University of Iowa hospitals and clinics – Iowa River Landing

very clean and friendly facility. I am impressed by the organization of the clinic. The staff is courteous. There is no fees for parking. And plenty of stuff to do in the rapidly developing IRL area before or after finishing the visit.

Wow, I love this clinic!
It’s so much more convenient than the downtown clinic (less chaotic and very easy to find parking), and the building is easy to navigate. The staff are all very friendly and so far I’ve liked the two physicians I’ve met here.
Not every service is available at this location (though perhaps that’ll evolve over the years since this is a relatively new location?) so I still go to the downtown clinic depending on what I need but when scheduling appointments, I always ask if I can be scheduled at the Iowa River Landing location first.

Never had a bad experience with any appointment my family has had! Love the FREE parking too! !

IRL as it is affectionately known is the most recent addition to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The new outpatient clinic building boasts both primary care and specialty clinics in a more convenient location with plenty of parking and nextdoor to the Iowa River Landing development.
Inside the clinics, the modern and updated clinics are aimed at making the entire patient experience more efficient. The pharmacy located on the first floor is integrated with the clinics upstairs and is aimed at saving patients time during their visit.
The building has an immense number of windows, has a large number of open areas in and outside the building and plenty of seating throughout.
Overall, IRL is a great addition to UIHC and gives patients more efficient access to their providers as well as a reason to hit up the new establishments nearby.
