Drive 3 hours for the place. Delicious! The shrimp is really good! Love the spicy flavor! Thanks Ted!

This restaurant is convenient to UM. Since I was going here at lunch on a workday, I couldn’t try their beer unfortunately. I tried their crawfish and andouille bisque. It was yummy. :)

I was impressed by the varied menu selections Burgers to gyros lol, And plenty in between I had the burger it was great though it’s hard to mess up a burger lol. Service was fast and friendly Will be coming more often

For an independent restaurant and brewer this one is fairly good. The food was pub quality and did take a minute for it to come out that means fresh not microwaved, and the service was pretty good. The server did know everything that was needed to explain each brew and even offered a favorite. They also had a sample

We were in town for a conference at UM and since this place was within walking distance and advertised pub food and craft beer, we thought it’d be a win-win. My beer drinking friends enjoyed their picks, and the waitress was very helpful in making selection from their house brews. One of my friends ordered a burger and said it was good but nothing amazing. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and was pretty disappointed. It was a hoagie roll grilled to the point of being burnt, topped with two small chicken strips and slathered with way too much blue cheese sauce, a scant few shreds of lettuce falling out. The chicken was a bit overcooked and the whole thing was just ‘meh’. Add mediocre food to the fact that said food took an oddly long amount of time to come out and we weren’t impressed. It has a nice atmosphere if you like dark, intimate bar settings. It was crowded but not overly so. I remember the hostess was a bit rough when we came in to be seated.

I have three words that sum up the perfection that is Titanic to me. Shrimp & Grits. Do it, trust me… unless you have a shellfish allergy, this is a MUST have.

Darn! I really wish I could remember my waitress’ name. I saved my receipt for the purposes of writing this review, however, I’m sure my well meaning husband threw it in the trash(look for a blonde with long hair in about her 50s) Anyway, she was genuine and attentive but not bothersome, the best part of my visit to Titanic. As for the food, I had the grilled sirloin sandwich which I had to rescue from its dryness by adding mayonnaise. I wouldn’t say the dryness was due to poor preparation; more just a recipe flaw. I also tried a cup of their beef stew which tasted like fresh, homemade goodness. I feel kind of silly writing a review for a brewery without having anything to say about its beer, but hey, I was just accompanying a bar enthusiast for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon.

Cool spot to hang out with friends. Staff gives good service. Food is alright. I tried the Titanic Fish Fry Cod. It has a kick to it but nothing unbearable. The mango mojito was good.

Came to grab quick dinner and quick it was. The service was fast and the food was delicious. For appetizer my husband ordered the peel and eat shrink they were jumbo, fresh and deveined. For our entrée, I had the blackened chicken salad and I very highly recommend it. The spices in the chicken were on point and tasty. My husband has the the seafood pasta and he enjoyed it and loved the taste. My kid has the blackened mahi sandwich and fish fry(shrimp and French fries).

Found this gem just recently while looking for a place to eat on Friday. Great food and beer selection. I tried the cedar salmon with house salad and the wild rice. The glazed on top of the salmon was delicious. At 9pm the an R&B/Jazz band starting playing. The place is filled with locals it has a great relax feel to it.

Wandering into Titanic Brewery late Friday night after my bout with urgent care, I was thirsty for a pint of Resin. Unfortunately, the Resin was out so I settled for a delicious Belgian Triple. My feet felt lighter as I heard the blues tunes from a trio appropriately named the Blues Crusaders. The songs were swinging and truly made you want to get up and dance. Sitting at the bar, I selected a smörgåsbord of seared seafood served on a wooden board called the Gangplank and included salmon, haddock, shrimp, calamari and muscles. On the side, was also a small salad. Satisfyingly fresh, bite size pieced of seafood and the seasoning was also good. The Gangplank caught the eye of a few patrons who commented that it looked good and wished they also had ordered it. The restaurant showcases their brewing operations behind a glass window behind the bar and also has copper silos in an adjacent room which can be seen through a window from the street. Annual enrollment period(85 $) starts around December, if you want to join their beer club with a personalized beer mug and gives you 4 extra oz of beer each serving.

