Love love LOVE. I’m from San Francisco & I always go to their location that’s close to my parents home. I didn’t know about this location until my parents decided to surprise me at work with their food and a coworker told me they had a location out here. I was scared when I first went. I had high hopes since I love the one back home but yes I was NOT disappointed at all. The food is just as delicious and I am so excited that I don’t have to wait til I visit my parents to have their food. I wish they were in a more convenient spot for me to get to, but it’s still worth the trip.

While the burritos are large and filling and I appreciate that they offer whole beans as well as refried, the suiza quesadilla is the thing to get here. Great cheese and a filling meal with the al pastor. Service was nice, our food came out quickly and I really enjoyed their salsas as well. Nothing fancy, just a descent local chain in the area.

I love this place. Prices are super reasonable and the food is bomb! I definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in the area. They are nice people, with good customer service and great food.

Place is awesome. Not the best looking building but it’s what’s on the inside that counts and the burritos, nachos and quesadillas are of the charts good. Can’t speak to the rest of the menu cause these are my three go tos. You won’t regret trying this place out!

I just love this place. I always order a asada super burrito & my man orders pastor super burrito. We split both burritos since both meats are bomb. A couple days ago my bf brought home a chili verde taco. Didn’t even know they had chili verde. Chile Verde was one of the best I’ve ever had. I had bf go pick up 2 Chile Verde super burritos for dinner. Can’t wait. update — burritos were bomb ! Omg best chili verde burrito I’ve ever had. It was packed with meat. So much that I could only finish half. Makes my decision next time much much harder. Asada, pastor & Chile Verde are all delicious !!!

Order the steak /grilled chicken burrito here with cheese. Very delicious. Juicy burrito fresh rice and pinto beans. Salsas was kinda hard to find next to the cashier. Should put it somewhere else. For more room to put salsas. Very roomy inside. they closed the right side dinning room when I was there. Looks like it can pack a lot of people. Great burritos here !

Eaten at other locations in San Francisco. This was one of my go to late night spots. Now, this location is right by work. Quesadillas Suiza is so damn good, why do you have to be so close to my office? This is bad for my diet. Super fast and cheap for lunch, also great to help your hangover the next day. Dont miss out on the salsa bar, avocado salsa, sooo good. Try it now!

I love the food here. It’s definitely not SoCal food but it definitely hits close to home! Their meat is seasoned great and it’s very juicy. Also I love the kinds of tortilla they use here. I also appreciate that they can wrap their burritos well versus other places that I feel just don’t really know how to wrap it correctly. On multiple occasions, I’ve got their super quesadilla here and it’s amazing. It’s practically like a socal burrito but in quesadilla form. Tortilla, meat, sour cream, cheese, more cheese, and avocado. All they’re missing from this is some french fries and it’s a cali(minus the avocado)! Overall, recommend this place for anyone looking for some good mexican food in the east bay. However, I do wish they were open late :(

I go this place often when I go to Wells Fargo Downtown. We usually get the Super Quesadilla Suiza with Carne Asada & no tomatoes & they always make it perfect. this item is fairly priced. I think their regular tacos are great, but overpriced. I go here at least once a month & My Sons will go here often for lunch. The parking sucks & they are never really crowded, but the food is great & so is their green salsa!

The best food for amazing prices. There are usually a few different specials. And they are always under 7 bucks! Yup. 7 bucks for a plate of delicious freshly made Mexican food. The suiza is what my fiancé orders. It was so good I could t believe it. Hot and cheesy and the flavor of that meat was so mouthwatering I’m getting hungry thinking about it. An absolute must try.

I love going to their original location in the Mission, but since I live in Concord, I frequent this location more often. While the food isn’t as great as their Mission location, it’s easily the best tasting burrito in Concord! Prices and portions are reasonable. My favorite part about the burrito is that they use fresh avocado. Will definitely keep coming here. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I do feel that service is lacking. No smiles or warmth, they just take your order, make your food and expect you to leave. Practically everyone gets take out here, even though there is plenty of seating. Lastly, parking can be tough sometimes.

I’ve eaten El Farolito’s on Mission a bunch of times around 2am. I usually get the Suiza or Super burrito and it’s always good. Juicy meat, melted cheese with toasted tortilla wrapped really tight. Walked into the El Farolito’s 6 in Concord and it did not disappoint or lose any authenticity. My Super carne Asade burrito was wrapped tight and stuffed with flavorful carne, cheese, guac and tomato. The salsa bar had a great spicy red and green medium with fresh Pico de gallo. It’s all about the food so don’t pay attention to the location or atmosphere here. It would get 5 stars if it had free chips. They charge $.50 per bag or basket. Going to come back to compare the Suiza and horchata soon.

