Phy phom phở is underwhelming. I went with their PhoBo which was their traditional phở selection. It wasn’t very good. The broth did not have good flavor. Maybe salt could have helped but I didn’t see any around. I ordered some chicken wings in hopes that it would redeem the lackadaisical phở. The wings were actually pretty terrible. It tasted like they were microwaved and then sauce was put on. No way could they have been fried or even made in an oven. No good. I wished it was better as its in a great location and the price isn’t bad. Unfortunately it was disappointing and I don’t think I will be back.

Phở is my jam. For real. It is my go-to meal, all the time. I feel like you can never go wrong with Phở but I wasn’t 100% sold on the phở here. First of all, this place is like the Bibibop for Vietnamese/Cambodian food. There is no server; rather you go through the line and choose what you want in your food. I don’t mind this concept and was rather excited about it, overall. I attempted carrots and cucumbers which I obviously don’t do at the average phở place and that was fun. However, the broth just was not very tasty. There was something about it that was a little off and just wasn’t for me. My boyfriend got a rice bowl and he enjoyed it a lot so if I go back, I will try that instead. The portions are HUGE which is another plus. The building itself is super small but in a quaint and cozy way. Parking can be a burden depending on when you go so plan ahead. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who is in a hurry to get a very filling meal on the go. If I lived nearby, I’d probably eat here with some frequency because of the great convenience but since I don’t, I doubt I will become a regular.

For my first experience with Phở, I thought it was really good! I wanted it to be as ‘authentic’ as I could make I asked the lady behind the counter to help me pick the most traditional ingredients. HUUUUGE bowl and they definitely don’t skimp on portions– the bowl was stacked to the brim. Only negative would be beverage selection. The only options were specialty drinks and it would have been nice to have access to a fountain soda.

Flavorful! I’d definitely like to go back, to try a different combination of ingredients. The price was moderate($ 7.50), but the serving size was hefty and the people working were so nice! The phở was about as authentic as you could expect at a quick-service restaurant. The toppings were fresh, and so was the atmosphere! The small dine-in area was clean and inviting. If you haven’t tried it yet, go ahead and do it! Why not?

Great food, crappy hours. According to Google and Unilocal it closes at 9 but I just walked there in it closes at 8. Also closed on Sunday’s, which sucks too! Great and inexpensive food though!

I’m still novice when it comes to Phở, so I can’t unbiasedly compare this meal with other Columbus joints. I really enjoyed my meal. I’m not a huge broth fan, thus I decided to go with their rice bowl, instead. Extra chicken and several fresh veggie accompaniments. All atop brown rice. Had Hoisin sauce squirt on top. I did have a slurp of my mother’s beef phở broth, and it was tasty to the tongue. Was it optimal? Couldn’t comment. A delightful warmth to the tummy? Yes. I look forward to trying it myself, next time.

I owe Phy Phom Phở an apology. I live right down the street and ignored them for the better part of the time since they opened. Dismissing them as «just a phở place,» I justified circumventing the restaurant for the sake of my inflated ego. My sincerest apologies. You see, if there were a real-life metaphor to Jack and his Magic Beans, it would come in the form of PPPs phở. My god have they struck gold. The broth deserves culinary awards. I can say that both chicken and beef are worthy options, depending on the mood. On a cold day, there is no other choice for a hearty soup. Can’t wait to try their Rice Bowl next. Also, the people who work here are just the loveliest. The dining area is a bit small, so take note for future plans.

We came here on what was probably the coldest night of 2016. I desperately wanted something that would warm my chilly bones. Upon arriving there was a line of about 5 people. The line creeps along, not fast but not slow either. The process of having to heat up the noodles and meet take a little but so I think that slows it down. However the service was very friendly and offered suggestions. I got the chili ginger beef and really liked it! I think I got every topping(carrots, cilantro, green onion, sprouts) there was and enjoyed my bowl. It was very filling and I left a warm bellied happy camper! They also have an assortment of drinks to choose from many looked like they were authentic. I will definitely be returning but maybe in the off hours since parking can be a real pain. It is work it though!

This is such a nice little restaurant. The food is excellent, especially the phở. If you don’t know what to put into the phở, just order«traditional». Very fresh and tasty. The portions are large. I really like the concept of healthy ethnic fast food, locally owned. We will be back phở sure!

The chicken wings were great, and the service was outstanding. The BaiBo rice bowl was pretty good, but not outstanding. The portion was pretty big. I got the chicken, and thought it was a bit bland/dry, so I’d choose a different protein next time.

