Beautiful January Saturday, my daughter and I were out and I thought we should get a picnic lunch and eat at a park, but the Thai Cottage proved to be fantastically open, with two glass walls, floor to ceiling. She ordered cashew chicken, and I ordered Green Curry, with 3X heat. The entrees were terrific. Unhappily they came with a rather stunted broth/soup, and a cold, greasy spring roll. The price was right though!

Great interior and atmosphere, food is delicious and fast! Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend getting the green curry with a spice level around 3, it’s perfect. Super cheap lunch specials, you can get a bowl of curry with rice, a salad, and some Thai iced tea for less than $ 10. Tucked away in a shopping center across from Lone Star College, can be a little difficult to find going your first time but once you know where it is the location is really good. Get there before 2:30 because they close from 3 to 5 and reopen for dinner at 5 o’clock.

As we walked through the old ancient-like wooden door of the restaurant, this little«cottage» welcomes you with warm décor, stone statues, candles, paintings and a TV for your viewing pleasure while you eat. I was greeted with a smile and cheery welcome. Service throughout our dinner was attentive and prompt. Our table was being cleared throughout our meal which I appreciate. And our left over dinner was packaged for us. So that was a nice treat instead of just handing us boxes. Our dinner was fabulous as expected. Mr. G was here for the Tom Kha Gai soup and as usual it was creamy and dreamy. Even my picky picky eater ate it!!! Miracles happen! I love this cute little restaurant with big windows, great food and fabulous service. We will be back.

I can’t wait to go back! I had the lunch Taste of Ginger with chicken and it was wonderful. You can ask for the level of spice that you like(detailed description of levels of spices in the«Taste Sensation Guide») This time I had the soup but will have the salad next time, saw it at the table next to me, looked bright, fresh and there was plenty of it! The service was very good also. My only«problem» was what to choose!

Came for lunch and ordered off the lunch special menu which had about 15 items on it all under $ 9. It comes with an egg roll and either a soup or a salad. The salad comes with with a choice of two difference dressing. When you add a drink in there you and tip your out the door for about $ 12⁄13. I ordered the shrimp pad thai. Heat level 3 out of 5 and the salad. The salad is very small and the Pad Thai is adequate. I thought the meal was pretty good for the price. I wished I didn’t order heat level three as it was too hot for me. And unless your a hot chili spice person it would probably be to hot for most people. The service was good. The place was well laid out and bright. I’ve been here a few times now and although I’m not a huge Thai fan I keep coming back. If your looking for a lunch spot give it a try.

We came here for lunch and started with a Thai ice tea which was really good. I remembered my work friends got the pad thai and I think I got the green curry with beef and shrimp. It came with soup and egg roll. Both were good and I think I wimped out with the spicy at 1 star. Anyways, it was very fulfilling and ended up having a small dinner after work. The atmosphere was nice and loved the decoration which was in the same theme of the restaurant.

Food was slightly below average Thai. Nothing special. A bit overpriced for lunch with tiny soup and or salad portions.

Thai Cottage is pretty good for a Thai chain. It isn’t anything to write home about, but it’s a solid choice for the less adventurous person.

One of my favorite places in the Woodlands for Thai food. Their lunch menu is AMAZING. Lots of favorites that are super affordable and the portion sizes aren’t small either. Some of my favorite appetizers include the paradise wings, the fish cakes and the spring rolls. You just can’t go wrong. I also enjoy the tom kha soup as well as the pad thai here. I’ve tried some of the curries here also and they are also delicious. Overall, if you’re looking for a great place for a bite to eat? I recommend this place. :D

So-so. As other reviewers suggest, it may be the best Thai place in the woodlands, but I guess next time I’ll just opt for American cuisine cause Thai Cottage is not good. Totally lacking authentic flavors and textures, cannot give any compliments to the chef. The food is only edible, that’s it

A decent choice for thai in The Woodlands. The lunch special was a great deal– comes with salad and a spring roll, the red curry was warm and tasty, peanut dressing with great and pad thai flavors were on point. However my chicken pad thai had tofu in it as well, which i did not enjoy. In addition, i think this place could step it up a notch with the choices of veggie ingredients used– do not use frozen pre chopped carrots and peas in red curry. Where is the basil, red pepper, carrot, zucchini, snow peas etc? In addition, the salad was a bit iceberg lettuce heavy– there could be more cabbage and carrots and even added tomato would be appreciated. the restaurant is clean and well decorated, the staff was efficient and friendly. I would definitely come back and hoping for some tweaks, which could make this place much more authentic and fresh!

