Not a very busy night. Our waitress well let’s see, she is standing in the same spot while the other waitresses have come and gone from they’re tables around us 3 or 4 times. She hasn’t even looked up from whatever she is doing which doesn’t look very productive behind the counter. At first I was thinking this was gonna be different than other places in Florida. But honestly every place in this state seems to be a joke. If I could honestly do a quarter of a star I would. #Yelp can you fix this.

Poor Management-No Management: ordered bfast to go a few minutes ago 5÷11÷16 @ 6:24am. Employee who took the call couldn’t take or process my order because«computers are down and unable to take order T the chef»…REALLY? Typical example of someone who can’t act or think outside their own little box. When asked to speak to manager, was told there was no one from management working. WOW! What happened to taking orders down on paper and walking them to the kitchen? Where is the manager? Obviously they don’t have«Plan B» in place. Guess if the computers are down all day, they won’t sell anything or serve anyone ALLDAY! UNBELIEVABLE!

If you’re going to eat here make sure you clear your schedule, and bring the following items: —(1) Sweater —(1) Good Book —(Enough) of whatever you would like to drink while you’re here It’s freezing, it takes an hour for one burger to come out, and the unenthusiastic waitress cant be bothered to get you a refill. Also the hamburger meat should be a good option for those without teeth as its mushy and falls apart in your mouth like a breakfast biscuit from McDonalds. .01÷10 — Wouldn’t dine again

Less than average even for a Denny’s. Service was fine but problems with the meal cancelled all that out… close to the university of Miami campus…

I can’t believe how unprofessional the staff were. I will never be back. This is the kind of place you can fully expect to get your food spit on, for asking for more syrup. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable! Seriously don’t even bother it’s not even worth the money.

Denny’s has been around for long enough that most people should know what to expect from this place. It’s classic American food that is a few bucks cheaper. Our waitress was very pleasant and responsive. The food is just ok and the basis for the 3 star rating. At this point, I go to Denny’s for a nice dose of nostalgia and relatively cheap comfort food. I don’t expect to be wowed, but I also had no negative experiences like some of the other reviewers. Oh, and remember to pay on the way out and not at the table.

Horrible! My friends and I went for a late meal at 3AM. We were all sober, if you need to know. The waitress was the rudest person I have ever. We asked for water without ice before ordering our main course and she replied«Really?» with a resting b-word face. Once she got the water she basically slid them across the table. When we ordered our main course, she had a terrible look on her face like she wanted to get out of the place. I understand that it’s 3AM but it is a 24hrs restaurant and it’s her choice to work there. Again she got our food and basically left them stacked at the end of the table without any cutlery. My friends and I really didn’t care because it was late. Finally we asked to split the order. And the waitress was again showing horrible attitude and was speaking in a condescending manner. She left us waiting at the counter for nearly 5 minutes until the manager came out for us to pay the bill. Immediately the waitress reappeared and took over the register and took our credit cards ask asked us if we would like to leave a tip. I left 50 cents because I felt that’s what she deserved. Never going there again!

We came here last night at around 3 am after Black Friday shopping. Our party was 6 people. After waiting for about 10 min the waitress decides to come over. I was shocked when she came. She walked over to us, pen and notepad in hand and stood behind me silently. Didn’t bother to introduce herself, say she was our waitress or anything. Just stood there, looking at us. I didn’t even notice she was there until my mom started ordering right off the bat. My dad and my husband changed their minds about what they wanted and she was incredibly upset about that as she scribbled on her notepad. Our drinks took forever to come, that is the simplest thing ever. I don’t judge when the food takes long but all she had to do was fill cups and bring them. Ok so the drinks come in, after like 25 min and let me add-this place was completely empty so I have no idea what the waitress occupied her time with. Then we wait about an hour for our food which came all wrong. My mom had ordered a side of hash browns which she was still waiting on. Once we finally got our food we ate. My moms hashbrowns never came. She didn’t at all pass by to check how we were. I actually don’t think she said more than two words to us. Then when she comes my mom said«please remove the hashbrowns from my check as they never came» to which she didn’t even so much as apologize or pretend she cared. She just kind of said ok and walked off to get our checks. She was the one who rang us up at the register and asked how much we would tip(finally a full sentence out of her) we said a dollar and proceeded to complain about the service to which she put the nastiest face on and simply swiped our card. We continued talking about how Nasty she treated us with her disgusting attitude. To the manager if you care– please take a look at your staff. This is a Denny’s. They should be used to working late night shifts. And they should just be nice to people that’s her job. We would’ve tipped her extra extra well if she was nice just because she was working Black Friday. Never coming here again and I will tell my friends the same. We didn’t feel welcome at all.

