Went to get exam and glasses, worst experience of my life, when I wore the glasses they were over powered and gave me headaches, and the second pair were suppose to be tinted sunglasses and they first didn’t do them, then lost them… I went back and said I don’t want them they give me headaches and the girl argued with me that it was«Your prescription», but it was THEIR exam, I didn’t give it to myself, and I didn’t bring one to them… I had to use vulgarity to get her to agree to cancel, then weeks later I got a call saying my sunglasses were in… SERIOUSLY…The worst place around… AVOID like plaque…

Don’t waste your money here; the staff was incredibly rude, especially the«doctor» — she acted more like she was working an assembly line, shortest eye exam ever; rushed us out of there, because we heard from the tech«she wanted to go to lunch» — which she promptly did, as we saw her marching out in a huff while we were still paying at the check out counter. Note that we were not late or anything. The tech was also very rude, appalling really. There was one girl at the register who was civilized. Our total was also a little more than we expected, which just added to the negative experience. Overall they treated us like they were doing us a favor, instead of the other way around, technically. I can’t emphasize enough how shocked we were. Some people don’t appear to realize they depend on the customer’s business to live. Suffice it to say, we will not be going there again.

Horrible place!!! No customer service, no one goes above & beyond to try & help you. 6 weeks waiting for my glasses and even though I have been calling daily not one person has stepped up to assure I am satisfied with their service. The manager Matt is useless, he seems to just be there to collect a check because even though he is aware they messed up my prescription he washes his hands by saying it is not his fault. I will never recommend anyone to come here & will never go back for future testing or eye glass needs. they are the worst place I have ever been to!

I purchased two pairs of glasses from them about a year ago. They didn’t accept my insurance so the«2 pairs for $ 69» wasn’t really true. I ended up spending $ 150+. During my appointment I was told that I would pay half at that moment and the pay the other half when my glasses came in two weeks later. After two weeks passed, I called and was told that my glasses weren’t finished. A week after that, I called again and was told the same thing. Another week after that, I called again and was told the same thing. So, I called the corporate number and complained which is when I was told that my glasses weren’t being finished because I had not paid them off completely although the employees at the store never told me that at all. I paid for the glasses and received them about a week after that. Now, a year later(just past the warranty date I may add), both pairs of glasses are broken. The first pair broke apart while I was driving, and the second pair just fell apart while I was wearing them at work(just fell off of my face). When I called to see if I could get them repaired, they told me that because my warranty was up, I would have to buy another pair of glasses and get another eye exam. No wonder it was 2 for $ 69, these are the cheapest pair of glasses I have ever owned. I would never even consider getting another pair from them or recommending this place to ANYONE! Don’t waste your time or your money.

I’m was very dissatisfied with this company. I was promised that within two weeks I would have the two pair of glasses. Five weeks went by and only one pair of sunglasses were ready. I called many times and spoke with Matt the head manager. Every time I called I was told that I would have my glasses in one more week. 71 days later I still didn’t have my glasses. Matt became rude and told me that I would have to wait another week. At this point I refused to wait anymore and all I wanted was a refund. He made it difficult to get my refund. Don’t use this company.

worst costumer service… I’ve been waiting since 2 months to receive son’s glasses and they always have an excuse why is not ready. they blame the laboratory and hang up on you while you are waiting on line. they also tell you that they will call back and they never do. Next time I definitely will go to another optical. stay away from this place!!!