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in downtown Concord area then this is the place to go. Super burritos– Very generous portions with a good amount of meat. There’s real avocado slices in the burrito not just some green guac that you don’t know what’s it made out of. I’ve tried the carne asada(steak), lengua(tongue) and carnitas(fried pork). They are all good but I’ll have to say carne asada is the best one. Super quesadilla– Not the best thing on the menu. My friend ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it was super watery, which made it super gross. If you tried to pick it up it will just start dripping. The flavor itself was decent though. The shrimp quality could be better. My theory is that the shrimp was frozen which caused the extra water when it was cooked. Most ppl order to go but there’s plenty of seating inside. There is limited street parking but there’s a lot across the street.

Not friendly at all. I decided to speak in English instead of Spanish and I got the gringo treatment. The cashier was impatient(I had never eaten here before) upset at me when he didn’t hear my order correctly 2 times. He made me feel bad since he was upset. Ieft a tip to make him feel better. Rice was good as was the beans, taquitos were alright, just cubed beef, not string beef in a traditional fashion. I didn’t know they topped it with sour cream and it wasn’t stated on the menu, now I know better. I want to try ride place again because it’s affordable, but I’m gonna leave it at 3 stars for mediocre.

The El Farolito in the Mission gets all the love and the long lines, but this Concord location stays under the radar. The food quality is almost as good as the one in the city. Not a huge difference. I get tacos and the quesadilla suiza with al pastor pretty much every time I come. The pastor is top notch… flavorful, small, crunchy pieces and it’s brown(not red). Also, pescado is not on the menu, but if you ask for it, they can do it. Between this El Farolito and Tortilleria El Molina on Monument Blvd, these are easily the best Mexican options in the Concord area. Don’t waste your time with other Mexican joints in the area. I’ve tried almost all of em. This advice, coming from an Asian person of course. Lol –_–

Last Friday, I ate at El Farolito @ 24th and Mission in San Francisco. Their Unilocal review so overwhelmingly obliterated the competition that I had to try it. I told my sister, who was visiting from out of town and jonesing for some solid Mexican food, to meet my wife and I at El Farolito in the Mission. She and her husband brought along some of their SF friends who raved about the place. It was a first for me but the meal was truly epic. I ordered a Super Quesadilla Suiza Al Pastor and, though I couldn’t come close to finishing it, I found every bite of that quesadilla delectable. When I saw on their menu that they had a Concord location, I shook my head in disbelief. Solid, nay awesome Mexican food a couple of miles from my house? You must be kidding. Today, I asked my wife that we grab lunch @ El Farolito in Concord as I wanted to do as close to an objective side-by-side comparison. It’s only been 6 days since my epic Quesadilla lunch in the Mission, so I figured it was still fresh enough in my memory. Of course, in order to try and keep the comparison unbiased, I ordered the Super Quesadilla Suiza Al Pastor. My wife got the Chile Rellenos, just like she ordered in the Mission last week. We both thought the food was very very good. In fact, I was remiss to find a serious flaw in my quesadilla. It wasn’t nearly as generously packed as the one in the Mission and certainly didn’t overflow with Cheesy & Sour Cream goodness like it did in SF. Still, I had more than enough food and, at $ 6.75, I really can’t ask for more value. I did think, though, that the BBQ Pork al Pastor wasn’t nearly as tender and juicy as the one I had last week. I thought it was a little tough. My wife went so far as to say my meat sucked. She, on the other hand, had no complaints about her own meal save, perhaps, the magic of eating in a packed taqueria in the Mission. Our meal here felt much more lonely and desperate. Not quite sure why but there is a feeling of desperation in an empty taqueria, no matter how good the food is. I will definitely come back as I think this definitely places in my top 5 Mexican joints in the 925. It’s definitely up there with Taqueria El Molino, New Mecca, and Los Panchos. Next time, I’ll try a different dish and try to rate El Farolito 6 on its own merits, not as a pale comparison of its big brother way out in the Mission.

The el farolito in the mission serves up some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life. Only recently realizing there was another location closer to home, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Though this location is under the same el farolito umbrella of restaurants, clearly location makes a huge difference with respect to the quality. None of the meat had that punch of flavor of the mission location. In fact the normally fantastic el pastor was hardly discernible on my nachos. Lost in a sea of beans and soggy chips. The chips were clearly out of a bag and not made fresh. The carne asada burrito was again lacking in flavor. Opting more for an abundance of fillings rather than tasty meat. Overall pretty disappointed. I will be sticking to my occasional treat in the mission

Sometimes I feel bad for friends that want to take me to lunch and really talk up a place and inside I’m not impressed but I fain like I am. While the person who took me was correct in that its cheap for the amount of food. Id end it there. I ordered a #22 Cheese Enchilada with Rice and. Beans. On the side was pile of shredded lettuce with half an Avocado on the side. It also came with Sour Cream that I didn’t even have to ask for. That’s always good. The Enchilada Sauce was not home made and actually quite disappointing and tasteless. Needless to say I was not impressed. I guess I could have been more adventurous with my menu choice but I was newly pregnant and couldn’t delve that deep into the menu. Could I just get some nice homemade Enchilada Sauce though? That was the biggest disappointment. I wouldn’t come here on my own again. There are so many more flavorful options I can find in this area.
