Overall good pace. I orders the carne Asada Torta and my wife had the enchiladas suizas. Both were delicious and fresh. Our server was prompt and very nice in spite the fact that we were here 30 before closing time. Our dessert(fried ice cream) was not the best hence the 4 star review. Not that 4 stars is bad but the taste and quality is just not 5 stars. The corn flakes on the fried ice cream we’re old and stale. Good bang for buck especially considering the area. We will be back for sure and try a different desert next time :-)

Miguelito’s was simply awesome. The chips and salsa are delicious but this restaurant is so cool that they also include queso… For free. The only problem is we got close to full off those chips. Despite that, the entrees we tried were phenomenal. I would definitely recommend the pollo asado. The chicken has a perfect flavor and tastes fresh and tender with more of the queso and also some red sauce. Perhaps the best part was the affordability. Most of the entrees are around $ 10-$ 15, which, with the included chips and salsa, is a pretty good bargain, especially in this area. I highly recommend this place. Oh, and for those interested, on Sundays you can get unlimited sparkling wine for $ 4.

Yep. A 5. Arrive by the alley entrance and find chips and salsa waiting. These are crisp slightly oily triangles fried on site chips. Then… the hostess counter doubles as a bar… so if the wait is long… no worry… eat a few chips and sip a beer or margarita. Upon seating… EAT more chips with the warm complimentary jack jalapeño cheese served immediately. The special we ordered was mahi stuffed shrimp… cooked to perfection with subtlety grilled veggies. The rice was fluffy and light. The ambiance is perfect… the service good… it is loud… but worth it.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food is always great, the service always pleasant, timely and attentive. I love thier Ultimate Margarita. You have to try the Carnitas, Queso Fundido, anything with shrimp or lobster on thier specials menu and the Birria de Res. You will not be sorry. I love that this location is pet friendly on thier patio.

Had lunch here with my dog yesterday and it was great. Food was good and drinks were awesome. Prices are fair but the service was a little slow at times(we sat outside so can’t comment on how it was inside).

I liked the jalapeño cheese sauce that they serve with their complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was okay; albondigas soup was okay(less sodium would have made it better); chopped salad was okay and margarita was okay. Overall just an okay restaurant.

Visited on a Friday night(around 6pm) and only had a 20 minute wait. Parking was a bit tricky, but we found a place about a 3 minute walk away. Their complementary chips and dips were great! And they were very prompt to refill them after we demolished them so quickly. I had the Shrimp enchilada which was fantastic! all-be-it a little small in portion size, but still really good. My friend ordered the dive and… something burrito which he really liked and was really big at a pretty cheap price. I highly recommend to anyone wanting not-super-authenitic-mexican food. It was still way delicious.

I’m underwhelmed by my food. My last day in California and I was looking for some real authentic Mexican food. This place missed the mark. I’ve had better in Indiana. Makes me sad to end my trip on a culinary low.

I had the veggie enchilada and my spouse had carnitas. Both were great. Not too spicy. I especially liked the refried beans. The location is great, very near Hotel del Coronado.

So far so good. Leslie wanted to come here for her birthday. The cevice was great! Just recieved the calimari. Will come back to let you know how it is. Calimari was good. I had two Carne Asada tacos with beans and rice. Very good. The ambiance is really nice. Rustic décor with old wood floors and furniture. All in all it is a good place to eat. It’s biggest downfall is the price. But being that it is located, on Coronado Island, across the street from the Hotel del Coronado, you should expect it to be pricier. I almost forgot to mention the corn chips they bring to the table came with two sauces. The regular red salsa which was good and a white creamy cheese sauce which was really good.

Came in at a Friday afternoon and was seated right away. Parking could be hard to find. Were handed plenty of appetizers, chips and SALSAANDCHEESEDIPS! The dips were awesome and delicious but the chips weren’t the best but do-able. Shrimp Enchilada was amazing according to my boyfriend’s dad. I didn’t enjoy the enchilada de mole plate in which I never tried before. The sauce was not my favorite. My boyfriend and his mom got the chicken fajita in which they both enjoyed but mentioned did not top their favorite restaurant, as in it’s not the best. But still, pretty good. The $ 6 mud pie was smaller than expected but was tasty! For the size, don’t think it was worth it personally. Service. by far one of the most accomodating, hospitable, caring and downright awesome service I’ve experienced in a long while. Server took the extra mile to make sure we liked our dish. And kept his word when it came to talking to the chef and coming back with answers. Most of the times servers wouldnt give a flying crap! Service here is THEBEST! I didn’t catch his name, but a tall gentleman with brownish hair, you are the best server I’ve met! Overall, this is a GOOD mexican restaurant. It’s not the best, but for the portion and price, I think it’s worth to try.