I can’t believe I’m reviewing Denny’s. I’ve used this place a number of times. The food is solid, as far as I can tell. But they really need to work on the atmosphere. The décor is sort of yellow. It’s like being inside an elderly person who has jaundice. And speaking of elderly, I think that’s their target demographic, because the place is full of them, and they keep the air conditioning set to «bake swollen joints» level. No disrespect to the aged. We should appreciate them and treat them well. But this place is depressing. They need to get rid of the yellow tones, turn the air conditioning down to 75, tell the employees to stand up straight, and hire a team to clean the funk out of the place. All that said, when you want breakfast at 7 p.m. in a quiet restaurant, this is the place. The employees are polite.

Stopped here at just before midnight on a recent Friday night. We were seated right away, the server was there right away physically, but she was either beyond exhausted, not at all bright, or strung out on something, because she quite literally asked us for our orders 3 times, and when we’d ask for additional items after our meals were delivered(my friend asked for gravy for his mashed potatoes, for instance), our server seemed to be utterly confused and we had to explain a few times just to get her to fulfill simple requests. My friend had a club sandwich and a lemonade, I ordered the French slam. We split the check and it came to $ 15 and change each before gratuity.

Where to go in the middle of the night when you are super hungry? Denny’s comes to mind, but this time the experience was unbelievably bad! It took 53 minutes for the food to arrive! And the salmon was by far the worst I have ever tasted in a restaurant. Microwaved, overcooked and tasteless even on the second attempt. The sides, broccoli and mashed potatoes, were microwaved and overcooked as well and tasted weird. The greens on the salad were rotten. The pancakes that my friend ordered were undercooked and the hash browns tasted sour. We barely touched our food since it was inedible. There was no manager on duty to help and there was zero effort from the wait staff to make things better. No wonder noone else was dining there. I shall not return.

I have been coming to this specific location throughout the years. I must say that I have been coming here more often within the past few months and if you want exceptional service, request a lovely server named Marisol. She is the cutest little thing and is extremely quick. She takes sincere pride in providing great customer service and that is always refreshing when going out to eat. As an UM alumna, I highly recommend this location where I don’t feel it’s always packed and service is wonderful for a good, hearty breakfast. In regards to food, I usually go with the slams: Create your own, Belgian, etc… Brings a little bit of everything for a nice price. Value is key for me. Big shoutout to UM Denny’s, keep it up =)

I found myself wanting breakfast after watching a movie about cooking and omelets. Problem: It’s night out and already way past dinner but damnit I want breakfast now! Solution: Denny’s. I ended up having a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and chocolate peanut butter pancakes. Both items seem to be new to the menu and they were good. I’m not gonna say the food is amazing cause there are moments where the sauce was heavy and the pancake was dry but in the end it does it’s job.

I walked past this Denny’s at least 100 times on my way between work and my parking lot. Finally decided to stop in. Exterior is very plain, and the interior isn’t spectacular, but breakfast here is excellent. This Denny’s serves grits the way they are meant to — in a large bowl with butter. Love the grits. Everything here is done right; eggs, bacon, pancakes. Don’t let the simple décor deter you. Service has always been great; fast and friendly. Pay at the register on your way out.

To start I really am not a Breakfast fan. Every so often I will eat a breakfast in hopes it will be good. Come on eggs, hasbrowns, sausage links and toast. How hard could that be to screw up? Well they did. Honestly one of the worst breakfast ever. We got seated right away and of course I started feeling sick. Why? Like Red Lobster they have carpet throughout their dining area. Carpet in a heavy traffic restaurant equals disgusting! Picture food spills, drinks, guest stomping all over with dirty shoes. Oh yuk, yuk and the smell well it is horrible. I knew at this point we had made a mistake coming here. Go with the flow… ok so I did. Our server was rude when she came with our food she literally threw them in front of us and walked away. Nothing else? Oh yeah no worries I will slurp down this food like an animal in which she treated us like. Eggs are eggs no biggie, my toast tasted old like the bread was stale. The hasbrowns had no flavor and were quite dry. And the worst part for me were the sausage links. I do really like sausage links and was excited to eat some. No exaggeration here these two sausage links were so tiny. I held it up, looked at my husband and said really, WTH. They were so skinny and short. Ridiculous I much prefer big and long. And they had no flavor at all. Also it is NOT like their breakfast is cheap either. Our bill for two people with tip was $ 29…whatever, so not worth it. Conclusion…I would only visit this establishment after a very long night of drinking… maybe!

This Denny’s has been my go-to place since my early goth days when I used to come here to change and grab a bite after hitting the club(over 13 years ago, gosh I feel old!), and now, occasionally after an outing with a friend or going to a late movie and finding we actually DO want dinner or crave an ice cream, we will always end up gravitating to this location. The service is efficient and friendly, and the place seems clean. Although every Denny’s has shady characters, except for the last time I visited, where 2 girls and a guy were threatening to beat each other and go(BACK) to jail as a result while causing a big scene, it’s had less shady characters than other locations, like the North Miami or Midtown one. The parking lot is small, but there’s also street parking and I have never seen it completely full on the many times I have been. I am glad they have started serving healthier options for those trying to lose weight, so now I can still come by on a late night and find something not TOO bad for my health, rather than going home hungry, or eating a greasy pizza at one of the nearby pizza joints that is open late.
