I come here a lot because it is in my neighborhood. The food is the same as any Panera but the service is terrible. Every time I come here. I feel like my presence is offensive to the staff. Everyone seems put off by having to take my order, make my food, tell me when the food is ready, etc., also it is SOSLOW. For instance I got here at 7:30pm and it is 8pm and they haven’t even started making my order. They’re just standing around. This place is practically empty. I am now waiting on a manager but there is literally no one at the front desk. I yelled out to Alexis but she ignored me and finally someone came out and now they’re refunding me but I am so sad that this Panera is so terrible. This is probably my tenth visit and I have been tempted to give them a poor Unilocal review in the past and this sealed the deal. I hope they go out of business so something better can fill this prime location.

Why do they keep hiring completely new staff every single week? Seriously, they have a sign up for interviews every Monday. Nobody there seems to know what’s going on nor how to do their jobs. For food, it’s Panera. Very overpriced for an ok lunch.

Rapid pickup has always been ready and on time. The food is good, just like any other Panera location. Recommendation: ALWAYSCHECKYOURRAPIDPICKUPORDER!!! We have been burned too many times due to incomplete orders/missing items. Seeing how Panera is so big, it’s surprising there’s not a better quality program being followed at this location.

Panera, I love you. I really do, but this location has failed me now more than once. So disappointed since I can walk to this location from my home. Get it together, please.

If you are a business professional looking to cater breakfast/lunch, go elsewhere. This location is a sure fire way to make yourself late to your meeting, or show up with no food at all because they will lose your order. This is the 5th attempt of mine to let them make it right & naturally my $ 100 rapid pick up order was«lost» because the system was down. No apology was made by any employee or manager nor did anyone try to make the situation right. Having personal experience in the restaurant industry, I understand unexpected circumstances happen, what I do not understand is how the manager does not apologize & try to appease the customer somehow to make it up to them and prevent losing their future business. I will certainly never visit this location again & will gladly take my corporate orders elsewhere from here on out.

I love Panera. Love them. Sure it’s a chain, but they offer so many healthy options to the traditional fast food routines. Their soups can be good or bad, depending on the season and how late in the day it is. That said: Pros for this location — Their cinnamon crunch things are manna from heaven when I am fiending for something sweet but not too sweet. Plus, they donate a LOT of stuff to the homeless/pantries at this specific branch, and that means a lot to me. In a city where I see people eating out of trash cans, any help is awesome. So, Yay for Panera! The half sandwich portions with the soup are my traditional go to, and I always feel stuffed. Great choices of breads/bagels, and they are creative with the soup choices. Why is it not 5 stars? Cons: This particular building? I hate where the drinks fountain is located. I get seated a lot in the alcove up the step and around the corner(don’t know why, and it amuses me to realize how often it happens) Little stairs always make me afraid that i will fall and people can come flying around corners and you run into each other. Bleh. But.all said and done, I love having one located here, and so close to downtown. It can get very busy at lunch. Be prepared.

This place is near my office, so I come a lot. The food and drinks are the same as any other Panera. What sets this place apart from other locations is that the staff yell ALLTHETIME. I sit here trying to do some work and eat and not only do I have to hear the dozens of stories, but I can’t tune them out. BECAUSETHEYSCREAM. It’s the most unprofessional place, and I’m seriously considering just not coming any longer.

I use caterers all the time for business lunches. I’ve used Panera quite often. We have been having quite a few problems lately such as special instructions not being followed, missing items, etc. This can happen. I get it. This morning I received an order for a client meeting and everything reeked of cigarette smoke. I called the catering manager at the S. High store to tell her this was unacceptable and all I got was excuses. No apology, didn’t even sound surprised. She said that they aren’t allowed to smoke in the cars when food is in it so it must just be leftover smoke smell from the driver’s car. I asked her if she thought that was ok to deliver food that smelled like smoke. She said no and said she didn’t understand what I wanted her to do about it. Really? All the business we have given them and this is the service we get? I don’t know about the other associates at our business but I will never be using Panera again.

The food was fine and served in a timely manner. However, 3 stars due to the fact that they were out of everything bagels.

Good Panera location. Plenty of parking, friendly service, variety. They were out of three of their soda selections, and the person that brought us our food forgot a spoon, so we had to track one down. The price is also a bit expensive for what you get. Overall good for a casual fast food place.

The staff seems unaware and lacking basic knowledge on more than one occasion. It has ruined my take out twice. The only nice thing is the size and large amount of seating.

Food is hot and quick, and the staff is relatively friendly. A little chilly in the back room where the restrooms are tucked into hiding. Parking lot is deep, but it’s narrow, so watch your vehicle so it doesn’t get clipped by full-size gas guzzlers. A typical Panera food and service. Nothing super spectacular, but we like the free coffee refills. Courtney was nice.

Went here for coffee/pastry a couple times. Panera does have some good pastries! Coffee was good. The store looks really new, but seems small for seating. I’ve always been happy with lunches at this chain.

Stopped in here after work and was impressed by the size of the place(even though it is the remodeled Claremont restaurant). The food is the same, but it seems like a cool change to the typical Panera store. I would go back again. 4⁄5 stars.

This store is in the old Clarmont restaurant space. I have fond memories of that building. But you’d never know it was the same store. The’ve gutted it and added their own Panera-specific ideas and it looks good as new. I came down for a late lunch. I was really planning on going to Mitchell’s new restaurant but the weren’t serving lunch today. But never mind… I had a half sandwich and a bowl of soup at Panera. And a lemonade. And a cherry pastry. And an apple. The apple was free. The food was very good, except for the soup, which wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great. But their bread was wonderful! I almost bought a loaf of it but I knew I couldn’t eat the whole the before it got stale. But anyway, it was a great lunch!

Panera bread is a good restaurant chain — but there is something slightly wrong with this particular restaurant. It has several good things going for it. The location is good, the parking is good, and the front counter service is good. Unfortunately the seating is awkward, being a series of small(occupied) alcoves rather than a larger, more open room. My main issue however, is the food. The food is good but not quite as good(in my opinion) as other Panera restaurants. Why is that? New employees? That is an ongoing bit of disappointment. Deduct one star for now. There are also issues with getting your order correct and a noticeable lack of attention to detail. That is something that management needs to fix. Deduct one more star for seating/order problems. This is a brand new restaurant and I welcome them to the area. I do plan on adding them to my regular lunch rotation and I hope things will improve as they get better established.

I love Panera as a whole, but this location needs some work! This is very close to my house and I was extremely excited when it opened but every time I visit this location and try to support it I am disappointed. They are ALWAYS out of something no matter what time of day I go and their customer service isn’t great. Yesterday, I went at 3:00 and I ordered the Shrimp Couscous salad. They were out of shrimp so I asked what I could sub and she offered turkey. Great! I can deal with that. BUT, then she gave me my total and she tried to charge me for the substitution. hmmm… so I questioned it and she didn’t really know what to do. She just told me it automatically did that. So, alas, I got my salad without a protein. :(It’s the little things at this location. Maybe they just need more training and need to order appropriately.

Everything you’d expect from a Panera. Plenty of parking for a downtown location and outdoor seating that should be nice when we aren’t recycling polar vortexes every week. The inside feels a bit cramped(long and skinny) compared some some larger locations like Easton /Grandview Heights /Bethel. They shoehorned into the old Clarmont restaurant which might have something to do with it. German Village is certainly not hurting for local choices for deli’s, restaurants and bakeries that are only a block or two away if you want something less predictable and suburban.