I took my wife here after catching the good reviews here on Unilocal.Hey, what are you guys thinking? When we arrived during Happy Hour, there was no one to greet us, and when an employee wandered by studiously ignoring us, we asked where we could sit while he acted like we were annoying him. That’s always a bad start… Reviewers calling this cozy place or a dive bar have it wrong. It’s simply dirty and not properly maintained. You can only surmise the same lack of concern is also reflected in the food and drink. We seated ourselves and looked around. This place is right near UM, and the inside of the pub looks like it’s been abused by college students for years. There were streaks of dried beer down the dark walls. The tables and chairs all wobbled. The owner must rent them out for WWE props when the bar is closed. Our table wasn’t stable enough to keep our beers from sloshing down the sides of the glasses, and my chair felt like it was going to give way beneath me at any moment. I’ll give this dump the benefit of the doubt and assume they want you to have the experience of eating and drinking aboard the real Titanic moments before she breaks apart and sinks. The beers we had were acceptable for craft brews, but nothing to write home about. That’s the two stars. Our service came from first the bartender and then a waitstaff person, and then another waitstaff person. We had to flag down a waiter every time we needed a refill because apparently an empty glass means nothing to the proprietors. To me, it means an opportunity for more revenue by selling more beer. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer. They were small and, from the taste, just past their sell-by date. The toast they served with them was neither toasted enough nor soft enough. Blech. We decided we would just have a Happy Hour quesadilla and get a meal someplace more inviting, and even that modest culinary offering was pretty lame. We each tried three of their beers on offer and the overarching response from both my wife and me was, «meh…» Their seafood offerings were not the fresh Florida specials I like to see on the menu such as grouper and Florida oysters. The menu looked like their chef was the Gorton’s fisherman. I actually like dive bars and dodgy beer joints, but this place was really neither. The beers were OK, and the food was absolutely forgettable. The fact this place gets 4.5 stars astounds me. This is one of the biggest gaps I’ve yet seen on Unilocal.Normally Unilocal reviews are pretty spot on once you throw out the highs and the lows, but I wouldn’t recommend you spend your money here. Gastropub? This barely qualifies as a bar.

Went to Happy Hour at Titanic with a coworkers on Thursday evening. Just had a few drinks sitting at the bar including the White Star India Pale Ale. Quality I cannot attest to the food, but the White Star India Pale Ale was very good. The selection of house liquors was definitely below par. The bartender said stay away from the whiskey and I tried the house vodka, which was not good. Quantity It was just drinks, but they were solid pours. Value The beer choices are limited to just beers brewed at Titanic. At Happy Hour they give you a dollar off, but they are still relatively expensive. The only other deal for Happy Hour was cheaper house liquors and none are worth messing with. Ambiance Titanic is set up as a brewery and a pub with focus around the bar itself. The bar has a glass window that lets you see the tubs used for making the beer, which is definitely a cool feature. There are several televisions throughout the pub, but they were linked up so only a few things could be put on a one time. It is dimly lit and definitely puts the focus on drinking over eating, although it did have a pretty big menu. Crowd Titanic is located right on the edge of the University of Miami Coral Gables campus. Yet the bar seemed filled with mainly older alumni rather than an expected younger student crowd. There were definitely some members of the faculty, but it was truly surprising to see very few younger individuals. Service The bartender was friendly and very honest about the house liquors. He told us that best bet is to either stick with beer or pay extra for the better quality drinks. He was very attentive and kept our drinks full. Parking There is a lot behind the restaurant, but make sure to read the signs because it is permit parking during certain hours. There is also limited metered parking in front of the pub. Extra The beer was good, but other than that Titanic is a perfectly ordinary pub. Definitely needs to improve its happy hour offerings.

First time I came to Titanic was after a UM basketball game. You could imagine, it was packed. The service and food was excellent. I’ve returned twice since then to see if in fact it is deserving of 5 stars. It is! The restaurant/bar kinda reminds me of the show Cheers. It has that regulars vibe to it. Definitely a local hangout. Getting there is quite easy. There is a small lot right around the corner with plenty of parking. Thus far, the maximum I’ve waited for a table has been 10 minutes. That’s a star in itself. When I’m hungry I’m HUNGRY and I don’t like to wait! So the first time we went we were with a group of people so we were able to sample quite a few dishes. For starters, the crawfish and sausage bisque. It was delicious. It was more soup than bisque but nonetheless the flavor was excellent. The cheese and sausage platter and was a great starter. Different cheeses, sausages and olives. What more can you ask for?! Twice I’ve had the seared tuna salad. I’m obsessed with it. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor and the mustardy vinaigrette is perfect. My husband has tried the meatloaf and the Gang planked platter(seafood platter) and was very impressed. We also tried the peel and eat shrimp. Portions are generous, so come with an appetite. The best part of the meal was the bread pudding! I can’t say enough about it. My favorite desert of all time is a bread pudding. Wherever I go, if it’s on the menu I order it. It really is the best I’ve had! If your in the area, you must try Titanic. With kids, not a problem. They have a great kids menu and plenty of TVs to keep them entertained.