Worst place ever! Do not use them!!! They claim you get a discount on glasses but by the time they add everything up because nothing included in sale price, you’re paying just as much or more than any other eye place. Then they promise to have it within seven days and a month later you’re still waiting on your glasses. Best part when mine finally came in they sent the wrong ones! The place is horrible and so is the customer service! DONOTUSETHEM

My husband recently made an appointment for an eyeglass and contact lens exam. I have no complaints about the doctor, she was very friendly and professional but what I do have a complaint about is the EXTREMELYPUSHY sales women. She kept badgering and pestering my husband about joining their membership club, she was relentless! After he kept telling her no thank you, she kept asking him«Are you sure? Are you sure?» As if my husband was so unsure of his own decisions that he needed confirmation from this women. I am not one to write reviews but the entire experience with them left such a bad taste that I want the owners to know they might need to retrain their staff on sales. My husband said that he would have joined the membership club but decided against it after the women insisted on asking him over and over again. Made us feel like we were in a used car dealer ship. Whoever is responsible for the sales associates, PLEASE tell them that asking a client again and again if they are sure about something is insulting a huge no no in closing a sale.

I should have logged onto Unilocal before making my appointment and from the previous reviews I would have steered clear. I made an «appointment» for an exam and was seen about 30 mins after the scheduled time… fine, thats kind of typical. I was there for about 2 hours and had picked out my glasses and was done. Everyone was nice the first visit. I came back to pick up my glasses only to find out that they had ordered reading glasses when I specifically asked for computer glasses. This doesnt sound that big of a difference but it is since I couldnt see a thing on my screen. I brought the glasses back and they said it was no problem and they would order the computer glasses right away. I received a call a couple of days later to say that the glasses were there so I left work early to make it on time(they close at 6 and I work 30 mins away) only to find out that they called me but really the glasses were not ready yet. I get another call a couple of days later and go into work late so that I can pick them up(because they open at 9:30 for pickups) only to be told that they are still not ready. This happens a third time today — after I called and spoke with a live person who told me they were ready. At this point I can take no more and ask for a refund. I was willing to pay for the exam but not the glasses. I was told no and that I have to wait for the glasses to come in. If I want a refund then, I can have it. This was horrible service and would never recommend to anyone or come back. Let me add to this that the«2 pair for $ 69.» is a hoax… they are about 10 pairs of horrible glasses at that price and unlike other companies who offer the whole pair for that price, the $ 69 only includes the frames.

So… on my fourth visit for the same issue with my glasses, I was told that they cannot repair them and I would have to choose another pair! I’m now on the third week awaiting the replacement pair! Since my warranty is about to expire, I clean only believe that the lousy General Manager has had the order stalled to meet the expiration date! Every morning I remind my radio listeners to avoid this company at all costs! Pay double, triple even, just do not support My Eyelab! Matt who is the General should be fired! He is a condescending, lying and rude person that should not have a job dealing with the public! The mere fact that the Corporate office doesn’t even monitor Unilocal, much less respond to the issues posted on this site, shows just how little they care! Why do we continue to support these companies? As I sit here waiting for the third week for my replacement glasses, I will continue in my efforts to convince as many of my listeners as possible to avoid this lousy business! My Eyelab SUCKS!!! By the way… Why are we forced to give at least 1 star? They don’t even deserve 1!

BAITANDSWITCH. eyelab ran an ad on TV last evening: 2pair single vision glasses for $ 39. So I drove to Coral Springs and walked in. I referenced this offer and was show a tray with 8 pair of womens frames. I’m a 50 yr old guy and have no use for women’s glasses. «This is what we have,» said the fellow. It’s a petty scam; BAITANDSWITCH. Bring the people in hope they go for the«regular merchandise» which would be in the $Hundreds$. Pitiful. No integrity. I’ll never go back.

