Peanuts are good and prices are fine. Staff, Ehh. We were planning a trip and wanted peanuts so I looked up the times on their website, 10 am. Perfect we were there at 0955. No lights no unlocked doors. It even says 10 – 10 for the hours. I called the other location and was told they open when they get there sometimes it was 11 or so. So if you want to go you may want to go the extra step and call to make sure they are open.

My favorite place to go! They have practically every kind of candy you can think of. Usually places like this where you pay a price per ¼lb is expensive but they are fairly priced I think. They have a great selection of candy from my childhood so I love it. They also have awesome chocolate covered goodies. So good! And the staff is ALWAYS really nice and friendly and helpful, even when I come in at 9:55 :) sorry! Cravings… Thanks guys!

We love visiting this store when in Columbia. I like that they have a wide selection of candy and nuts.
They also have a cute assortment of Gamecock and Clemson spirit items.
I especially like the giant, white coated pretzels!
The staff is always polite and the store is clean
I like the old fashioned candy store décor.
Perfect for entertaining your kids or stocking your pantry.

I love this place for its wide selection of bulk candy. They have all my favorites and many new types I’ve never had. The pricing. Isn’t all that bad either. And unlike other candy shops I’ve been to, their’s tend to be fresher.

Wide variety of candy, candied and caramel apples, peanuts and popcorn. I wish this place existed when I created a color coordinated candy bar for my wedding 4 years ago!
It’s bright and clean, and I bet kids would love it in there.

I visited The Peanut Man during my recent trip home to Columbia. I wish this place existed when I was growing up!
The candy selection is amazing. The boiled peanuts are probably the best in town. The pricing is reasonable too. I will be back.

Not much can go wrong with this equation. Large assortment of candy, fudge, and other treats. Multiple boiled peanut flavors, which I’m disappointed I was too full from lunch to try any myself. I would like to try to stop back in before we leave to go back home.

Really good boiled peanuts. Only place downtown to get fresh made Chocolate Pecan Turtles, Fudge, etc. Good Selection of local food as well. FYI Very little metered parking on Lincoln.