They serve both PhoBo noodle soup and BaiBo rice bowl. You choose protein and add-ons. I had PhoBo. Portion is huge and lots of what you ask for in the bowl. Chicken is boiled, it did taste a bit old. All the vegetables were very fresh. Friendly people in a spartan sitting environment. Pretty busy at lunch. Pretty good Phở in an area that lacked it in the past.

I love everything about this place… except the broth. Sadly, when it comes to phở, it’s ALL about the broth(IMO). I love for this Vietnamese soup to be big, bold, rich, and complex. Phy Phom Phở just didn’t do it for me. I found the broth a bit bland, a bit sweet, and kinda boring. I usually inhale all the liquid, but I could only get through about half my bowl here. In good news, Phy Phom Phở is adorable! It’s fast-casual phở, so you know the drill: go down the line and pick everything for your bowl. I do like the customization and all the options! The people are also incredibly friendly and helpful – they get five stars. Phy Phom Phở won’t be my go-to spot, but I can definitely see how this place could appeal to many people, especially those looking for fast, customizable bowls.

I give my 5 stars sparingly and reserve for not only food but atmosphere and over all experience. Having said that, I love his place. The phở’ is fantastic. No frills– get in here and get down to some slurpin!

Let me first say, I really hate giving a bad review. Seriously, I do. Especially when the people are totally nice, like in this case. I first fell in love with phở a couple of years ago and ever since I have made it a personal mission to try every phở place I come across. Last night, I tried both the beef and chicken phở — the product was the reason for the two stars. Broth makes or breaks phở. Sadly, this was my least favorite phở in Columbus.

Fee-fi-fo-fum…this place is amazing! I love traditional phở but it’s often hard to convince my loved ones to join me for a big old bowl of noodle soup. I wasn’t feeling well the other day so I was given a free pass to choose a place of my liking… and Phy Phom Phở was at the top of my list. We entered the small, unassuming restaurant to find a simple restaurant concept not unlike Chipotle and its recent Korean(Bibibop) and Italian(Piada) remakes here in Columbus. You can pick from two options: phở-style noodle soup or a rice bowl with your choice of meat/tofu and fixings(traditional or choose your own). But that’s not all! They have chicken wings, cooked fresh with your choice of sauce, and egg rolls. We opted for a chicken phở bowl with traditional fixings, spicy mango chicken wings, and a veggie spring roll. All three were a big hit! The chicken wings were meaty, cooked well, and perfectly seasoned. The egg roll was a tad greasy for my liking but fresh and crispy. The phở was fantastic — the noodles were cooked just right, the chicken was tender, and the traditional toppings were just what the doctor ordered. In addition to the delicious food, the service was excellent. Both of the individuals working there were helpful, patient, and went out of their way to make our first experience there a great one. We will definitely be back for more!

AMAZING! So delicious and they also have SE Asian specialty beverages for anyone who appreciates that. The phở was delicious and large — chicken w jalapeños, cilantro and basil is a must. They will give u items on the side in small cups also if you are unsure and just want to try. Run by the owner of Mazah with her daughter in law from Battambang Cambodia, so it’s authentic and run by quality restaurant owners. The décor has some Cambodian items like a painting of Angkor wat from the origin. I so loved my time here between the wonderful owners, authenticity and most of all TASTE!

First lets set the record straight — the food here is NOT Vietnamese despite the restaurant name. While the food is excellent quality and tasty, if you’re craving a legit bowl of Phở look elsewhere. Otherwise, this is a nice spot that takes regular soup/rice bowls and kicks them up a notch. No table service — walk on in and order up at the counter, pay, then sit down(chipotle style). You get your choice of «phở» or «bai bo», protein, toppings, and several sauces.

Very pleased with my first visit. I ordered the phở bowl with chicken, all the veggies, and a mix of garlic and chili sauce. From start to finish I was happy with the mix of flavors, the amount of noodles, and the yummy broth. I’ll definitely be coming back. $ 8 for a piping hot bowl of delicious phở, I’m sold.

Ive already been here twice this week and have tried both the phobo and baibo. Both where really good. New concept of phở noodles with a chipotle pick you own toppings mix to it. Spicy mango wings where good, not to spicy, not to sweet. Definitely worth trying.

Wow. I had high expectations as it’s the same owners as Mazah,(which I absolutely adore) but I didn’t imagine it would be this tasty at such a reasonable price! I got the baibo bowl, which is a rice bowl. You pick your protein(I got beef which had a great flavor and really tender) and then you pick your toppings. It was so good I’m planning on coming back tomorrow with my friends! The staff was super friendly and it was a very comfortable atmosphere. Honestly don’t have a negative thing to add.
