I go for the music so I’m not commenting on bar or food. This is the place to go if you love Irish music. They have great local and and national Irish musicians. The small stage and room is cozy but oftentimes crowded. The crowd is interactive… singing along and spontaneously Irish dancing. Just a fun place to enjoy Celtic music.

Stopped in here before a show at The Woodlands. We just wanted a beer and some food and were quite disappointed overall. One of the bartenders was quite indifferent and charged us for a beer he never delivered. The sliders were OK and the chili was pretty terrible. We should have ate at The Woodlands, We won’t be back.

Kudos to Pat and family for putting in that kitchen. Had some excellent food, which was definitely a notch above the typical pub fare. Definitely going back(not that I have not been there plenty of times, but the food is an added draw).

One of the best burgers in Columbus. Don’t be in a big hurry as they can be a little busy and like pouring their Guinness pints you may have to wait.

This pub is one of the best in town. A fun neighborhood bar where everyone knows everyone. Live music, delicious pizza, sporting events on tv, and did I mention free popcorn? Byrne’s is everything you want your personal watering hole to be.

Byrne’s is the pub you’re looking for: delicious food that is cheap in prices but doesn’t taste cheap, great staff, nice covered patio you can enjoy even in the rain, and in a stellar location. I love this place. I crave their Paddy Melt often and at least visit weekly(but generally much more often). I even love their vegetarian wrap and am not a vegetarian! Couldn’t love this place more. Literally the only thing I could possibly nitpick about is the ladies room needs some new doors to the 2 stalls. But seriously go here! I hear they’re opening one in Hilliard too!

Byrnes is the best Irish bar in Columbus. Cheap drinks, there’s a pizza place that’ll serve you in the bar. What more could you ask for?

We happened upon this place while driving around town Saturday taking in the city and decided to stop in for a late lunch Saturday around 3pm. The menu isn’t extensive but has all the bar food staples plus some healthy wrap options. We decided to split a veggie wrap and share the sauerkraut balls.(Yes, I know — weird combination.) The wrap was light and very fresh with a simple blend of lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes, cucumber and provolone cheese with a light dressing. The sauerkraut balls were very good. They were probably a bit too large in size, I think I would have preferred them to be more bite size but the wasabi dipping sauce was a very unique and tasty condiment! Overall, we had a good experience, it was fairly empty but looked like a place that could have a decent night crowd.

The service is fast and friendly, the atmosphere is(for Columbus) great, but the food.. . The sad thing isn’t just that they’re next door to one of the best pizza places in the area, but that a) the Philly Cheese steak I had was dull and b) the server didn’t mention that ALL sides were a la carte. It’s particularly cheap of ownership to skimp on even chips as a side. It almost makes me wish I’d come in for beer.

Our favorite neighborhood bar! Not only do we love the staff and the live Irish music, we love grandads pizza, Byrnes burgers, the juke box and free popcorn. It’s more than a weekly stop for us– so glad to have it as our local spot!

I like Byrnes Pub a lot. I watched quite a few Bengals games here last season while slamming home several orders of their chicken wings. The bartender is a nice guy, the drinks are relatively cheap, and the food has been pretty solid. I’ll return for sure.

I visited Byrne’s Pub for the first time last week for a friend’s birthday. Not exactly my kind of place, but I do see its merits including its live music, overall laid back atmosphere and location next to Grandad’s Pizza. Once the bluegrass band started playing, it felt like I was transported into a dive bar in the Appalachian Mountains. A unique experience for me. A little out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The interior is a bit dingy, as is the restroom which uses a shower curtain as a makeshift stall. That threw me off just a little. I was there on a Friday night and it wasn’t too crowded. Service was on point. I can’t speak too much on the food as I ate beforehand. Beer selection was a little disappointing to me and average at best. This is more of a Yuengling and Bud light kind of bar. There are a few craft brews on draft, but not many. I may come back to check out another bluegrass band. The live music is the bar’s main attraction.

