Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt

I’m prefacing this review to inform you that this is specifically for the Columbiana location only. I still love Handles and will still go there.
I’m a lifetime customer of Handles! For years they have been, and still are, my favorite ice cream place. I just moved from Canfield/​Boardman to Salem and the closest Handles is only 5 minutes from my house!
Unfortunately the Columbiana location is frustrating. The ice crème selection, compared to all the other locations, is majorly lacking. I hesitate to bring friends there, because I know what flavors are really popular at other locations, but the Columbiana location doesn’t have them. The other part that seems different than the other Handles locations, are the handwritten cardboard signs, and white masking tape all over their front window covering items they do not have and letting you know of various changes they are making.
Still a Handles fan, but disappointed

So I have visited the Youngstown/​boardman area a few times now and I stayed at the holiday inn boardman on south. Right across the street I see this loonnnggg line for an ice cream place-Handel’s. What’s all the hype I say. Maybe it’s just a convenient spot and it’s hot outside? So I investigate on Unilocal!Low and behold a bunch of reviews and almost all 4 or 5 stars! Gotta be a great place! Well guess what the stars didn’t align that day and I didn’t get to wait the line… so now it’s 2 weeks later and I’m determined to check out what all the hype is all about. I drive 5 miles from my hotel in North Lima, past the DQ steps from Door to the Columbiana location… NO LINE! I’m elated! YAY! Handel’s didn’t disappoint! Fantastic ice cream great service! This ice cream is homemade. Hand dipped and delicious. Pick any flavor. They have several flavors only made depending on the fruit in season! Wow! Just go!
