Dairy Queen

Stopped in this DQ for a blizzard on a road trip. Took too long to help customers. This issue was compounded by the staff messing up orders and having to fix them. Then, once we were finally given our blizzards, theo utside of one was dripping with ice cream which we had to clean off. The cashier assured us it was water, but it was white, so…
Also, there was no soap or hand towels in the men’s room.

Very nice DQ. Clean store, nice staff, quick service, and recently built. Dipped cone was typical DQ flavor and quality (good). Grilled chicken sandwich tasted surprisingly fresh but needed additional flavor (Wendy’s has the best GCS of the chains simply because of their sauce).

I don’t usually bother to review ½ the restaurants I go to, especially the fast good joints, so why a 4-​star review for a Dairy Queen off the interstate near an outlet mall?
The owner. Loved him. Greeted us on entering. Treated his employees with respect. Had posted a quote from Ghandi about treating people well. Came and chatted with us while we were eating to make sure everything was good. Bid us well upon departure. I have never felt more special in a fast food restaurant, where I am usually happy simply to be acknowledged.
The DQ Blizzard is also a guilty pleasure of mine, so that doesn’t hurt the rating either.
There’s nothing special about the food here. It is a DQ, no more, no less. But the owner earned my repeat business and rating with his attitude.
