We had horrible and slow service and they overcooked my hamburger. I would not recommended the restaurant, especially since everything is overpriced due to it being in a tourist town.

Pretty basic fare but all good on the Main Street in Cooperstown. Be careful on Sunday breakfast. There is a cut off at 10:30 which means you cannot order either breakfast or lunch between 10:30. Amazing but true. Now, all that said, the food is quite good. There is a nice small bar, TVs, a decent alcohol selection and good offerings for the kids.

We went for breakfast, but missed it. We stayed, had a very friendly waitress and great food! Reasonably priced, great café, and my 2 sons loved their kids meal choices.

Great burger and fantastic Reuben! Definitely taking advantage of their location price-wise, but that’s to be expected. Food was yummy enough to make us forget that part.

Basically the same food you’d get at a Denny’s coming off the same Sysco delivery truck — in an old bar setting.

Great food and even better service! I had the clam chowder and cheeseburger. Both were delicious. The try standout here is the service. I sat at the bar on a quiet Friday afternoon and had the pleasure of sharing stories with Jerri while enjoying my meal. Thank you for taking the time, the next time I am in Cooperstown I will definitely be back.

Love their homemade veggie burger. Very generous portions and so fresh! Spinach salad was also excellent! Staff has been helpful and pleasant. Dined with them only at lunchtime but the bar seems like it would be fun!

We stopped here for lunch before heading to the hall of fame. We were there off season, so it wasn’t very crowded. The food was good. Really great macaroni salad. My steak sandwich was cooked well but the steak itself wasn’t the greatest of qualities.

Solid little diner. Wide variety. Great for quick lunch or dinner. Seems to be a popular spot in town. Good for whole family.

All kinds of delicious salads and sandwiches! My favorite was the lobster sandwich, which they only had on the menu for a limited time, but the crab cake sandwich is just as good! The macaroni salad is my favorite side of theirs, and the children’s grilled cheese is also a go-to if I’m not too hungry! Service is always fast and friendly.

Visited here during Baseball HOF induction weekend. Sat at the bar, which has a nice beer selection. My buddy and I ordered two meals to split… the lobster roll and a chicken sandwich. The lobster roll was on the small side, but made nicely so as to bring out the flavor of the lobster. The bun was soft and chewy. The chicken sandwich was fried and topped with bacon and BBQ sauce, a nice combo. Came with fries which weer just average. All in all a decent meal, but a bit pricey for what it was.

We came for lunch on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. The waitstaff is friendly, the food is awesome, and I loved the small town atmosphere. You should definitely stop by if you’re in Cooperstown!!!

I really enjoyed my meal at Doubleday. I was in Cooperstown for a work trip and my coworker and I settled on this place for lunch. I ordered New England clam chowder as an app. It was REALLY good– creamy with large chunks of clams and potatoes. It was also served with Ritz crackers, which is quite different from the oyster crackers clam chowder is usually served with. I really enjoyed this, the buttery flavor went great with the soup. For my meal I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheddar on it. I was expecting grilled chicken and it was breaded and it was very good. My coworker had a pulled pork sandwich and she said that was really good also. I found the service to be friendly and it didn’t take very long for the food to come out, especially considering that place was pretty packed. Prices were fair. I would definitely recommend!

I like the size and the décor, but to NOT know how to make a margarita then to charge $ 9 for it after looking up the recipe and failing at it? Not good. This is more about cheap eats and beer. I wouldn’t go back, but I could see where locals would like it who don’t really want a mixed drink at all. The young bartender was exceptionally friendly and this pushed it to an extra star.

Food really good. Great bar and selection of beer. Gluten free options. Natural local beef. Service very good. T-shirts are even a good souvenir«A drinking town with a baseball problem».

My rating is for the delicious local beef, perfectly cooked as requested, on the burger. We stopped in quickly before a visit to the Hall of Fame and were happy with service and our choices. My kid got applesauce, one of the choices with a burger; I was delighted applesauce was offered and that he chose it vs fries. My choice was cole slaw which was excellent. Doubleday Café is only a block from the HoF so once you’ve found legal parking, you don’t have to relocate between the museum visit and your meal. All in all an excellent choice.

Good food, good local beer selection and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. I first experienced Doubleday during the über-busy summer. I enjoyed it then even in spite of all the grumpy drunk dads and spazzed out adolescents running around. Since experiencing Doubleday during the winter, it’s fast becoming one of my favorite spots in Cooperstown to enjoy a couple beers and a bite. The food is consistently good. Think above-average pub grub with decent vegetarian options. Doubleday is where I first tried the Old Slugger pale ale from Cooperstown Brewing Co. — which has since become my favorite local beer(sorry, Ommegang is great and all, but Belgiany beers just aren’t my first preference). Grab a seat at the bar, a bowl of(free) popcorn and a pint and you’re on your way to a relaxing evening chatting with the staff and other patrons. You’ll have a heckuva good time.

What a great place to be. Super casual, everybody knows everybody. Our waitress, Michele was amazing. We were freezing and she told us where to buy hats and scarves in town. She was so friendly and sweet. Simple food yet well executed in deliciousness. We came back again for breakfast.
