Marta’s Tailor Shop

On the rare occasions we need any tailoring done, Marta’s is where we go. They are reasonably-​priced, the work is good, and they finish when they say they’ll be done. Not much else to say, except that you would never find them without word of mouth, and their continued survival in the least-​popular mall in America is a testament to. .. something.

I’ve only had great experiences at Marta’s Tailor Shop. I recently got a bridesmaids dress taken in. I was there for all of 10 minutes to have her pin the dress and had the dress back in a week. The dress was perfect and the price was very VERY reasonable. I plan to take a couple other items to her for alterations. I highly recommend Marta’s Tailor Shop!

I have been a customer of Marta’s for years. She is an amazing tailor! She always seems to understand that I don’t have three weeks to wait for an item to be altered. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the turn-​around is always quick and the customer service is FABULOUS!

Ok so heres the scenario… my cousin is getting married this saturday ⁰⁷⁄₁₇ and I somehow just received my dress from Davids Bridal on Thursday ⁰⁷⁄₀₈. My dress is way to big and needs to be taken in about an inch and a half… plus it needs to be hemmed about 2 inches… when I talked to Davids to see if they could get it done… they said that they maybe could get it done but not 100% guarentee, never a good response for a wedding.
Now here is where in classical storytale I would have a prince riding in on a huge white horse to heroic music to save me the damsel in distress… instead I have a 5 foot little lady in a small clothing shop with dresses, pins, and sewing machines surrounding her. Although it may not sound as glamourous as a prince on a horse… Marta is a much better hero.
I called her on Thursday to explain my dilema and set an appointment. Friday at 4pm I walked into her shop where I tried on my dress and stepped out of the fitting room. 15 minutes later I had the dress pinned where it needed to be taken in, bra cups inserted where they needed to be sewn in, and the hem marked where it was going to be taken up. It was like my fairy godmother had came in with a sweep of her saftey pin and a brush of her hem marker, I was all set to go to the ball (in this case wedding) The beauty of it all was Marta said she will have the dress done by this Wednesday. And with the total only being 60 bucks there is absolutely nothing bettter I could ask for.
Martas is the place to go if you are looking for your clothes to be rescued by a true fashion hero! Anything I need to be hemmed or fixed is now going to be going to her capable hands :)
