Excellent service. Pie was up quick. Low key. Not a huge dining room which keeps things seemingly chill. Husband says the pizza is a yummy combination of Donatos and Pizza King. I dig it.

In My opinion this is ABSOLUTELY one of the best pizza around. I drive almost 60 miles to get this pizza. I discovered this place years ago while at the state basketball tournament. It has been one of mine and my son’s favorites for many years now. The crackery crust and generous toppings makes this taste great. The Garlic Bread is very good as well. Salads are huge and subs are very good as well. I have nothing bad to say about this place and try to go there anytime I’m in the area.

Great pizza, but don’t expect amazing or fast service. It’s run by college kids mostly. It’s not super clean or fancy. There always seems to be people who work there just hanging out… Grabbed some mozza sticks and a pitcher of Coor’s because I know the wait is usually long. It was lunch time on a Saturday and not particularly busy. I’m a big fan of a meatball and pepperoni pizza. Two 25-year olds would have eaten the entire thing if not for the appetizer. Avoid on game days and graduations. Perfect late lunch food on a Sunday.

Divey and ran by kids but fun. And the food is great. At dinner time on a Friday night, they made sure my group of 10 had a comfortable place to dine and talk. No complaints from our group, as far as I know. Even had parking… on campus.

The only thing more amazing than Tommy’s dirt and debris are the reviews of people on Unilocal who actually are perfectly okay with that! We went there on an OSU gameday — I know I should preface this review with that factor — but that’s not an excuse. The place was just gross — shredded paper and trash on the floor, no one doing any kind of cleaning at all. I suppose that’s «part of its charm” — but it’s not a way to win my amore. We were hungry too and passed on staying at the Varsity Club thinking this place would be faster. It wasn’t. Our waitress disappeared. They dropped my pizza and had to cook another without letting us know. It took awhile to get mozzarella sticks — all of this was befuddling to me as it seemed no one else was eating and there were about six employees chillin’ behind the counter. I will say though, once we got it — the pizza was pretty amazing. Beware if you are prone to food comas though — the crust is thin but will leave you feeling heavy. They took off the charge for the mozzarella sticks, so at least they did something right other than the pie.

I think I just was given the short end of the stick out of bad luck. The pizza we ordered was very over cooked, to the point where the crust tasted like a pretzel. I’ve heard so many good things about them, that I’m hoping I just got a bad batch.

Let me just say that Tommy’s is one of my favorite pizza places in Columbus, but I’d prefer take out. The restaurant is old, dirty, and just kinda divey. It is always crowded at lunch and they never open up their 2nd dining room for some reason which annoys me. I’ve only ever had the pizza there and it is really good. There is nothing fancy or artisan or fresh about it, it is just good. I do think it is a bit overpriced for being just regular pizza, but that doesn’t stop me from getting it for lunch from time to time.

Great pizza! Crust is nice and thin but sturdy enough to hold it all. Great flavor, lots of grease. May need a nap after eating.

What a dump. Seriously. It’s old and dingy. But pretty clean. I have lived in Columbus off and on since college. All I can say is this place kicks ass. The pizza is insanely good cracker crust. Most cracker crusts can’t handle a lot of toppings. Not so here. Lots of toppings and the overall taste experience is divine. The subs are also to die for. One of the best pizzas in central Ohio. I have lived and traveled many places so let me restate that. One of the best pizzas anywhere.

Ordered basically a 13″ round supreme pizza. The pizza was just alright. Not great, especially for Tommy’s price. I ended up not finishing it and throwing out the leftovers rather than take them home. On a side note, the pizza was incomprehensibly cut into twenty-five or thirty tiny square pieces. Not sure if they always do this, but I found it to be unexpected — almost comical. I wasn’t so turned off as to rule out trying Tommy’s again, but it’s at the bottom of my list for now.

i went to there to finish my Speaking class’s assignment. At first, the reason I chose Tommy’s Pizza was that it was close to my Tower. However, after I tasted the pizza here, I fell in love with it! My friends and I came to Tommy’s pizza and ordered a large pizza, a, and a Shrimp Dinner. The pizza has plentiful Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Sausage, Green Pepper, Onion and so on. The crust is thin and crispy. I like shrimps as well because I like fried food. However, I don’t like the environment there. The table looks a little dirty and the bathroom needs more clean. Overall, pizzas in Tommy’s pizza are yummy and I strongly recommend you to try it.

This Tommy’s location is where I often pick-up pizza on non-game days. I can’t imagine how busy it is on a game day. In the evenings I’ll see maybe 10 people in the dining room. The dining room on the other side of the restaurant is usually closed and I’ll see the employees or their friends hanging out there. It’s closer than the Upper Arlington location and it seems like they often scrimp on the pepperoni. But they are always very nice and they never forget to offer Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes.

Number of visit: ~5 I’ve gone to Tommy’s for lunch with coworkers on occasion. They have a lunch special, where you get half a sandwich, a side, and drinks for a good price.(I can’t remember the exact amount at the moment.) This is what I’ve always ordered. The sandwiches aren’t groundbreaking, but they’re adequate. The place has a pretty good atmosphere being a campus pizza/sandwich place. I’ve never had the pizza so I can’t comment there. I probably wouldn’t choose to go here myself, but you could do worse.

