Cute café in the center of Concord. Delicious bagels and cream cheese and strong coffee. Would definitely return next time I’m in the area.

I’m in town visiting and thought I’d find a quick healthy bite and I was shocked at how AMAZING the chicken salad sandwich is here. I wish this place was a chain and in every city. What a heavenly lunch. I’ve never had a chicken salad sandwich close to this great. A must try if you’re in the concord area. I’m going back for lunch tomorrow.

My wife and I have been coming here every Sunday for breakfast for the last couple of years. We have noticed over the last six months or so a steady decline in service. You really have to be sure that the staff are being attentive while you are ordering and I have repeated myself when I’m aware that this is not the case. Standard bagel shop fare in downtown Concord that’s reasonably priced.

Eggs are microwaved and dry, bread wasn’t toasted even though they asked and put it in the toaster. Coffees were all empty(although they weren’t busy) and it didn’t taste fresh.

Bagels are good and service is quick. You may have to repeat your order multiple times in order to ensure that they get it right. I have asked for an untoasted bagel on three different occasions only to be given a toasted bagel. I know it’s busy, but a little better attention to detail will make this place a 5 star.

The line at lunch may be long, but it moves quickly and the food is excellent — fresh salads & sandwiches made in front of you. And you can sit at comfortably spaced tables, or at tables outside when the weather is good. The cost of a very nice lunch is under $ 10 and the café feels friendly and pleasant.

A very affordable little café and coffee shop with quick service. I had a great smoked salmon bagel. Honestly, how can smoked salmon with cream cheese on a bagel be anything short of heavenly? Can’t attest to the other sandwiches as we were only passing through, but I definitely enjoyed my meal. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients lead to some tasty and healthy options. Great seat by the large floor to ceiling window for people watching. Outdoor seating was also available for even greater people watching.

This place rocks. Good service, good coffee, great food & a friendly atmosphere. My #1 concord hangout. Almost the bridge café of concord.

I just picked up a wrap for lunch from this place and they literally put one slice of ham on my ham and cheese sandwich. I can’t believe I had to pay for a lettuce and cheese sandwich.

I went their with my wife and six kids, 2 of which are autistic. The person making our food snapped at me for how i was handling my child who was starting to get unruly. I had to tell the woman to get back to doing her job. I almost walked out. I was so upset that anyone would dare say anything to me when they dont have a clue as to what i have to deal with and i should not feel like i am punished by not being able to go out in public with my children. Ok, so now my review of the food. First off, they microwave the raw eggs as their way of cooking them, which i find to be horrible for how much they charge for their food. I got a roast beef sandwich, and the roast beef itself was stringy and gross, certainly not of any good quality. The lettuce had lots of brown on it. The tomatoes were alright, and the bread was reasonable. My wife could not finish her breakfast sandwich, she said it was gross. My childs parfait was good, so she said and she also liked her muffin. My other child like her turkey sandwich, besides the fact that they did not have american cheese. I gave this place 2 stars only for the fact that they had snapple, other than that i will never go back there.

This is my first time here. The people are super nice and the décor is very up-to-date. The location is right in downtown. I’ve become severely allergic to certain dairy products so I’m always on the lookout for a good replacement for cream cheese. They have a veggie tofu spread that is out of this world! I’m leaving here today with a tub of it and I will DEFINITELY be back! Great place!

Came here for a quick bite to eat about a week ago. I was initially going to Panera Bread but came here because of the good reviews. I dont like giving bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed! The attendants weren’t that pleasant and I felt like I was inconveniencing them when reading the menu trying to decide what I wanted. I’m guessing I was taking to long whereas they were closing in 35 min. I over looked it and figured that they just wanted to clean up and get out of work(which we all like to do). I was completely discussed, turned off, and shocked when I noticed that she put my sandwich In the microwave to cook it! Are you kidding me? They should notify you of this before hand. If I wanted a microwaved sandwich I would of went to McDonald’s or dunkin doughnuts. I don’t even microwave my own food. I cook everything in a toaster oven or on the stove. People should start researching the awful hazards of what microwaves do to your food and your body for that matter. When I took my first and only bite out of the sandwich it was rubbery and only half way cooked. It was definitely not fresh, it tasted like it was sitting out all day. Also, I felt the way she was handling the food was completely unsanitary. You should ALWAYS either wash your hands thoroughly or wear gloves before handling food. I will never come back here and would not recommend this place to anyone until they invest in a toaster oven and educate their employees on sanitation and hygiene. It got 2 stars because of the location, and the organic menu options.

Great interior space with free wifi, fresh & delicious selection of soups, sandwiches & salads. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean and efficient. Only downside is parking downtown but that’s to be expected.

The quality is good but I’m not a big fan of breakfasts that are microwaved. The coffee is decent and must say that the maple brownie was pretty good.

A fun little coffee place right in downtown Concord. Perfect place for that morning bagel etc. Great location, great view of downtown. Decent coffee, good selection of bagels, soups, etc. A good excuse to skip the Dunkies.

Went in for the first time today, very delicious. My co worker got a BLT on a bagel which looked magnificent and I got the Dagwood sandwich on sourdough… very very good sandwich. The meat is flavorful and the tomatoes were fresh. A fine choice for lunch. They fall short of five stars due to the service. It wasn’t terrible but it took quite a while to get two sandwiches, it seemed very disorganized and chaotic behind the line. The ladies working there weren’t terribly hospitable either… but the amazing flavor of the sandwich saves the day.

First things first: this is one of the few places open on Main Street on Sunday mornings. So that means it deserves a special place in all y’all’s hearts. This is one of the locations of a small chain of Works Cafes across New England. The Concord spot has some of the friendliest people. They care about the service and care about getting your food and goods to you quickly. There are two things here I live and breathe for: their Super Chicken sandwich(extra napkins cause that tasty mayo is going everywhere) and their breakfast egg, cheese and spinach on a works bagel. The Works Bagel, my friends, is the best. Those mornings when I’m dragging ass and feeling awful cause of whiskey, these things have saved my life. I give it four stars only cause when I’ve veered away from these items, I’m always«meh» about what I paid for. Also, $ 1.89 for a seltzer water. I almost always pay for it anyway, but damn, just seems a tad steep. But, like I mentioned earlier, the people that work here are just the best. And they have a coffee punch card, which is also very helpful for grown children like myself.

I actually bumped into this place when I was volunteering at the Obama/Clinton rally in Concord during November 2012. Bagel Works was basically the only food store open that morning, and it was also the only one that was also willing enough to let people use their public bathroom. That being said though, despite the fact that there were ten thousand or so people at that rally, Bagel Works did an excellent job serving everyone up as quickly as possible with good quality. The employees were friendly and knew how to direct the lines in a more efficient setup. I grabbed a sandwich and a hot chocolate and it was prime for the chilly Concord morning. Only one bathroom, but the fact that they were the only proprietorship willing to offer public restrooms gives them major props from my part. I haven’t really tried anything else in Concord, so I can’t say it’s the best store out there but this place sure as heck is pretty good. tldr; good place for food and caffeine