Really enjoyed this place. Food was great, service was great, price was more than reasonable. Mexican beef stew, Pollo asado, and shredded pork, beans were great. The white sauce was off the hook, even though I am not sure what it was. Would go back again if I was in Coronado.

If you’re staying at the Hotel Del, this is the place to go for a good hearty breakfast. Ignore the rest of the places on the street. Hypes: — Chips and queso — at 8am or 8pm — you can’t go wrong with that warm oozy queso to get that day started — coffee — always brewed fresh and hot — and you get topped off when running low in that cup — Shrimp enchiladas — yes, i know, its for dinner but seriously i had it for breakfast and it was delicious — Coconut french toast — delicioso. seriously, whoever thought to mix the flavor of coconut with fresh strawberries and syrup was genius — All the food was good. Chilaquiles con huevos were delicious, but with the chips that come out my be chips overload. and the chorizo potatoes that come with the dishes are great Gripes: — none. If you’re expecting authentic food this isn’t it, you’d have to drive down south for that, but this is definitely a cute spot to hit up.

My mom and I stopped by Miguelito’s while spending the day in Coronado and had a great experience. The patio is shaded by a bunch of trees, and you’re not exposed to the noise of the busy street like some of the other restaurants nearby. The queso blanco/red salsa combination is also something you don’t see at every Mexican restaurant. We split a carne asada plate, which was plenty enough for the both of us!

Me and a girlfriend got here early on Labor Day Monday morning. My girlfriend took me here because she’s been here before and wanted me to try it out. It’s such a cute little spot. We sat outdoors on the sidewalk. We had very courteous servers. Our main server’s name was Jorge. We had different gentlemen helping us throughout our breakfast too(didn’t get their names). Refilling our drinks/water, serving our food and collecting our plates, etc. My girlfriend recommended the sangria and the fish tacos. We ordered their red sangria. Had about 2 rounds each. It’s very tasty and refreshing. We ordered 2 plates of the fish tacos. It comes with 2 fish tacos, beans and rice. The fish tacos were definitely good. I wish I had asked for some hot sauce. I think that would’ve made them more enjoyable. We parked in a parking lot on the side of the building but there is also paid meter parking on the street.

Amazing service & food! Robert was our server. Very attentive, friendly, and helpful in describing the menu and answering any questions we had. This place blew all my expectations out the water. The food is nothing like I have ever tasted before. The chips and salsa are amazing especially their special white sauce?! Whatever is in it… It’s addicting! Robert explained to us what was popular there and my boyfriend and I ended up changing our minds and going with what he suggested. What we ordered: –Fish Tacos –Shrimp Enchiladas OMG. The shrimp enchiladas are amazing!!! What got me was the same white sauce they gave us for the chips and salsa. My enchiladas were drenched in that white creamy sauce and were filled with shrimp! They definitely don’t skimp out on seafood here! My boyfriend enjoyed his fish tacos. Everything was just delicious. Definitely get the fish tacos or shrimp enchiladas plate. It will not disappoint. I promise! Will be coming back whenever we’re back in town!

I always judge a Mexican food place first by its chips and salsa and these guys hit a home run. Chips were warm and salted perfectly. Salsa was very good(could have been a bit spicier) but the also served this nacho green sauce I’ve never had anywhere else that was outstanding. I ordered the Ensenada shrimp tacos and my wife ordered the classic fish tacos and we swapped one of each. Both very good though I needed a bit more acid or spice on mine, even after using the one like they gave me and their salsa. Couldn’t quite give it a 5 because it cost $ 7.50 for a quesadilla with a drink off kids menu. And the waitress refilled my soda with no ice twice, once after pouting it out. Overall fun environment, unbeatable location and very good food. I’d go back just for chips and salsa!

I am so confused… Is Miguel’s the same as Miguelito’s? We walked from Hotel del Coronado. When we walked onto Adella Ave, on the left hand side, we saw the awnings for a Mexican place, but the awnings had Miguel’s to go written on them. We walked in(I think it’s also called Miguelito’s?) and the place was packed for a Thursday night at 8:30. The hostess said they didn’t have seats available in this dining area, but said the other dining area did, so she lead us to an outside patio area closer to Brigatine’s. In which we liked this atmosphere better because it was more quiet and relaxed. Once we got seated, we were brought chips, salsa, and their famous white sauce(yum!) We ordered: — skinny marg –blended mango marg — original fish tacos, no beans double rice($ 11) — swordfish tacos($ 13.50) My original fish tacos were alright, a bit too saucy for my liking, they put ranch on it. I swear my blended mango margarita had no alcohol in it! I’m Asian, I get the Asian glow pretty much instantly when I drink alcohol, in which nothing happened when I drank this marg! I know when there is alcohol in my system, even when it’s a teensy bit. I’ve been to the Miguel’s in Carlsbad before, so I pretty much knew what to expect from this place. It was ok.