Not authentic Thai but if you think of it as flavorful large portions of noodles or rice or whatever you order, it works. Pad see you and Pad kee meow should not look identical but they did at this place. Waiter didn’t check in often enough, I had to go find him a few times.

This is a solid 4 in my book! I’m a big fan of pad Thai and have tried several places, including PF Chang’s and all have been disappointments except this place! It is hands down my go-to place for pad Thai! Super yummy!!!

Tried T.C. Saturday lunch time of Thanksgiving weekend, was very pleasantly surprised. As noted from other reviews; extended menu of options from vegetarian to you chose sliced steak, chicken or shrimp and the spice rating from 1 – 5; 5 = «cry me a river» My Daughter had green curry w/tofu & veggies light spice… Dad enjoyed Pad-Thai Chicken spice rating 3 and a Chang-beer, large portions and well prepared. Wait-staff were nice, seating area and bathroom appeared cleaned… I’ll be back !!

I’ve never eaten at any of the other locations besides this one, so this review is strictly for The Woodlands Thai Cottage. What can you say? They have lunch specials(which is the only time I’m here, for work) that range from $ 7 – 9, which is a decent price for soup/salad, an egg roll, and whatever entrée you order. One time I ordered the curry which was pretty good, and another time I got a garlic chicken and vegetables lunch special with rice. Both were pretty decent and fair priced, but both times had us wait a while for the food to come out. I would come back if people wanted to go(or for a special occasion), but it would never be my #1 choice, especially considering a great variety of choices in the area.

Ahhhh. Thai Cottage is my absolute favorite Thai food restauraunt. Anytime I am craving Thai food, this is my go-to. Their food is always wonderful. It’s neat because they let you choose the level of spice you want. I usually get vegetarian pad thai(comes with tofu, yum!) with 3x spicy. It’s so good! The portion sizes are huge though. If you don’t eat a crazy amount, their plates are better to share! They also have some really good appetizers, including their cheese rolls!(more of a sweet treat). I’ve never had a problem with service here, although their staff isn’t too ‘lively.’ Everyone usually just looks and sounds really sleepy when I go. It also never seems very busy there, so there’s always a place to sit. Don’t forget they close for a short period of time after lunch. I believe it’s from 3 – 5. Also, don’t forget to try their Thai Tea! Thumbs up.

Well the service was quite good. Friendly servers. The review could be 3.5−4 star review but the appetizers and soup came out semi-warm. When I normally order fried tofu it’s incredibly hot. The tofu just retains so much heat. Whereas these apps were just warm. The entrees came out huge. Definitely worth the price. The entrees were actually HOT in terms of temperature. But the star(heat index of spice) system is a little off. I ordered 4 star came out closer to 2.5 or so. But all together the flavors are good. Definitely get the individual flavors from each dish. Which means the sauces don’t over power the taste or texture of the meat veggies and noodles. Smallest of complaints is that my chicken was a little dry but it’s cut in to small pieces so that’s bound to happen during the cooking. But good dish nevertheless. Would definitely return just hope the apps come out hotter next time.

I was never greeted or acknowledged by anyone so I started wondering around the restaurant for about 10 minutes. You would think I was wearing a shirt that said Got Crabs, Homeless or Lost and everyone hid. I was actually wearing a cute white shirt and had received at least a half a dozen compliments earlier while doing errands. It was almost 8:00 pm and needed some takeout. The sign said they’re open till 9:30 pm. Finally found the right menu to order and walked up to the sushi guy who never said anything and placed my order to go. What’s the deal no hostess or waiters around? I had ordered the Thai ribs w/veggies and fried rice. The food was high quality and yummy but was given 5 micro sized ribs only. Also ordered the combo fried rice which came with 1 shrimp and a couple of pieces of chicken and pork. Again the portion was small. I don’t like when a restaurant gives small portions in their take out orders. I really felt cheated! My picture looks bigger because of the angle it was taken but in reality it was more the size of a medium frozen entrée. They were generous with the small container containing the basic fried rice and 1 shrimp which was part of the rib meal. The quality of the food was real good but for this visit everything else was below par.
