This is one of the best steak houses in the twin cities and is also one of the best priced. It is so popular there is always a wait but the wait is worth it!

First time there, got there around 1:30 got seated right away our waiter was super nice as was all the people there, a little bit of a wait for the food but not bad my sirloin steak was cooked spot on and very tender and juicy as was my husbands ribeye liked the cinnamon butter, the only thing I can say it is noisy but with all the people it to be expected, will be going back soon and the prices were right on.

Their food is always delicious. Wait staff is always super friendly. Have never left hungry or dissatisfied. The only downside of this place is it’s always busy and you have to wait to be seated but you can’t fault an awesome restaurant for being busy. Their steaks are juicy and seasoned well, salads with homemade dressing are too notch, and their warm buns with cinnamon butter are to die for. Also recommend their chicken sandwich.

We gather a group about once a month to enjoy TX roadhouse. Service is slow if it’s busy(it’s usually busy), but they are damn good at their jobs. Excluding one visit(that I can recall) the servers have been attentive, personable, and accurate. This is the best steak for the price point, north of the cities. I have rarely been disappointed in my sirloin, and the time I was, it was promptly corrected. I value that! Here’s what I get, every time. 6 oz sirloin: medium Sautéed onions on top Ceasar salad(big for the price, always fresh, never rusty lettuce!) Steak Fries(I’m sure it’s just salt and pepper, but holy cow these are so good) Sometimes I add ribs(the combo platter) if I’m feeling ambitious and ravenous. I like these ribs, but I honestly like Clives RH ribs better. Blossoming Onion MOVEOVEROUTBACK. your onion has been out blossomed. Way better, way less expensive. The dipping sauce that is served with it is yum. Ask for two right away. Always thrilled, always leave stuffed. The service manager is wonderful. I don’t know her name, but she has been there every random night we are. She touches tables, interacts, and is super personable. Plus she has a smile that makes anyone feel like a million bucks. I hope she interacts with staff as well as she does guests, I’m madly impressed by her.

My family and I eat her about once a month. We have never had a bad experience. The food and staff is always 100%. My mom and I order the ribeye with sautéed onions & mushrooms. They have the BEST mushrooms I’ve ever had in my life. My older sister gets the steak & shrimp. She absolutely craves it! She would eat there every week if she could. This place gets busy, so definitely do the call ahead seating.

Had a great experience here. We called while we were on our way so we only ended up having to wait about 10 minutes. OUR Waiter WAS Great AND Very ATTENTIVE. The food was good. It is a louder atmosphere so if your looking for quiet or romantic this isn’t the place. Great prices I think. 3 adults and one kid ate for about 80 bucks. You will love the bread plain or with the butter! Tip. Do call ahead seating they are always packed!

Great service and awesome prices! Between the bread & butter and generous portions this place can’t be beat. Recommend calling ahead on the weekends so you don’t have to wait as long.

How does one explain the love? The bread, steaks, ribs, dancing, drinks, everything. I love TR because of their salad, yes you can love a salad. Typically, I order the sirloin with house salad and a baked potato and it always makes me so happy, but I think the thing I have become addicted to is the TR steak sauce. I usually get a tiny thing to go and save it for when I make meat later. What is the best part is the attention to detail in the service. They people there really do try to do a good job. I appreciate people who do their job well and TR employees are 100.

As usual, this place never fails. Decided to try the lunch hour so we could avoid the 70+ minute wait. We got right in! I ordered the 8oz sirloin cooked medium with grilled onions. The steak was absolutely perfect! The only complaint was to not have AS many grilled onions, my steak was hidden under a big pile of them. As for sides I ordered a Cesar salad and steak fries. The Cesar salad came out right away on a nice cold plate, which I love when restaurants plate sales on cold plates. We never had to ask for more of those heavenly sweet rolls with the whipped honey butter. The steak was bigger than I thought. The one thing I wish I could change is Pepsi products, unfortunately they have Coke products. Will continue to go back, if you do go, use the call ahead line! They don’t take reservations. If it’s a weekend is almost call 1 – 2 hours in advance before dinner time. It’s gets packed and the wait gets long although they will offer drinks while you wait.

Who doesn’t love Texas Roadhouse? Vegetarians maybe? People watching their sodium intake? People with peanut allergies? I like it — I ALWAYS get the catfish because it’s delish. Crispy cornmeal coating and delish remoulade. I love that the salad has eggs/cheese on it. The buns are to die for. We’ve had the fried pickles and the cactus blossom(fried onion blossom) and they were both really greasy and the pickles were SOSALTY. Almost inedible. The singing/dancing is moderately annoying, but as long as you’re not in the center aisle you can mostly ignore it.

