Love this place fresh and great lunch portions. Try their homemade ice-tea love they have 2 sizes. My favorite sesame seed chicken with little sauce and alot of sesame seeds.

This place makes very good food and I liked them… until the delivery guy accused us of giving him a counterfeit bill. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from here again!

They’re really rude when you’re trying to place an order for delivery. Food is okay.

I like their food but they refuse to deliver to our door because we live in a building.

As far as «American» chinese food goes, this spot isn’t bad. I work in the area and have tried just about every other spot around. Honestly, there simply aren’t very good choices in this genre of food. But when we have an inkling for it, this is where we order from now. We usually order in from here, so as far as delivery, it arrives quickly and they have yet to mix up our order.

We found this place on a break from the New York Hall of Science. It’s one block down from the Lemon Ice King of Corona. I am definitely a take out chinese food connoisseur. I usually know by the smell of the place when I walk in whether the oil they use is old and reused. I’ve only been to Double Chinese twice, but so far, so good! The first time, we ordered lunch specials to eat in. I ordered Egg Foo Young, which is always risky. Some cultures do not believe in the necessity of refrigerating eggs. The dish was great on all fronts: Smell, taste, texture and digestion. There’s something about ripping into a piece of Egg Foo Young, when the onions and bean sprouts fight to stop you. Yum. This weekend, we just went to order something cheap: The fried chicken wings. $ 3.40 for four wings and rice. The prices for your dish increase depending on what rice you want: Plain fried rice(with onion and bean sprouts only), Pork or chicken fried rice(a little more), or beef or shrimp friend rice(costs the most). The chicken wings were as expected. You really can’t mess up deep fried chicken wings. However, the order was a little slow. You could see the fry guy doing his work. I’m not sure what he was doing. He kept taking things out(whole fried chickens) and putting them to the side. The kitchen area is a little cramped for space. I saw the half-chickens, and I think they are the same price as the wings. I think I’ll order them next time. It was a weird coincidence that the other 5 people who ordered while I was in Double Chinese were also ordering deep fried chicken, too. I guess it’s a 4 p.m. Saturday thing. The workers at the restaurant are also friendly and speak english well, and I think I also heard them speaking spanish. I will definitely go back for the low priced lunch specials.

I’d always wondered why they called it «Double Chinese»…maybe the owners were twice as patriotic about the homeland as other owners? Twice as Chiney? Who knows. Anyway, decided to order there today on a whim. Beef and broccoli! EXCELLENT, huge, large portion.(I did order a large.) I skipped the rice(they give you a lot) and dumped the carton on to a dinner plate. It was a big mountain on a plate, so I knew it was a lot. Not as oily as Panda Garden(local competition). Very yummy, good timing, super nice delivery guy. Only the first order, but we’ll see!
