After being so completely disappointed with the lack of customer service, I was pleasantly surprised to hear from Larry. The corporate marketing director for Vicky Bakery. He went out of his way to contact me and listened to all of my concerns. He not only offered to make things right, he is personally meeting with me at the store to make sure it does. It is nice to see that some companies do still care about customer service. Kudos to you Vicky Bakery for hiring someone who really cares. You have once again, regained my business. Thank you Larry.

Despite the bad reviews, I think this is a great little place. Pastries are phenomenal, very affordable, a couple of them are not the greatest, but you can’t be great at EVERYTHING. Service is great, but they do get really busy early in the morning and at lunch time. Someone said there’s a $ 5 min, and they are correct, $ 5 minimum if you pay with a card. And whether you are Hispanic or not, you get the same service. And again, for the money you pay, it is totally worth whatever line or wait… Try the bread pudding, it will make your day(and review) better.

Had a little extra time in the morning cute with a lot of options to eat however if you’re not a local or Spanish you’re not very welcomed. And making to pastry purchase and a coffee the total was under five dollars, girl behind the counter said five dollar minimum which is interesting because there was no signs posted all other Hispanic people there every month on your mortgage did not have that rule. I had to make an extra cookie purchase that I just gave to a local office I actually felt singled out and not welcome. I probably won’t be back

Hands down the WORSTBAKERYEVERRRR! For starters, I walked in to an empty bakery and I still took them almost 20 minutes to box 5, yes 5 things. It was early. Just an hour or two after opening and I thought I’d get fresh pastries. NOT. The pastries were hard, cold, and stale. Obviously from the day before. The meat in the croquetas was orange! It hardly tastes like ham. Upon closer inspection I could see that the mix a ton of breading into the ham so they can make more without spending much money. Seriously appalled

I took a chance by coming here on a Sunday afternoon. First off, they close 3 hours earlier than a typical business day and I got there about an hour and thirty minutes before closing time. Therefore, I wasn’t too shocked to see most of the savory items were gone. There were no more empanadas, and a few of the other pastries. My brother and I got ham croquettes, papas rellenas, a mini ham and cheese sandwich, a guava pastry, a dulce de leche cake pop, and tres leches in a parfait cup. Cons: The pastries were all lukewarm. Also, we had concerns over the freshness of the items. Pros: We got all of the items for just $ 13.10! And the mini ham and cheese sandwich blew me away. It was the highlight for me while the guava pastry was the highlight for my brother. Consensus: Its a bit far from me, but the directions were easy. Due to the attractiveness of the display cases, and cleanliness of the establishment, I’ll be back with a friend. But I’ll make sure to go early.

Placed order in advance but it still wasn’t ready when I ordered it for. Plus the Cuban sandwiches were horrible. Croquettes were great as usual. So order pastelitos croquettes and coffee but stay away from the sandwiches.

So far I’m happy. Ordered a cake and some pastries for a party at work and I got me some pastelitos too. All I could think was, finally a reason to drive all the way up from Hollywood to cooper city. Let’s see how my cake turn :)

Poor customer service(been ignored for a bit or skipped in line on at least two occasions), but they’re fast and the line moves quickly at least. I’m able to look past service if the product is worth it. Vicky’s has the best pastelitos. Hands down. I’ve had ones brought to me from other locations, and the guava cheese and guava are my favourites. The coffee is really good as well. Skip the cheesecake, it was some of the worst I’ve had. Overly sweet, a really odd texture, and the gloopy«fruit» on top was like jello. It was really weird. The pastries are superrrr cheap, I got 6 pastelitos and a slice of cheesecake for less than $ 5.

