I went here with high hopes after several recommendations, but this was quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The dough was dense, unevenly rolled, and though it was as thin as lettuce in some spots, it was as tough as leather. The sauce was heavy on the tomato paste. And to top things off, when I got home & read the menu, I realized that he rounded up the sales tax by 77 cents!

So we ordered some pizza and there was a roach crawling around the table! We called the waiter and he looked at the ceiling like if it was a norm for roaches to fall from the ceiling… He then asked us if we wanted another slice… Uh no? Why would I want another slice after that? Anyway the man behind the register was so rude he asked what happened we explained and he became very hostile he even had the nerve to say maybe the roach came out of my pocketbook! What!

I’m assuming the owner is the older man behind the counter, he has a nasty attitude as if your not doing him any favors by spending your money there. I only tried the pizza, and being born and raised in Brooklyn NY, I’m a little judge mental when it comes to good Italian pizza, especially because I am Italian. The sauce was dry and without flavor, the crust what cardboard and the use cheap cheese for sure. The pizza I got was sitting around all day ! So I wouldn’t try any other food in this place because of the bad pizza, 2 thumbs down, don’t waste your money.

Work close by. Read some pretty negative reviews but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt as I truly love pizza. Service was definitely lacking. Waiters seem overworked and aren’t the friendliest people. It’s also a weird hybrid of restaurant and pizza bar. Pizza is so so. One Sicilian was pretty dried out and mainly dough. The other was a little more flavorful but again a little rubbery. Appreciate the old school feel and do love pizzerias, but alas this one ain’t worth it.

This place is super old school, the décor is dated from the inside to the outside but that is part of the charm. Corona used to be very heavily Italian but now just has a few remaining shops like Mama’s across the street. To sum up, it’s basically a very straightforward, no frills pizzeria. The food: Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce– The baked ziti is where it’s at. I think the baked ziti plain is probably my fav thing here. I tried it with the addition of the meat sauce and it was good but I prefer without. The cheese was oozy and the ziti is not cooked to mush, the tomato sauce has a nice pop and I think there is a ricotta mixed in at the bottom. This is a pretty classic, well made old school Italian American dish. Garlic Knots– They were meh, they were kinda oily and on the hard side. The flavor was OK, but there was not visible garlic to be seen.

I’m giving two stars in hoping that this place restores itself to the level of quality it once was. The staff is rude, pizza sauce and dough taste crappy. I remember the pizza from this place used to have me raving to friends and relatives, hoping that they would try a slice to find out why I used to be in love with the food. I hate speaking negatively of this place, but it pisses me off to taste the pizza they cook these days. Unfortunately, I now prefer to order from the local Papa Johns and my entire family makes the same dissatisfied expression on their faces if Tony’s is ever mentioned. My gf was also recently overcharged by the owner himself and he tried to blame it on the taxes. I guess this is how they are trying to survive with the lack of customers these days.

Horrible experience and will definitely NEVER return here again. Walked in to not even be greeted and ended up with a waitress who hates her job. When she took our order, I asked for a fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and broccoli. She then said«together? I never heard of that before». What!!! This is supposed to be an Italian reataurant… 40 minutes later and all we got was bread. I proceeded to tell the waitress we were leaving and all she could say is «ok» Stay away from this terrible restaurant with no concept of service. Better believer business is staying with Angelo’s.

The experience here was OK, we were treated nicely by the staff and the atmosphere was a bit dull. The pizza here is good however, at $ 2.25 per slice I may be willing to take extra time looking for a better price. Overall it’s OK.

Good old-fashioned pizza joint, serving good stick to your ribs food. We had the baked clams nice and garlicky. And then on to a small pie for two, the pizza was so good(nice crust) as was the sausage. They make the wine themselves HOWKOOL. Between the food and talking to the locals about Jeter’s last home game a fun time. The front part is a typical pizza place. But they have other rooms that are decorated more upscale. I loved the typical pizza décor and the owner was fun. They have a big menu with loads of goodies .Also a full barWe like to come by for lunch and hang.

The pizza was salty and not that great. The ginger ale was kind of flat. However, I gave three stars because it has a pretty nice party room which is good for a quiet lunch with a group of 30 to 40.

Dined here with a group of 25 people. We were seated in the back room. The space itself looks a bit dated and is nothing fancy. Years ago, I always enjoyed Tony’s food, so either things are not what they used to be or I now know what good food tastes like. Everything was served family style for our group. The highlight of the meal was the bread basket. Two kinds of bread were served warm and were really good. We started off with an antipasto salad that included olives, lettuce, peppers, salami, mozzarella and soppressata. It was quite good. Next up was fried calamari. The calamari was large and tender, but very bland. There was no flavor to them at all. For the main course, we had Rigatoni with Vodka sauce, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmigiana and Eggplant Parmigiana. The rigatoni was OK, a bit overcooked with a heavy basil flavor, which isn’t the norm for vodka sauce. The chicken Marsala, was just not good. The chicken and eggplant were better, but not great and they definitely felt like a little bomb in your tummy. Service was average, but for me the food doesn’t warrant a return visit.

Tony used to be a very good restaurant but lately their service and food is slowly declining. Their staff is very rude when you go there. They also seem like you are bothering them by going to their restaurant. I wish they were as good as they were when I was younger. Tony had the best pizza in Corona. Now they just make you lousy over-cooked pizza. This is probably one of the last times I go back to Tony– at least until they manage to hire new staff and go back to the quality of food they once produced. Hopefully I can go back and find that they have improved.

The calamari fra diavlo is awesome. The chicken is so tender you don’t even need a knife to cut it. My wife and her co workers eat there all the time. I drive 15 – 20 minutes just for them.