This restaurant is worth the hour-long drive for me! If you are looking for a fun atmosphere and good service with great food, then this is the place for you! The steaks are awesome and not priced through the roof! The drinks are good. All of the staff from the hosts to the bartenders are friendly and attentive. The fresh bread they bring you is good, it comes with a cinnamon butter, I will ask to see if they have a honey butter next time because I like that a bit better. By the hostess stand, there are steaks stacked up so you can see the examples of steaks that you may order. The smell from the parking lot is great too. If I lived closer, I would just do a drive-by to just get a whiff. They servers will do a fun line dance to certain songs that come up that are entertaining and fun. There is even fun light-hearted décor to make you feel comfortable. See my photos. There is an armadillo on it’s back drinking a bottle of beer! What a fun place! I have been here more that the 2 times that Unilocal has me down for this place and I haven’t ever been disappointed. Warning: They are very popular so they do get very busy and there is usually a wait for prime time seating. They DONOT take reservations but they DO have call ahead seating, so call ahead and get on the waiting list if you are going during prime time. I have to drive over an hour to get here so I always aim for the between peak times. We seem to get in in an OK time but when leave, the lobby is jam-packed with hungry faces! They need to open one of these in the south metro somewhere and save me some gas! Go get some goodness here! Bring me back some left overs!

Texas Roashouse is one my favorite places to eat at. Why is Texas Roashouse awesome? — The bread. Eat as much as you want, the butter is amazing! — Drinks. The Sangria Margarita is the bomb, for something non-alcoholic try the flavored lemonade. — The food. If it be the prime rib to country fried chicken to anything in between. I have never been disappointed. — Sides. Most meals come with sides already included. I usually stick with a house salad and loaded potatoes both are outstanding. Salad usually arrives pretty quick after ordering. — Service. You can eat from the second you walk in the door. Peanuts while your waiting, bread before your server even says hi and quick service on food there is no waiting to eat. They always have plenty of staff working regardless of how busy it is. All around it’s an awesome place to eat. Do keep in mind the place is closed during the week and is only open for dinner. Dinner rush can get nuts especially in the Summer season on a weekend expect it to be an absolute zoo during dinner time. Service is usually great even when it gets busy thanks to proper staffing. If you rather would go when it’s not so obnoxious, plan on going earlier before 5 at the latest. If you do want to go during the madness, make sure to call ahead. Wait times even when the place is full with a call ahead usually aren’t that bad as long as you plan your visit. There is a reason the place is absolutely packed for dinner week in and week out. Give Texas Roadhouse a try!

One word describes this place. Woohoo! I came here on a Thursday night with my girlfriend. We decided to check this place out cause it was near the AMC Coon Rapids, which has bomb reclining seats! We came here around 8pm on a Thursday night and this place was still poppin’! Not super busy, but busy enough. We took forever to decide on what to get! There was too much I wanted to try. After placing our orders, it came with some delicious complimentary bread with some amazing sweet butter. It was really really good, especially when its hot. I ordered the Rib eye steak with half rack of baby back ribs and my girlfriend got the filet mignot. It also comes with 2 sides; which I got mashed potatoes and fries. The sides were ok, nothing special, but not terrible. I ordered my steak rare, but came practically well done. I was a little disappointed. After eating ¼ of it, I decided to tell the waitress about it and they were SUPER nice about it. They apologized instantly, and offered to replace my steak! The manager came by and apologized and brought me a new rib eye steak! I ordered like a 10 ounce one and she came back with one that’s like double the size, with a thicker cut. It was bomb. It was cooked rare, just how I like it. The service was exceptional! The steak was so juicy with blood, each bite released a gush of blood. yum yum yum. So tender and so good. I ribs I got, were also very good. I love baby back ribs. Overall, this place is bomb. Great food with very competitive prices. The service is hands down, top notch. I would come here again. One of my favs in Minnesota.

Great family restaurant for steak at a decent price. I wouldnt say the steaks are the best in the area but for the price ita worth it. A plus is the fried cat fish which they let you get as a side. Steak and cat fish, what a great combo! The atmosphere is very busy with lots of people and the servers are all pretty good.

