Physicians Weight Loss Centers

I went in to sign up for their weight loss program. I tried to ask some questions, but all the lady was focused on, was getting me to sign. She never explained anything. Instead, she spent the entire time telling me how wonderful the program is, and how much success people have had. I signed — despite the cost — which was about 1200 for the 10 week program even with the discount.
They ask you to go for bloodwork so they can check out your levels of everything, but the doctor is only there for about 2 – 3 hours every two weeks, so I had to wait that entire time to see him. When I finally walked in for my appointment, the doctor was busy so I met with some lady who told me that I would have to cut my intake down to 600 calories per day until they stabilized me at 1100 calories. Now, I’m an athlete who works out regularly, so I complained that this is too low (every doctor has told me that the minimum calories I should be eating is 1600 per day to be healthy). She told me that I wouldn’t be able to work out on this program because the calorie intake is too low and not conducive to that. She then tells me that I would need to purchase their shakes (an extra $ 40/​week), and «suggests» the b12 shots which would be an extra $ 40/​week. I asked what the results were if you didn’t take the shots, and she said, «everyone takes them, so we don’t know.» I decided to try a shot because they offered me a free one. The lady that gave me the shot was extremely unprofessional. The shots go in your butt, and the lady commented on a tattoo that I have on my lower back/​top of my butt. Totally unprofessional!!!
I complained that I didn’t want to do the program anymore because I was never told of these extra expenses. They told me that it was part of the program and I should want to get them to lose weight. For anyone who cares, THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF THAT B12 SHOTS HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS. If you need proof, feel free to look at the Mayo Clinic website, Healthline, or any other reputable medical website. They are simply a ploy to make more money off of you. As for the shakes, you can get anything cheaper — Isagenix, EAS Lean 15, Shakeology, or any other weight loss protein powder. This is another scam for this company.
Finally the franchise owner came in, and spent an hour trying to tell me how I shouldn’t look at the calorie intake, but the nutrients in the calories. DUH. Anyone knows that a 1200 calorie egg mcmuffin is not as healthy and a 300 calorie egg-​white omelet with lots of veggies. I finally walked out of there, and had several more «conversations» with the owner. I finally ended up calling the VP at Corporate HQ to complain about these people, and only after several more conversations did the lady actually attempt to provide some customer service.
Bottom line: This place is the biggest scam you will ever see. They make you feel like you’re an idiot, and are only focused on their bottom line. You will do much better spending your money on some good quality protein powder and a personal trainer/​dietition, not to mention you’ll save a ton of money. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

I purchased a Groupon a couple of years ago for this Center. I received the laser treatment in which the Groupon covered for two, the woman told me that four does not do much so I ended up purchasing 4 along with pills which was of course extra money. After 4 treatments I did not receive much of any results so they continued to treat me an extra 4 times and was able to see a little more results than what was shown before. The initial purpose of this place to help others is really good but as for the results… I did not see any and feel as if it was a waste of money and time purchasing. They could have gave me a refund but they wanted to hold on to my money a bit longer.

I purchased an Amazon Local coupon for six sessions of Lipo Light for a fraction of the regular price, so I thought, what the heck, I’ll give it a whirl.
I walk in to my first appointment, sign in, and sit down in the empty waiting room. About 5 minutes go by, and a lady in scrubs comes in from the back and sits at the front desk… doesn’t even acknowledge that I’m there (I’m the only one in the waiting room)! About 5 more minutes pass (still no acknowledgment), and a couple more customers walk in. They are BOTH greeted and taken back BEFORE me…
At this point, I’m alone again in the waiting room for about 10 more minutes. A second lady, in normal street clothes, walks in with the scrubs lady… no acknowledgment. Wtf?!
Finally, the scrubs chick tells me to come back; while we’re walking towards the back, she asks me if this is my second or third time, and I respond that it’s my first. This lady looks at me and says, «You were sitting in the waiting room this whole time and didn’t fill out any paper work?!» I’m thinking, ummmm… no…YOU NEVER FLIPPING ACKNOWLEDGED ME to know that this was my first time and needed to fill stuff out! Omg!!!
So, I fill the paperwork out (I’m pissed now), and the street close lady takes me to the scale/​body comp reader (she never introduced herself, so at this point, I don’t know if she’s a doctor or what). I get off the scale, and I make a comment about the reading the screen showed. No response.
Street clothes lady takes me to the room for the treatment. After treatment is done, scrubs lady takes me to the next part (some body vibrator machine), tells me to get on and press start. She puts some paper on the table without explaining anything about the body composition readings.
The machine stops after 10 minutes, so I get off. No one is to be found, so I just wait till someone comes out. Street clothes lady walks up to the machine with another customer, looks at me, and asks if I’m done. I said, «I don’t know, am I?!» She says, «Yep, you’re done!» Barely looks at me.
I turn around and leave feeling like I was invisible to these people!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
I have 5 other Lipo Light treatments that were scheduled from the coupon… I called and cancelled all of them! I would rather eat the $ 200 I spent on the voucher than go back to that place!

I purchased a group on for the B-​12 shots and of course, as normal, I waited for the LAST minute to use them (I purchased 2 for a total of 4 shots). Prior to attempting to use them, I called the establishment and the person who answered was a rock star. She gave me all the information that i needed, most importantly, that I didn’t need an appointment for the shots.
Fast fwd — I get there, sign in and they ask me I have been there previoulsy. I say, NO and tell them that I have a group on. The older, short, brown/​blonde attendant ask me to fill out a form — I give her this look when I see the form — because I am NOT doing a program. I just want my drugs lady. After filling out the form, a more senior person comes out and gives the lady (brown/​blonde) the same look because I only had a groupon.
After that confusion, I got my shot expeditiously and was overall satisfied — despite the mis-​communication.
Additionally, the more senior (in experience) lady allowed me to redeem both groupons so that they would not expire on me.
