The food is hit and miss. I guess it depends who’s cooking. I’ve known people that have been there and raved about it. On my very first visit, it was a BIGMISS. My burger was so greasy my bun disintegrated before it made it to the table. The paper under the bun also fell apart and mixed with the slimy bun. They used Romaine lettuce on the burger which also was wilted and greasy. Our server was very helpful and took the issue to the cook(Scott the owner was cooking that day). Whose response was«what do you want me to do about it?» He did not come to the table, apologize, offer to make it right in any way. The Goose is on Bar Rescue in July and there has been a lot of physical upgrades, but all the upgrades in the world will NOT fix bad food and POOR ownership.

Love, love, love this place. My girlfriend brought me here to listen to some live country music and maybe get a little dancing in. She described it as a dive bar and while the exterior(facing the road can cause one to pass it on by, it would be a mistake if you did. Once you enter the door you will be greeted by a small bar with some high top tables and a juke box, but turn the corner and you have a music stage, dance floor, and some booths along a side wall. Turn left and you’ll find yourself entering a barn like patio with plenty of room to host any size party. The food was good and the music was great. Only wish they had a better selection of local craft beers on tap. The place filled up quickly once the band started to play and stayed busy throughout the night. I heard Waylon Jennings has some history playing here with a local band. Whatever the connection… this place is historical and should not be missed. Dust off your boots, put on your cowboy hat, and stop on by for some good two-stepping. One last note… This is also a biker bar and I was pleasantly surprised to see bikers out two stepping it with the cowboys. Everyone got along just fine. This place has become a favorite whenever I visit Casa Grande.

We visited the Casa Grande Ruins National park and then were looking for a good local place to eat lunch. Several people at the park mentioned The Galloping Goose. We decided to give it a try. You drive all the way through Coolidge and there it is, on the right, at the very edge of town. It is a biker bar and restaurant, pretty dark inside(thank goodness for flashlight apps!) and they are under construction outside(big expansion) which serenaded us with power drills, backup beepers and flashing lights all during our meal but we really didn’t mind. My mother ordered the Southwest Griilled Chicken Salad which had nice crisp fresh tortilla chips around the edge and a yummy salsa based dressing. I had the Green Chili Swiss burger — nice hand-patted burger. The green chili gave it a nice flavor and just mild heat. The optional($.99) sweet potato fries were just right. My husband ordered the The Wrangler burger — two patties, big sandwich on texas toast. Good, satisfying meal with friendly attentive service! When you go to Casa Grande, go to The Galloping Goose!

I went here to meet a friend who lives in Florence and suggested it because it was recently on Bar Rescue. I am not sure of what the place was like before, but, after waiting 20 minutes to have anyone on staff approach us, it should have gotten better… it didn’t. We waited over an hour for two club sandwiches and I had to go to the bar for a refill on my Coke. The«club sandwich» was missing tomato and bacon!!! And had American cheese when it said Swiss?!? Oh boy, this place sucked and it’s a shame. The customers are good people. The guy at the next table who waited 20 minutes for his burger(after all his friends on the same order had been served) offered to sell it to us! The only thing this place has going is the people who go there.

Best burgers in Coolidge. They also serve a very good french dip that was very good with the fries. Definitely coming back.

This is one of those small town hole-in-the-wall rustic biker bar and redneck places that are so fun to visit. I guess they mostly serve beer, because I asked for a Margarita and the bartender said she didn’t know how to make one … LOL. I had a hamburger and it was excellent, as were the french fries. I also had an order of cole slaw and it was some of the best I have tried — definitely home made. There is also a pool table and lots of seating inside and out.

Went with a group for lunch. One of the best hamburgers I have ever had. I have been looking for a laid back place to grab some beer and food and I found heaven.

I can honestly say I love this place. Just a good ol’ small town bar n’ grill. Everyone is extremely friendly and relaxed. They’re just there for a good time. The live music is great and the staff is wonderful. The food is TASTY as all get out, too. You should definitely stop in on a Saturday night and see what it’s all about. I’ll keep goin’ back as long as possible!

The Goose, as the locals call it is a fun place to grab some food and a drink. It is as much a landmark as Tag’s is for Coolidge. I’ve been here a few times to meet friends and always found the food tasty and service good. It might not look like much from the outside, but it is really worth the stop(particularly, if Tag’s parking lot looks full)!!! LOL