I came here for lunch today after a meeting on campus. This was my first experience and i DIDNOT have pizza. so perhaps that biases the review. I had an italian sub with fries and a drink. Due to being the weekend, there was no combo, so each had to be purchased separately. Note to the wise: the fries and drinks come in extra large sizes, so your drink is probably 40+ oz and the fries are large enough to serve 2 – 3 comfortably. Fries are crinkle cut type, old school, and are potatoey, that was a plus. The italian was fairly large as well. The quality of ingredients weren’t all that hot and the spices used didn’t really add value to the sub. The salami was really thick cut and didn’t really have the spice I was hoping for. The italian dressing wasn’t all that great, probably tasted more like olive oil and grease more than anything. Honestly, i think the italian at Subway(across the street) tastes better. I’ll likely be back tho, I’d like to try their pizza as everyone raves about it. From an ambiance perspective(which I really don’t care about), its definitely more of a college scene with minimal upkeep since the 80s. but again, it’s a college quick eat shop, so you can’t really care too much. FYI: they have Ms Pacman and Galaga :)

Tommy’s Pizza might possibly be the best best thin pizza in Columbus! I have to give this pizza the rare five stars. Went on a weeknight for dine in. The dining room had about five tables and was pretty quiet. One of the plainest dining rooms ever with old carpeting and cheap tables and chairs. Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, meatballs, and mushroom. Asked for the pizza to be cooked in the old Baker’s Pride oven. An older gentlemen was working the pizza oven and delivered the best Tommy’s pizza I have ever eaten in Columbus! The thin crust pizza had crispy crust and the pepperoni’s,(although not as thick as the old pepperoni’s) still cupped and blackened on the edges. The mushrooms were fresh and the meatballs were semi-soft, with a taste of veal and possibly pork mixed with ground beef. All toppings besides the cheese were generous and came to $ 18.50. At Tommy’s PIzza the pizza is the star of the show. Only four beer choices with two of the offerings Miller Lite and Coors Light. Bathrooms are in the basement and in much need of remodeling(and/or cleaning). Takeaway’s from the pizza experience. 1.) Order a large pizza because 15″ pizza’s have more toppings per square inch compared to a small or medium. 2.) Get the pizza for dine in. 3.) Look for an experienced pizza maker. 4.) Ask for the pizza to be cooked in the old Baker’s Pride oven(tastes better). I have eaten at all Tommy’s locations on the Northwest side. This was the best pie yet! One of the Top 5 reasons to live in Columbus!

The Pizza: 4.5 Stars Tommy’s is my favorite campus area pizza. This is the thin, airy, crisp crust that I grew up loving. Add fresh toppings in abundance and this is great pizza. The Restaurant: 3.5 Stars No stars for service, comfort or ambiance(though you can’t really go wrong with scarlet and gray décor). The bathrooms are down a long stairway that also serves sometimes as a delivery chute. The chairs and booths are uncomfortable and outdated. But it is, after all, a college campus area and the location is outstanding. Good value.

Food is okay, like the pizza and the meatball subs. Service is shoddy, usually they are pretty rude and terse. I’ve had several bad experiences here where I’m wondering why the waiter or cook still works here. One time they were talking about finding a roach in their burger king food while I was waiting for my food. Please don’t talk about it when you work at a place I’m ordering food from! Sometimes they seem pissed off. Well, go home and don’t work then! I would have gone here much more if it weren’t for the sporadic weird experiences I’ve had with the staff, even when I try to call ahead and just pick it up. Sigh.

TOMMYS. IS. AMAZING! From the outside looking in, you are probably thinking… ehhhh I’m not sure if I want to give it a shot. LOOKSAREDECEIVING. Tommy’s Pizza is so amazing. I currently live in Cincinnati and would love for them to place a location down here. This Lane Street location tastes A LOT different than there other locations. Yet, it’s a great place to go before a football game, before heading to a nearby party or heck just because you are hungry. The place is kind of small, so expect to get your pizza to go on game days. 5 stars for a reason. It’s no big box pizza company but there tastes are wonderfully, amazing. I stick with Pepperoni and Extra Cheese. I’m satisfied.

Tommy’s Pizza has it all, a nice thin, but substantial, crust, a sweet and savory sauce, pepperonis that crisp up, and wonderful cheese. However, if you want Tommy’s pizza, I would order it for take-out. The food is great, don’t get me wrong. But the cleanliness of the place is VERY lacking. I used the restroom in this place and it felt like I was walking into a dungeon. There were flies about and pee stains all over the toilet. If I were you, I would just head to the other Tommy’s location further west on Lane Avenue. Much cleaner and friendlier!

The thin crust cheese was the perfect meal to share with my best friend at one of the warmer OSU home games. During the game, there was a little of a wait… to be expected. We wanted more than the single slice option at Varsity Club, or the cheese fries at any of the side carts. They were very efficient that day. They had the pepperoni and cheeses ready to go. I was very happy, and a little surprised that it was so good. It had just come out of the oven though. We got lucky. I don’t know that I would venture to Tommy’s in a sober state. Perhaps I should though. This memory I have needs to be tested.