I’m a little obsessed with this place, probably because I moved away from South Florida a few years ago and whenever I go home, I get their café con leche and pastries. Cortadito and café con leche are perfect. Cheese and guava pastries are also perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever had a negative experience other than having to wait a while for my order, but it’s definitely because they are PACKED :) Which is a good sign :)

Love this place so glad to know there’s one near me! Reminds me of all my childhood birthdays! And family gatherings! They have all the Cuban pastries you can think of and them some! Their prices are great also! Came to Vicky bakery a Thursday morning had four people in front of me I wasn’t in a rush but they do take a little long. I don’t think this is the place to grab breakfast if your in a rush. They were pretty busy and customers kept walking in. Theirs limited seating to maybe eight people max. So also don’t plan on eating here since you might not know if you can take a seat.

I really enjoy this place, I went yesterday and came back for more today. Great selection and cheap prices. Their colada and café con leche is awesome. We got SO much for $ 18; 4 cheese pastries, tiramisu, brownie, tres leches, Napoleon, chocolate mouse, canollis and 2 coffees! Service was really slow so I took a star off, but I’ll be returning for sure!

Please hire/train English speakers so they can understand my order over the phone, at the store I have to point to what i want. New selections are badly needed. All the desserts have been the same over the last 5 years. Also stop with the price increase.

Typical Cuban pastry shop. The pastries and breakfast sandwiches are tasty. The staff there are very nice. There’s always someone there to strike up a conversation with while drinking a colada– that’s Cuban coffee– but don’t mention politics or the«F» word; Fidel. This place brings back memories of my childhood in Hialeah. I highly recommend this place but brush up on your Spanish.

This place is disgusting. Stay away. Just got a cake from here for my 30th birthday and there is MOLD on it under the icing. It tasted old and funny and it was because there is mold on it! My pregnant wife who is on bed rest also ate it. Couldn’t be more furious and disgusted with this place. Thought it was a good place but stay far far far away!!!

Ordered a cake for a baby shower and showed a pic from the web of what the wife wanted. Vicky’s bakery matched the picture and did a fantastic job with the cake. Not only did it look great, but the taste was awesome. We ordered a rum cake with fondant and the cake was moist and fresh. It was my first time ordering a specialty cake and it will not be the last. Price wise, they were very reasonable compared to the three bakeries I visited.

There is no doubt that if you like Cuban pastries, that you will definitely be in heaven when you try some pastelitos from Vicky’s. There are several flavors to choose from, cheese, cheese and guava, guava, meat, potato, etc. I brought them home for a special occasion and they were a hit! Very sweet and delicious. The problem with this location is not the delicious pastries. I came to Vicky’s looking for something to serve special guests. I have never been to the store, and I was excited!(I should have read the reviews to know that to expect). When I walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed because they have a HUGE glass case of specially designed cakes– so I wasn’t sure if they sold items that were not as a part of a large order– or a cake. No one acknowledged my existence. There were two young girls working behind the counter, one was on the phone and the other was assisting a customer. Neither of them said that they would be able to assist me in a minute. Neither one even looked up from what they were doing at all. Two men walked in after me, not together. When the girl on the phone was done, she assisted one of the men. Yes, one of the men that walked in after me. As soon as the other girl was done with her customer, she looked up, and asked me if she could assist me. The only thing she said to me at all was, «Would you like anything else?» She was not friendly, not personable, did not tell me anything about the pastries when I clearly had never been there before(I asked if they accept credit cards). I gave three stars because the pastries were totally worth the sub-par service– and I will probably go again.

I cannot believe it took me so long to find this gem of a bakery so close to my neighborhood. It is a slice of Havana right in Cooper city! I went with my son to buy birthday cupcakes. She was not thrilled with the cupcakes but we found a beautiful birthday cake with some help from the server. She was so helpful and patient. We ended up getting a decorated cake(despicable me) For my nine year old son. They did it so quickly! They did not moan about having no time to do it either. The cake was delicious! Although I like cake from Publix, I really could never go there again for a decorated cake after this experience. If you see some of the decorated cakes there, they are amazing and so reasonable. The Cuban pastries look amazing. They also have sandwiches and Cuban coffee. I cannot wait to go in and try some more items, especially the coffee!
