This is where I went for my rosacea treatment when my dermatologist was not helpful. The dermatologist just prescribed an antibiotic for my «acne rosacea» but I don’t have acne. I just have the redness, sensitivity and broken capillaries which are so typical of rosacea. When I had a consultation at EBAC, I was given recommendations for several products to use at home. My skin never looked better! I kind of got lazy and honestly was trying to save some money so I stopped buying the products. My skin has not been in very good shape since. The only reason that I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the limited hours of operation and the lack of online ordering(which they used to have). Online ordering or reordering is important when a business isn’t open a whole lot.

I have incredible glowing skin thanks to this place! I get compliments all the time. Lynn uses the lastest technology to help my skin stay clear, along with great vitamin filled products I used on a daily basis. It can be pricy. but it’s totally worth it to me.

Although, I didn’t get to experience the actual services this place provides I would like to leave some feedback due to my own small experience I had with this place. I got in on a cancelled appointment on a Saturday morning. The place was relatively easy to find and when arriving I was greeted by a very nice lady. I asked her if they took CareCredit and was told she didn’t know. If you don’t know what CareCredit is let me explain this. It is a credit card specifically for skin clinics(Dermatologists), dental, and even vets. Now where this was my fault was that I should have realized that this center doesn’t actually have doctors and if you know anything about CareCredit then you would know that it only covers places that have actual Dermatologists working there. I should have asked ahead of time and was still going to go through with my consult, till the man arrived. I do not know his name because he wouldn’t provide it to me. He was so upset with me about not asking ahead of time if the office took CareCredit and pretty much instantly lashed out at me. Saying things like you wasted our time and many other people would have liked this appointment. I even told him you don’t have to be rude about this. He instantly became VERY unprofessional and aggressive enough to upset my husband and child in the waiting room. I have worked in customer service when I was in my 20’s and would never treat any person the way he treated me. My husband began to intervene explaining to him the situation but the man continued to be very angry. I really feel like this was a blessing in disguise. In no way should a business operate on this level no matter if the client makes a mistake or not. I would have still gone through with my consult if treated differently. If this man could be so quick to jump in anger do you truly want him working on your skin? I now go to a dermatologist in Walnut Creek, someone much more professional and kind. I told her the situation and she said she would never have allowed her staff or herself to act in this way towards a client. Regardless, if a mistake was made after all people are human. It doesn’t give another person a right to treat us badly. Take my advice and go to a Dermatologist. A doctor who is professional with an education who isn’t just trying to sell their products or make you buy things that you really don’t need or even desperate enough for business in such a way that it makes them lash out at potential client for, «wasting their time». This office also now has my personal information and I am hoping they are smart enough to not try and use it in a negative way.

I’ve been a satisfied client for about 9 years, and travel by bike and BART from Downtown Oakland to see Lynn and Daryl whenever I can. Simply put, one of the best I’ve tried in the Bay Area, if not the best. Lynn is *very* knowledgeable of her trade and has been practicing skincare for a long time. Also, she does not try to sell anything or push a product line as I’ve noticed to be the case in many other cosmetology boutiques, but she does provide very useful information about various skin products and treatments if asked. I have a bit of a problem skin and I must say I have gotten relief and great advice along the years. Prices are fairly reasonable and you do get bang for your buck. Also, I’ve been given discount on quite a few occasions, I do feel I’m being valued as a long-term customer, even though I’m not the most regular visitor due to freelance –related money flow issues;)) Daryl does a great job co-running the business and together with Lynn he makes sure you’ll feel welcome.

I came to East Bay Acne with severe Adult acne. I had already spent years and thousands of dollars on different products, dermatologist, and aestheticians with no progress made. Within a couple of months we had acne completely under control and scarring reduced. FYI, in order to get those kind of results I was getting a peel done once a month. I continue to do peels regularly and follow their recommendations with all the products I use. If I go more than 6 months without a peel my acne tends to flair up. If you stick with it you will get results. Be aware though, it is NOT a cheap solution.

After suffering from acne for over 20 years, Lynne and Carol really helped me out. These gals know their stuff. If you follow the régime, you will get results. It is that simple. They also have fabulous anti-aging products that can be combined with your daily routine to keep you acne-free and wrinkle-free. I love how Lynne really stays on top of new products and procedures. The products are second to none. I wouldn’t put anything else on my face at this point. This place is one of the best things to happen to me. Thank you EBAC!

If Lynne likes you, she’s nice and helpful. Otherwise, she’s just there to take your money. She asked me why I wasn’t coming back for facials once when I was standing in the lobby buying something else and I told her because it made my face bleed and scab. She then proceeded to tell me how this was my fault and I should have let them know. Once I wasn’t charged correctly for something and they charged my credit card for the additional cost before I even got home! Without telling me beforehand! There are certain products I buy there that I don’t know where else to get them but I always wait until the sale and open house in December and stock up. The open house is actually very nice and catered very well but otherwise forget it.

I started going here back in Oct because I had acne issues and I have been given great advice and quality service from Tracy(my esthetician). I do peels once a month and my skin is looking so great… you could never tell how bad my acne used to be. They are lifesavers here!