A great local pub /dive in the very hip Grandview area of Columbus. Very nice staff who know how to pour a great Guinness. Very nice selection of beers. They have live music and that’s always a treat. They serve Grandad’s Pizza from their location next door. Absolutely delicious!!!

I went here on a beautiful, sunny evening to enjoy the patio and have some good pub grub. Really should have read the reviews first. I ordered a chili dog just for kicks, and it looked like a shrunken cocktail weenie on a mini stale no name bun, smothered in stale chili. My friend ordered a BLT slider that looked like some form of extraterrestrial bacon jerky. We shared the hummus which had no flavor at all, and was accompanied by stale pita and chunks of dried out cucumber. Clearly, this is a place to go to get really drunk, not to eat. The only way I can imagine the food to be edible is if the person consuming it is super inebriated. The server was so rude and abrupt that my friend and I actually burst out laughing.

Love it here! It is a cool place, decent beer selection and cool ambiance. Grandads is excellent pizza & having it available at Byrne’s is so awesome! We also saw a live musician, Mossy Moran, and that made the experience so wonderful! We will visit Byrnes often!

Great neighborhood bar, especially for music. The bar and music area are connected but separated by a divider so that people can enjoy the music on stage in relative isolation from the noise of the neighborhood bar. Lots of good bluegrass and Celtic(if you like that sorta thing) music on a regular basis. Food is good too, but lots of fried stuff. There’s a wedge salad I like.

You know, Byrne’s doesn’t look like much but I rather liked my experience there. The waiter we had was fantastic. So attentive and funny. The food was pretty decent. Nothing is too expensive. We went on a night with a CBJ game going on so many of the patrons were decked out in all their gear and the TVs were tuned in. Despite it getting a little bit crazy, our waiter stayed on it.

Great bar. I play darts here frequently in a league. Food is available, and I had the chicken sandwich. It was pretty tasty and affordable. Also, try the steak fries. Byrne’s has live music, and there is often no cover. So, go check out some irish or bluegrass music. The interior is a little dark and dive-y, but I would say that is part of the charm. There is a good beer selection. The service is good, but the bathrooms could stand to be redone.

I know I’ve written 1 – 2 reviews about Bryne’s, but somehow they are no longer here. I’ve visited Bryne’s on various weekday and weekend nights and have always loved the location, atmosphere, employees, and patrons. They have various artists playing on different nights and we usually make it for the Bluegrass gigs, which get your feet tapping. They have a small window connecting Bryne’s with Grandad’s Pizza next door, what an awesome partnership as it is some of the best thin crust pizza in town. Now, Bryne’s has their own menu with appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, so the pizza menu is very limited to about 5 – 6 different pizzas only. This time around we had the chicken sandwich, which was juicy and had the perfect seasoning! It was«heavy» on the bread, but still delicious. We also couldn’t pass up a Grandad’s pizza and had a 7″ veggie and buffalo chicken. Although it takes longer than usually to get a pizza, it was quite tasty. The veggie pizza was a little light on the cheese, but it was still fantastic! For the first time we had the buffalo chicken pizza and WHOA, baby did it have a kick to it! Be prepared to have some beer to calm the taste buds so you can gobble the next piece down. It was yummy and would be on the docket to order again. The service is great! The place was packed on a Friday night and our server was able to keep track of us as we wandered, settled, wandered, and settled throughout the evening. She was on top of our drinks and food and made sure we were taken care of no matter where we were in the pub. Byrne’s Pub is a great local establishment to Grandview and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is what a community pub should be. No pressure, good people, good fun. Byrne’s is the BEST place to hear Irish music before, during and after St Patrick’s Day… no cover band crap here. Decent pricing, good happy hour. Well-poured pints. They support Irish vodka labels. Great tunes on the jukebox. Parking can be a bit of a PITA, but you’ll make it.
