Not sure why I have never reviewed this Meijer before, my parents live right down the street from it. As others have mentioned, the layout is a little older/weird, but I prefer it to my local Royal Oak/Troy one … the food is to the right, when you walk in, but the frozen foods are in the front after you pass by the produce(in RO, it’s all the way at the back). Greeters are always friendly and when I used to frequent this store(the 3 years I lived in Walled Lake, post-college) I never had any issues with it. I came here super early(8am, eesh) on Black Friday to look for their $ 24 coats, I didn’t end up buying one(sizes were a little small + quality was just okay) but I did snag some Corningware for half off, which was nice.

I hate this Meijer location! I have been going to this Meijer for as long as I can remember and it has always been terrible! I have been to many different locations and have never felt the same as I do when I come to this one. The Meijer in Auburn Hills is amazing, the one in Rochester is great, the one in Brighton is descent, but the one in West Bloomfield is in desperate need of a face lift. The cashiers move slower than shit up hill, they are in no rush and could care less if you have been waiting in line for 25 minutes with a pack of gum and bananas. It doesn’t help that they have 30 lanes but only have 1 open. I really wish this location would step it up because it is a huge provider for the community.

In general I like Meijer a lot. They have everything you could possibly need. The gas is usually cheaper than other places. This Meijer often runs out of produce and doesn’t restock right away. For example today they were out of ginger. I wouldn’t recommend shopping on Sunday or Monday here.

I like Meijer quite a bit. This location is a little smaller than some but still had a good selection. Don’t shop late on Sundays or Mondays, the shelves aren’t as well stocked. Good local beer selection and great organic options which I really like. I had one cashier give me a very hard time about buying some liquor, asking me questions about my ID and such. Yes do your job, but you aren’t the TSA. I’m 31 not 21, sheesh.

An older Meijer store… The layout isn’t the same as some of the others. They have just about anything you may need. I found everything I wanted on my shopping trip. They had some great specials today… A lot of 10/$ 10 and $ 1 packages of strawberries… The bad thing was there was no one to help. No one. Anywhere. I had trouble finding a particular spice and was going to ask someone, but couldn’t find an employee around. In addition, I went to the meat counter to buy some hamburger. I waited. And waited. And waited. I finally saw the sign that said«Ring bell for service». After I rang it I wanted awhile more and finally a gentleman came out to help and he was very nice, but why wouldn’t they have someone at the counter on a busy Saturday? The checkout staff was ok. No one seems to understand how to pack a re-useable shopping bag so that you can actually close it, anyway.

First off, let me say that Meijer is an excellent store. It’s a one-stop shop for just about anything you need. And it’s open 24 hours, 364 days a year(they close on Christmas), so it’s there when you need it. And the prices are usually lower than other stores. This store in particular is a great branch. It’s usually well stocked, and if I can’t find something, the employees are easy to find and very helpful(good attitudes). As previous reviews compare Meijer to Walmart, I’ll say that it’s always a struggle to find people to help me at Walmart. When I was moving, I came here a few times to get boxes. Even in the middle of the night, the employees were nice and willing to help. I would normally give Meijer 5 stars, but I had to dock a star because of a pretty bad experience I had recently at the pharmacy.(I’m hoping it’s a one-off, so I’m not taking off more stars). I had to pick up a prescription cold medication. First, I had to wait 15 – 20 minutes in line just to drop off the prescription(I’m willing to let it go as maybe it was just a horribly busy time). The lady at the counter was very nice and said I should come back in 30 minutes to pick it up. There was a little confusion about my insurance, but she clarified and put it in the system(or so I thought). I did some shopping(at Meijer) and came back in 30 minutes. There I waited another 15 minutes in line to ask someone if my prescription was ready. I was ok until this point. The person at the counter told me my prescription was ready, but did I have insurance? I said yes, and that I had given it to the lady at the counter when I dropped off the prescription. He looked confused for a minute and got my insurance info again. He politely asked me to step aside while they sort it out. 20 minutes later, I’m still waiting for my prescription, and by now the line had cleared. I went up to the counter again, and the person says that someone is on the phone with my insurance and they’ll call me when they are ready. Another 20 minutes went by… Finally, I got my prescription, and headed home. On the way, I opened the box and looked in. There was suppose to be a card with 3 pills. The card I had gotten had one pill, and two pills popped out. Seriously?! From a legitimate pharmacy?! Moral of the story: 1) The pharmacists(or people behind the pharmacy counter) are nice, but slow. 2) They don’t have a good system to call people when their prescriptions are ready. 3) Always check your the prescriptions(and count your pills!) in case someone at the pharmacy is siphoning drugs.

Horrible when you go to pay. It seems like there is never anything open except self checkout. Food quality and selection is decent, but the meijer in Brighton trumps this one by a long shot.

had to make a stop for some much needed items I knew I could find at Meijer and that I remember were cheaper at Meijer. One item I always need is Dry Cat Food. with 24yr old cats they love only one brand — Purina — Healthful Life variety. Anytime I buy anything else my cats simply will ignore the food. The best part is for the time being I can buy a large bag for $ 7.49 which is the Regular Meijer Price. the same brand & variety at local Pet Supplies Plus is $ 9.50. It’s nice to be able to save $ 2 on something you always use. Also Meijer sells the Keurig K-Cups I love for use in my Keurig coffee machine. Meijer sells the 12pks for $ 6.49 vs the same 12pks at Kroger for $ 8.99. AWESOMESAUCE is all I can say. More Savings! Was able to pick up a few more things I needed to get through the weekend. Meijer brand flour tortillas for making my homemade fajitas tonight. 8pk was only $ 1.59 vs the Kroger brand of fajita sized tortillas for $ 1.89. Boom Bang. savings. I like it.
