Lots of décor items at very reasonable prices. My house is filled with antiques so nothing will work but it was fun to look.

I’m weird about smells. I don’t like the smell a car starts to take on after, oh, say about 6 months of ownership. The newness wears off, the lingering smells of take out items, coffees and other random items that have come and gone tend to stick and become more and more prevalent. Because of this, Kirkland’s is a rotational stop for me simply to pick up their scent packets to stash under my car seats. They aren’t overly perfumey, yet you can still get a nice whiff of them whenever you open your car doors, they’re cheap and they get the job done when it comes to knocking out any of the creepy stinks mentioned above. The rest of the place is hit or miss for me. They have a lot of tchotchkeys– or as I like to call it «room dandruff.» If it doesn’t serve an actual purpose, I’m not sure that I want it taking up space on my bookshelves, so this merchandise is lost on me. I’ve seen a few canvas prints that were nice, but a little too mainstream for my tastes. When I flip through your array of wall art and there are 13 identical pieces right behind it, I’m gonna pass. I’d like something on my wall that the rest of North America doesn’t have in their living rooms as well. This isn’t to say that I dislike everything here. Every once in a while I can find a hidden gem– and of course it is always great for gift giving. The location here is easy, there’s never any traffic in this strip mall. They’re on a corner and there’s more than ample parking. As an added bonus, you can head over to the frozen yogurt shop across the way afterwards. Which, if we’re being honest, that’s the real score of the whole outing.

I love interior decorating, but being on a budget can make that a bit of a challenge at times. Fortunately, I’m pretty good at sniffing out bargains and finding creative ways to furnish my little home. Kirkland’s is one of my favorite places to shop for home décor. They have a lot of very pretty and also very inexpensive wall hangings, prints and mirrors, great smelling candles, pillows, throws and even some furniture pieces. And it’s a really great store for gift buying, especially at Christmas when they get in their seasonal items.

This is a home goods store for those finishing touches on your home. Lacquered canvas prints for the wall — Kirkland’s is a big fan of earth tones — candles, hurricane lamps, candle holders, and votives. They have a nice array of mirrors for the hallway or bedroom in circular or rectangular shapes — and not too expensive, and they don’t look cheap. I love picking up their scent sachets to stick in my drawers or closet — passion fruit and anilla smell great.
