry. When I was looking for a source of henna powder this company definitely stood out as professional, affordable, and reliable, and they have lived up to that first impression!