Nice little local pub with good food and drinks that is mega close to University of Miami. The ambiance is just like typical pubs and has plenty of seating, bar stools, and a large viewing of the brewery and I am not too sure the Titanic themed bar fits in Coral Gables, but no matter, this place is always packed. I had an appetizer of Corn & Crawfish Fritters served with cayenne aoli dipping sauce($ 8.95) and it was really fantastic and I would not have a problem ordering another one for my main meal. The Cedar Salmon($ 15.95) was served on a cedar plank and had tons of citrus rum molasses glaze that I personally thought was delicious, but will probably be toow sweet for many people and they really give you a generous amount on your dish(ask for it used sparingly) but the fish was cooked to perfection and it was very good, but almost tasted like a dessert. If you are in coral Gables and looking for a great little local pub this is it.

Titanic is practically on the UM campus, yet I barely came by during undergrad. Now, it’s a good option for a bite before baseball/basketball games or to simply hangout over some burgers and beers. To start, I really like the smoked fish dip. It’s served with toast, capers and hot peppers and is really addicting. I could probably just eat that and be happy. On my last trip, I tried the BBQ chicken flatbread and it was surprisingly a little spicy(which I loved) and a good portion for sharing. I also stole bites of the fish and chips which were delicious, along with the Sloppy Jose burger which includes salsa, guac and pepperjack cheese. The menu is really extensive from sandwiches and salads to larger plates like BBQ ribs, pork chops, pasta and fish dishes. I think that there’s really something for everyone. What’s unique about this spot is that it’s also a brewery in an area where you can’t find too many! I usually go for their Triple Screw Light Ale but would also recommend a sampler so you can try a little bit of everything. Many of their beers pair nicely with the food. They have good weekly specials($ 6 burgers on Tuesdays, $ 10 ten wings and a pint on Thursdays) and live music more nights than not! Definitely a cool spot to check out if you’re around the area. Pro tip: If you’re going before aforementioned games, get there a little bit early as the place can get slammed with people!

Cheap brewskis, good cheap food, warming ambience!– I can clearly see why Titanic is a top University of Miami hangout! I usually come to Titanic at least once a month to hang out with my friends, and this place has never failed to deliver top service. I am usually sat down after arriving(there are usually no waits) and assisted by a nice waitress. So far for my visits here, I have tried their meatloaf, meat skewers, and a bunch of their burgers. Their meatloaf is meaty(what else would you expect from meatloaf). The meat skewers are perfect for those on a paleo diet(they are just pieces of meat on a stick – prepared well and savory), and the burgers are delicious. Before you visit, let me just say that at Titanic, you will not find five-star platters(because honestly the place is very affordable), but the meals are delicious and fresh. It is a couple of stars above your typical Chilis or Flanigans and a little bit healthier. If you want some free chips, feel free to grab a bag by the door– they are absolutely complimentary! I would advise it if you are hungry and want to hold yourself over. If you want to enjoy some live karaōke or live music, they offer that during the nights. Karaōke night is Sundays after 9 p.m., and there is live music throughout the week usually at 10 pm. I highly recommend trying any of their beers. Some of them are seasonal and are there for a limited time only. Their pumpkin beer is delicious in case you want to try it and is available during the fall season. Parking may be limited in the back, but you can park on that area of grass in the back if that is to your liking. I highly recommend visiting Titanic if you are looking for good cheap beer, a nice burger, a relaxing yet lively place to hang out, and are basically in the University of Miami area. Titanic has been here for a while, and it has become a huge University of Miami landmark.

I always used to pass by this place but I never went in. I decided to go on a small adventure and try it out. My review is only based on the beer sampler since I didn’t eat here. The place itself is larger than expected and the service was quick, but then again there were not too many people around. I came here for Karaōke night but I didn’t enjoy it as much as other karaōke places.
