I think it’s interesting how this store will not buy back hardly worn clothes from popular stores, but they have some of the rattiest clothes on their racks! I’ve been there only a few times and have found one top in decent enough shape to buy! I would not waste my time again«selling» clothes to this store, or shopping for anything decent!

My son was told he would have to bring«proof of purchase» because the clothes looked«too new» before they would give him anything for them. Later when his Anglo Saxon friend brought them in he was given $$$$$.

I love Plato’s Closet, and this one is probably one of the best I’ve been to. It was very well organized and had a lot of good clothes. There was even more selection here than in some of the ones in St. Louis. I was able to find several tops that were cute, classy, and in great shape. One of the staff on hand was EXTREMELY friendly, cheerful, and helpful. She welcomed us and explained their current special when we walked in the door, checked on us a few times while we were shopping, and when I was shopping while holding clothes to try on later, she asked if I wanted her to hold them for me! I’m not a fan of overly interactive staff, but I’d rather them be that way than unhelpful. I’m definitely planning on going here again!

This store STINKS if you want to sell clothes! I have tried numerous times to sell clothes to them(pants, shirts, sweaters, belts, jackets, etc.) in varying conditions(some older, some semi-new, and some quite new). They hardly ever decide to buy clothes back because they«are not in style» or are not in season! I have always brought name-brand items, but they never buy them back! Or, on the rare occasion that they actually do decide to buy them, they only offer $ 3 or something pathetic. Overall, this place isn’t too bad if you’re looking to buy clothes(though some items on the racks are quite old and ratty looking), but if you’re in the market to sell, don’t waste your time here!

Cool place to get some stuff at about half the price of the retail store. Mostly I got new clothes with the tag still on them.

Apparently these are a small chain in Missouri and I’d never been to one of these, so I thought I’d try it out after a recommendation. My favorite part about the store is that everything is sorted into types of clothing, then by size, then by color. I really did have to sort through a lot to find some good keeps, but in the end I found a Columbia fleece jacket for only $ 14, which would normally be $ 80+ new! I also found an H&M shirt for $ 4 and a really interesting pair of earrings for $ 3. All in a all a good place to stop by every once in a while if you are just browsing around, but by no means is it the kind of thrift store you would go to to try and find a Halloween costume. — M
