Super awesome experience!
I called 10 minutes after they closed. The owner answered. Super nice guy. He still took my special order even though they were closed. He said my pies would be ready the next day by noon.
He allowed me to custom order a strawberry blond pie. No up charge! Strawberry ice cream, Strawberries, Caramel and whip cream in a graham cracker crust. How could you go wrong! This was my husbands favorite.
I also ordered a pumpkin ice cream pie. None of the other cold stones have pumpkin ice cream yet! The other stores won’t have it for a couple more weeks. It was amazing. The flavor of pumpkin was like eating a pumpkin pie but creamier and dreamier. Helped make me feel better about this changing weather.
The pies are a super great deal. They are about $ 12 and they are 8 good servings.
So if you do the math, it’s about $ 1.50 per person.
Trust me order a pie! You will be addicted!

Cold Stone Creamery is just okay…
They’re better than Dairy Queen but not as good as the primo places in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
I’ve been there twice, once on my own and once I dragged along the wife and daughter to get a female take. All three of us (including the 11 year old) were somewhat underwhelmed.
I’m not sure of the concept of serving ice cream at a lower temp to make is easy for mixing additional ingredients. Seems to be okay for a cup, not so great for a cone. Flavors were average.
As a side note, each time we were there, there was a different teenager behind the counter… with all the energy and personality of a wet dish rag. They should find better people to represent their company behind the counter.

Kick ass ice cream goodness!

I love me some ice cream… What’s that??? I can add cake, candy and frosting to my ice cream??? Sign me up!!!
I always eat too much here and regret my portion selection, but it’s a lesson I will gladly refuse to learn.