My boyfriend & I came here on a whim yesterday and we were blown away with how great this place was. It was the coldest night since this 2015 «winter» season started and this place was packed on a Thursday night. that has to mean something good. We were seated immediately and the host was extremely friendly, asked us if we had been there before & offered us some meal suggestions. She brought us some dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. If there was something like an orgasm in the form of food, this was it. It was AMAZING. The buns are buttered up and the cinnamon butter is light and sweet. The cinnamon makes it so extremely delightful, I have never tasted better butter in my life. I ordered the Dallas filet w/sauteed mushrooms & onions along with two sides of mash potatoes & buttered corn. I don’t go to steak houses that often, but I have to admit that this was the best steak I have ever had in my life(maybe I’m inexperienced, but this was some good stuff). Cooked to order, tender, juicy & melted in my mouth. The onions and mushrooms were plentiful and added a great touch to the dish. I would 100% recommend this dish. I wasn’t too impressed with the sides though. The mashed potatoes were just regular mashed potatoes, not seasoned with anything special and the corn was clearly from a can, though it was good, just nothing out of the ordinary. Regardless, the buns & my steak was enough to win my heart over. Not to mention, the service was phenomenal. Our waitress was super friendly and the manager even made an appearance, asking us if we were pleased with our food & our waitress. This is, hands down, my new favorite steak house. We’ll definitely be returning!

This place is always so packed, even on a Tuesday night! You can literally see all of the servers scrambling to get things done! Our server actually greeted us with how she was going to try to get our orders fast. So we ordered fast. To start off, you always get a basket of their warm bread-which is really good with their cinnamon butter, and a bucket of peanuts to start off with. The nice thing about these, is that they’re unlimited. So have at it. I really like how the manager is constantly going around to see if everything is OK or if she can get you anything. She’s also got a very attentive eye, asking if you need me bread or a refill. I ordered the bone-in ribeye, with portabella mushrooms, and a loaded sweet potato and buttered corn on the side. Let me just start off by saying, that rib eye was HUGE. I was only able to finish a third of it. It was packed with mushrooms on top and cooked to perfection. The corn wasn’t that much of a big deal, it came from a can, didn’t really care for it. The sweet potato though, hit my sweet tooth. This is my favorite thing to get here, it tastes a little bit like heaven. Granted, you can make it yourself at home easily but when someone saves you that work, it’s even better. At the end of our meal, our server asked us to walk up front to pay. Now, I was a little confused on this part. I can’t tell if it’s always been like this or if it was just this one time. The interior is all wood, there’s a baby cactus plant on every ledge you see. I should recommend this place, but keep in mind, that they’re really busy!

I came here with my boyfriend and his little sister around lunch time. My boyfriend actually enjoys this place, so I was quite excited try it since I was craving a juicy steak. After being greeted by the hostess, we were seated away immediately and given hot steamy buns with their delicious cinnamon butter. The servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. So, I definitely give their service a 5⁄5. To start off, we ordered the blooming onion. It was good, but nothing special. The sauce had too much horseradish in it. However, I give them props for frying it correctly since the batter did not separate from each onion piece. Definitely got sick of the flavor since there was so much of it. I would recommend to try it, but I most likely wouldn’t order it again. 3⁄5 We got beef tips with a side of mash and chili. The mash was good, and the chili was okay. Nothing spectacular. Usually, my boyfriend LOVES the beef tips. However, it was SOOOOOOSALTY. I would try it again just to see if it was simply just a bad day. 2⁄5 The 20oz ribeye was seriously so good. I was actually really impressed that it was juicy and still very tender. The burnt edges are my favorite to eat, and I would definitely order it again! 5⁄5

Steak for lunch? Why not. My first TR experience was in WI, several years ago. I remember eating a lot of peanuts and throwing it on the floor, then finding shells all over myself when I got home. When we happened upon this one in Coon Rapids I knew I was heading in, time to go make a mess. Plus, as we were driving by the radio was playing«Roadhouse Blues,» by The Doors. It was calling us. This place is large. Lots of wood, just as I expected. We were seated quickly. Our server, Casey, brought us water and warm buns dunked in butter, AND with a creamy cinnamon butter. Only one for me. Good, but a bit too rich. After pondering over the menu for bit, I went with the smokehouse burger with steak fries. It was giant, juicy, cooked perfectly to medium, with mushrooms, swiss, and bbq sauce. Reasonably priced at $ 9.89, or something in that range. No complaints here. My hands were sticky, and so was my face. Our server was great, he was extremely enthusiastic. His face must hurt from smiling so much. Someone at my table commented that he could turn it down a notch. Not me, I’d rather my server be at a level 10 all the time than a sourpuss. We also had two people, probably managers, come by and ask how things were. Pretty good experience. I wouldn’t go out of my way to Coon Rapids to come here, but if I were in the area again it’d be my first choice.
