Bad food. Slow service. Pasta sauce tasted like cheap store bought sauce. Same sauce was on the sandwich i ordered(yes, they had pasta sauce on the top of the sandwich, I did not see that coming) and the pasta my friend ordered, and it was real bad. Service was ok, but super slow.

Had meatball sub with side of pasta salad. Both fantastic and despite large size, left me wanting more.

It’s a shame as the location of this restaurant is perfect. That’s where the positives stop. Service was ok, however food was terrible. Tagliatelle tasted like they just defrosted it and the chicken and the sauce was thick and nasty. I couldn’t eat more than ¼ of it. Will never go back. The locals hate this place and now I see why.

It was pretty long wait but we got seated right away cause we sat at the bar. The pizza was really good and we were starving so we ate the whole thing fast and we loved that it was thin and crispy too

The worst pasta I’ve ever had. It literally tasted like a fettuccine noodle. The Artichoke pizza wasn’t too bad and the cares salad was 4 slices of tomatoes and 4 slices of mozzarella cheese with dressing poured on top. Our waitress was friendly though!

We had limited time before the show started at Lamb’s Theatre(jst up the block) and sat at the bar. It was busy but cosy and the staff were all over helping us get our meal with plenty of time to enjoy our meal and as it turns out, an extra glass of zin.

Poor customer service. Got our meal wrong multiple times and did not try to correct it but tired to cover up the mistakes instead.

Cruising through Coronado, and was drawn by the intimate atmosphere and appetizing menu. The cannelloni and lasagna are well served dishes and you can tell the pasta is either homemade or sourced locally. Order a half loaf of the bread as it’s brought out hot and is great with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Coronado is a high class island, and so I feel the good food is $$$ and above, leaving those of us in the $$ range hungry and unsatisfied. It was hard to find a reasonably priced place to eat and then we ended up here. It was disappointing. Upon arriving no one was outside to great us and all the servers were in the kitchen. I called out several times before banging a fork on the bar to get attention. I was greeted by a staff member who yelled out«we will be right there» and then did a fake obnoxious laugh. We sat ourself outside. The waitress herself was extremely nice and accommodating, no problem there. My sister and bro-in-law got the eggplant parmigiana sandwich which was tasty but not warm enough. The bread was nicely toasted and the sauce was definitely generous. It was accompanied by a very al dente pasta salad that was somehow pretty good despite how hard it was I got the turkey sandwich that was topped with sliced mozzarella. Overall a glorified cold cut sandwich that wasn’t very good. Bread was stale and it was topped with a vinegar lettuce but also mayo? Weird. Not good. I ate about 1⁄3 of it. My pasta salad was also good. The only good part of not eating my whole meal was having enough room in my stomach to go to the gelato shop on C. Bummer spot for fancy coronado!

I have always had a great time at Island Pasta while visiting. I love the ease of getting seated and a great meal! Was impressed by the wine choices at my last visit, and had a great seat on the patio that made for a very special and memorable experience. HALF&HALF pizza. Its a life saver!

Just left there, horrible horrible pasta. Pasta was undercooked, tasted like sink water and nothing else. Ordered a Cesar salad and the croutons were inedible, tasted like chemicals, maybe stucco. The only edible thing was the pizza which was decent. Definitely would not return. And even though we sent back our entire pasta, all they could do for us was give us the pasta half off. Also, sit inside if you want to hear waitresses complain about having to work all next week.

Such fresh pasta, cooked al dente. Popping, lemony pesto. the mushroom ravioli with ½ pesto and ½ marinara is fabulous as is the lobster ravioli, creamy alfredo with sweet lobster stuffing and bright yellow semolina hand made raviolis. Torpedo grilled sandwiches are fluffy and crunchy and they don’t skimp on the meat. The Marinara that comes on the ravioli is sweet and savory but the marinara that comes as a side or the build your own pasta option is greasy and bitter. I would not recommend it. The service is fine but not the friendliest.

If you like undercooked pasta doused with vegetable soup, this is the place for you! If you like to hear waitresses complain about lousy tips, be sure to sit by the register. Waiter was short tempered and way too cool for his own good. Don’t sit at the bar, unless you are entertained by kitchen bickering and middle fingers. Other than that, the water was spot on!

Nice little place to stop after doing some shopping in the area. The hostess was very nice, sat us outside and offered to take our rather large baby stroller out of the way and store inside for us while we ate. The pizzas tasted fresh and were a good size. The shrimp salad was large and had lots of baby shrimp… House made vinaigrette. Decently priced entrees for the area.

Waitress was very sweet and helpful. I have no issues with service. The hostess was not real friendly though. Not a good first impression but the waitress made up for it. Food: The Caesar salad had oily dressing, 5 croutons from a box, and a little sprinkled Parmesan from a jar. For $ 7 each for a small salad, they should use real shredded Parmesan, a decent amount of it, creamy dressing, and homemade croutons from their wonderful baguettes. The baguette was good! The pizza seriously looked and tasted like frozen pizza :(. Fortunately, we were on a date and the atmosphere sitting outside on a beautiful early evening made it okay. Sorry to do 2 stars but that’s the best I could do.

Homemade pasta, that’s really all you need to say about this place. It’s authentic and rustic charm reminds myself of a Sunday Italian dinner with family as everyone is indulging on grandma’s homemade large pasta bowls and meatballs. Great Italian food, highly recommend this place.

Very disappointing. The lasagna was dry. My wife’s pasta tasted like it got cooked the day before. The pesto sauce was tart. Even the marinara sauce tasted funky. Of the four of us who dined there, no one came away satisfied with their meal. Tourist Trap all the way.

Mediocre Italian restaurant in beautiful Coronado. Food: mediocre. Pasta was bad. I ordered spaghettini with tomato and basil and it was bland and didn’t have enough flavor. The portobello sandwich my dad ordered was not really a portobello sandwich. My husband’s pizza wasn’t bad though, and the shrimp salad my brother ordered was probably the best item out of all of us. Service: The waitress was a bit harsh when we got there. She didn’t greet us politely and even argued with us when we asked to put the stroller by our table in the corner. In the end we were forced to put the stroller by the entrance.

Taste is okay… u can make better at home. I believe in fast service but the food we ordered came out too fast. I know for a fact nothing was home made or cooked by scratch. It was just a microwave and oven. Ha.

We were recently here with my husband’s parents and our baby, on a busy night next to the«Del», and they were very accommodating. The homemade fettuccine with island meat sauce was very good. My baby forswore his mac n cheese completely to eat a good portion of my dish. The slice of sourdough bread was a nice touch as well.
