We traveled into Akron, NY to celebrate a birthday and wanted to get her a lemon meringue pie… After calling around, I finally had the pleasure of speaking with Ken who practically bent over backwards to prepare a pie that was absolutely perfect! Beyond making the one pie, they went above and beyond to make two and we had the difficult task of choosing the one we wanted to buy. Meringue, lemon tart and crust were all excellent. Great atmosphere and lunch menu. Next time we are in town, definitely will be making a stop at our new favorite spot in Corfu!

Do yourself a favor and pick up a treat from Buttercrumbs Bakery! You will not be disappointed. They have your usual bakery treats (sweet rolls, cookies, pastries, pies, scones, muffins, etc), breakfast (i.e. egg sandwich), and lunch options! This bakery also does made to order cakes for special events, including weddings. Fantastic service and great ambiance.

I have been coming here since the opened, and they are just as good now as they were when they opened! They even did my wedding cake which was delicious. I miss living in Corfu and stopping by on my to work!

How did Corfu New York — a village in Western New York with a population of 709 (census 2010) get a cool urban hip bakery like this? Every citizen of Corfu should be paying respect to the restaurant gods for getting this little gem. Now, the other question is how do people from Toronto discover this place well — easy, it was on our way to Darien Lake amusement park which is a few miles away and I did a little research before hand on Unilocal.We had a still warm rice crispy square and according to my son who is a self appointed expert calls it the best he has ever had. We also tried their cookies which was equally excellent. The bakery also has home made soups and sandwiches but we did not try.
Now, the bizarre things is the hours of operation, it seems that they close at 2pm every weekday day and at noon on Saturdays. So you better get there early.

just went here for the first time today and I was very impressed! the bakery itself is adorable and the staff was so nice! I got a huge pastry heart for only 1.50 and it was the best pastry heart I’ve ever tasted!

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and was in awe of their great selection. Pastries, pies, breads, muffins, scones, etc, and everything looked amazing. I finally settled on a maple bacon scone, and it was delicious. Sounded interesting, so I figured I would go for it, and I was not disappointed. We also got an apple caramel scone that was out of this world. Everyone working there was very friendly and seemed to have a lot of pride in their work, which is always a sign of a great business.