I’ve work Progressives for almost 10 years, the last pair for 3 ½ years. When Francine Camporeale worked up the prescription, she said it was«a 17-step correction», and if she corrected me all the way to 20/20, it would make me nauseous, so she’d only correct me part way, then next year when I come back, she can correct me to 20⁄20. I reminded her that I’ve worn progressive lenses for quite some time, so that shouldn’t be a problem. She insisted that the best thing to do was only a partial correction. She’s the«expert», so I had to go along with it. Picked out glasses, waited a week, got a call and went to pick them up. I put them on, and couldn’t read a thing — it was worse than my old glasses. The tech took the glasses to make an adjustment, told me to blink a lot so my eyes would adjust. I put the new glasses back on, and still no better. The tech says it will take a week or 2 for my eyes to adjust to the new script. I explained that it’s not that they’re progressives, and I need to adjust to that, but that the glasses weren’t right. She told me to take them home and wear them for a week or two until my eyes adjusted to the new prescription. After a day and a half, I couldn’t stand it any more. I work on a computer all day, and need to be able to read the screen. I brought them back. Without looking at my eyes again, they determined that the script was right, but they would re-make my glasses with a stronger reading area(since they had so much to work with because it was only a partial correction…). More than 2 weeks later, I called to see if they were ready. They had been sitting there for 4 days, no call. I went in during lunch, tried them on, and while they were better, I still couldn’t read. I requested a refund. After waiting for a manager since she was the only one who could post a refund, I explained the whole story again. She wanted me to reschedule to see their«resident» doc as the one I saw wasn’t their normal doc. She said that they can’t post refunds in the store — I had to call their customer service phone number. She insisted I take the glasses with me. I called, explained the whole story again, and was told that customer service couldn’t issue refunds, only the store could. Tammy(customer Service) offered to call the store and work with the manager to issue the refund. The store manager did call me back, and went ahead and refunded me for the glasses. Last week, I did go to a different store and had my eyes re-examined. They asked when my last eye exam was. When I explained it was only a month ago, they wanted to know why. When I explained about the 17-step correction, he looked at me like I was speaking Martian. He says there’s no such thing, and even if he were to count the«steps» from +025 to +050, etc, there’s still not 17 steps in my correction between my last script and my new one. While the people at My Eye Lab are courteous and friendly, it’s a struggle to get them to actually listen to what you’re saying.

The worst experience I have ever had when purchasing eyeglasses! I waited almost a month to find out that a pair of glasses I ordered was NEVER ordered! I was quoted a price for 3 pairs of glasses, only to find out the price I paid was for only 2 pairs! If I knew that upfront I would have never purchased any glasses from there. Be warned that this place is a MAJOR rip off!

We used the Groupon special, so the cost was good. Thats it, it’s all downhill from there! The glasses came in and were in store for 9 days and no call from store. We called the store 4 times on Saturday to go pick up and no answer! We go to pick up my wifes frames and it looks nothing like what she ordered! To make things worse she put them on and couldn’t read a word! They screwed up the perscription and told her your eyes just need to get adjusted to it. You get what you pay for, Horrible Customer Service! Getting my money back from them and Groupon.

This is in the top 3 most frustrating businesses I’ve EVER dealt with. The friendly demeanor is borderline patronizing and basically worthless as no one is accountable nor really cares whether you received damaged glasses, incorrect lenses, their error/goof, or even if they’ve misplaced your order for a month! I too was suckered(should have known better) to believe ANY of their(bait & switch) promos(2 for $ 69 — What a joke as basically no ones Rx qualifies for those, «Buy One get One» — Yeah, just the frame basically as everything else is an «upgrade» that cost $ 45-$ 120 for each option you have to pay for twice if you want it on your«free» pair). Ended up paying $ 490 for two non-brand name glasses with AG coating and transition options. All of which ending up costing $ 380 at LensCrafters,(which I received the next day). The ONLY semi-redeeming quality was that after nearly a month of not receiving one of the two pairs and the first ones being wrong(after a second time), they didn’t give me a hassle over providing me with a refund(minus the exam, of course). There were two nicer ladies(the older ones, one of them a mgr) that seemed to be sincere in their desire to help or at least be empathetic. Otherwise, just a sea of clueless twits.

I’ve tried through email, Unilocal and twitter to get someone from @myeyelab to even talk to me. To date only a run around. How anyone believes they can run a business in today’s social connected world and ignore customer complaints is surprising. They will be closed in 2 years or less.
