Hell yes I’m a fan! The beef is perfectly moist and delicious. The roll it comes on is exquisitely tender, yet strong enough to hold double meat. The sandwich is made with provolone cheese, not cheese whiz and it’s topped with slices of green and red bell peppers. In addition to the conventional Philly cheesesteak, they offer a half dozen or more other variations. The one that caught my eye was the Green Chile cheesesteak. I got the chili on the side so I could try the sandwich wit and witout the chile. The sandwich is pretty damn good straight up. But adding the green chile made it sooooo much better. We’re talking like Hatch green chiles here. Or possibly Ortega green chiles. Something along those lines. They make their own potato chips here and they are just ridiculously good. They have curly fries too, and they seem to be very popular. But listen: forget those stupid curly fries! It’s all about the chips at this place.

Great sandwiches that I’ve been eating since I was a kid but the new employees they have in there have the worst customer service skills. The lady who took my order the other day couldn’t even understand me on the phone order and when i got to the restaurant to pick up my food it took 10 minutes to pick up my order because there was only one cashier working. There was 4 other workers making sandwiches but none of them came to help the big line that wanted to order. WHEN I GOTHOMETHEREWASNORECIEPTINMYBAGANDNOBELLPEPPERSONTHESIDELIKE I ASKED. They’re very rude and unprofessional unlike the lafayette location, don’t eat here!!!

I used to love this place, but they’ve gone through some changes and now I can’t get the sandwich I want EVER. This is the third and last time I’m trying. The people working are disinterested at best. I don’t know if it’s a language barrier or what, but I’ll be finding another cheesesteak shop. Capriottis is in the plaza and just as good. It is SO frustrating to get poor service, but the food quality has dropped off as well. Go somewhere else until they get their act together.

Philly cheesesteak was delicious! Even though the Hispanic employee lady looked irritated because I told her extra cheese and when got my food order it didn’t have extra cheese on it! But she wasn’t going to ruin my taste buds lol. Only down fall is that you guys don’t have one in Southern California!(you know the best state in the world)

Cheesesteaks are AWESOME. This place makes the best around. If you’ve never had a cheesesteak you need to blow the diet and try one! My only mild complaint is that the fries are always really dry but I love those cheesesteaks so much I don’t even care! Give the Cheesesteak shop a try!

Updating my review here. They now have an employee from the Walnut Creek location managing this one! So the customer experience has definitely improved. The food is slightly better than it was previously… but for some reason not quite as stellar as the Walnut Creek location, not sure why this is. Great to see they gave the worker from WC his own location. Managing at least. Hes a nice guy and makes phone ordering really easy! Ill have to ask his name next time in in there and add it to my review later on. Way to go!

I pass by here on my way home four times a week, and today I finally stopped. I got a traditional cheesesteak with no onions and light peppers, and it came done well. Maybe a little more cheese, but it didn’t bother me. It came fast, and they were busy. My only small complaint was the fries needed to be a little crisper. Other then that, yummy. I hope my visits in the future are the same.

Not as good as they used to be when I was growing up. I’m not sure if they’re under new management or what have you, but I don’t think I’m ever going back. The past two times I’ve gone, the sandwiches were incredibly dry. Onions and mushrooms were just not cooked, whatsoever. The portions must have gotten smaller. When they asked if I wanted a small or large side of curly fries, I said small thinking I’d get more than 5 fries… literally. My mom got a side of their seasoned chips, which were sliced too thick, making them harder to fry obviously, so they were undercooked. The bread is hard. You have the option of getting hot peppers, sweet peppers, or both. It really doesn’t make a difference with what you choose, they all taste the same… bland. Wouldn’t really suggest it.

Welp I tried again. Mistake. First the girl taking my order could not understand me, why? Well guess. Spanish is her first and apparently only language. Ridiculous. My sandwich was 11.00 I asked for the meat cheese hot peppers light onions to all be cooked together in order to not have dry meat. Well I guess I should have asked in Spanish because the meat is dry as ever and the cheese is at the bottom of the bread doing nothing for the meat. Needless to say i will not return. Such a shame this used to be an amazing place.

Love this spot! It’s a little pricy, but it’s the best cheese steak I’ve had on the west coast. Good fries, too

After living in Philly area for 23 years I am skeptical when I see a cheese steak shop on the west coast — especially one brandishing the Liberty Bell logo. Ordered the«King of Philly», and looked at the art on the walls. Among the enlarged photos of steak shops in PA, I see Dray’s(now Cheungs) 6 blocks from my east coast house! You have to know what/where that place is because it’s way off the beaten path. Sandwich was good and authentic, though lacking the Amaroso roll. I’ll be back!

I love their sandwiches but I wish they would use gloves! Place feels a bit sticky and dirty, but most Cheese Steak Shops I have been to have the same feeling. That said, I love the chicken Philly cheesesteaks. Salty, cheesy, awesome.

This is the place we crave every once in awhile and whole family says YES!(Not easy with our picky eaters). Orders always done right, with our bizarre special requests, hot & ready when we pick them up, great, fresh food, super nice people working there, love the daily specials(ask) and the yellow stamp cards. I don’t get the negativity-been going here since I was a teenager and not a single complaint or screw up on their part, ever…

Tasty cheesesteak sandwich and Garlic fries. I had to spread the garlic/oil on my fries though cause it was one area of the platter.

Never got the sandwiches, the manager Ramos screwed up the order and the kept telling me it was my fault as I attempted to correct. Four times I tried to get him to correct my order and four times he told me I was wrong. Horrible customer service from a manager in inexcusable. How hard is it to work with a customer and correct the order and provide good customer service? If you are incapable of that how can you possibly be a manager? Cannot imagine the owner has any idea of how Ramos treats customers. Hope they make some changes, I would never make a purchase from this place while Ramos is their manager.

Delicious cheesesteaks!!! Very clean location nice lady behind the counter. I just wish it were closer to the freeway and there were better parking. Other then that the food was fast and great 2 Phillies 10″, fries and a drink for 24 $

I have been to 4 of the Cheese Steak Shops and I absolutely love them. Their customer service is amazing and super friendly. I was unaware of the zucchini until recently but it was delicious. Thanks for providing not only wonderfully fat food but amazing service!

I WOULDGIVETHISSHITNEGATIVESTARSIF I COULD. My «sandwich» if you want to call it that, was tiny and dry. It had no cheese and barely any meat. The meat was so dry I couldn’t finish it. The bacon was all fat and I couldn’t even chew it. I wouldn’t feed this shit to my neighbors dog. Everyone who has given this place more than 3 stars saying«Best sandwich ever» and«really indulging» has obviously never had anything better than mediocre food.

The pictures definitely does not do this place justice. I guess you could never make a Philly cheesesteak«pretty» or «instagrammable.» The flavors are totally spot on. The bread was amazing too. I ordered the cheesesteak with mushroom and it was perfect. I thought I would be hungry afterwards, but it was definitely enough. The place is totally unassuming. I recommend grabbing it to go and eating it elsewhere. With all the cooking, there is definitely a smell that I don’t like while I’m eating. Also ordered the zucchini fries which weren’t the greatest. They had too much breading. Onion rings were good.

So I have had real Philly cheesesteaks and this place is good. The service was fast and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I like the many options that are flexible for everyone. I got the chicken Guylic with spinach with the peppers on the side so my 2 year old could share with me. The peppers were nice, sweet and moderately spicy. Overall, good for what you get and there are not many other places to compare this place to in the area. It’s on the way home for us so will probably come back.
