Starbucks

The staff are friendly and the location is terrific. My main gripe is that they close one of the two restrooms during the busy weekend times so that they don’t have to clean as much, (said one barista). This creates long waits for customers. And they don’t do a great job keeping the single open restroom clean either.

OK, I had to post about this Starbucks after the experience my mom and I just had. After reading the other reviewers, I feel justified in doing so, knowing that I’m not just a picky customer. That same girl who someone else posted a picture of (Breanna?) gave us so much attitude after we waited 20 minutes and let her know we think our order was forgotten. She insisted we were wrong and that there was just a long line of people but when she later realized (after 10 more minutes) that our iced teas had, in fact, been overlooked and wrongly made, she didn’t even acknowledge the error, much less apologize for being so rude to us when we first (feebly) mentioned the possibility of a mistake. I live in SD so the whole bad attitude vibe that is going on there against ‘tourists” is lame. Enough said. I think I’ll e-​mail corporate (which I never do, BTW).

I have been going to this Starbucks for years, NO MORE!!! The customer service, is HORRIBLE! I’ve been to other starbucks all over the county that have the same number of staff present and they’re fine. They don’t have people at the registers, they have people running around doing god knows what, but NOT helping customers. I understand that if they are packed and they’re busy. But, I’ve been in there, like today, with three people in line and you still can’t get anyone to help you.

THEY clean the store when customers are in the store no worry about dust inhalation or food exposure to dirty dusting I have no clue why the health department is not involved yet.
the manager use foul language about having to come next morning at 5 am and used the f word loudly in front of all the store customers.
hope they have cameras in the store it will tell more than I can describe.

Rude and worst service of any Starbucks. I have refrained many times from writing a poor review because I live here in Coronado and didn’t want to speak poorly of my local Starbucks but today Im done pretending.
Ordered a drip coffee and water BC I was in hurry. Got my coffee immediately and gave a dollar tip on a $ 2.25 coffee. Then patiently waited over 10 min for water.
When they started giving the people BEHIND me in line their complicated drinks I politely inquired from the girl wearing glasses making drinks (6 people back there working) if they had perhaps forgotten my water. Her reply «nope, it’s in the line». I waited while they gave THREE more people behind me in line their drinks!
Then I asked again and told her it was NOT in line when everyone behind me in line were getting their drinks. She still refused to give me the water.
I finally had to get manager who went and got water and gave me a half hearted «sorry»…never made eye contact, no sincere apology, no explanation and apparently was fine with the rude barista.
If you don’t want to give me water with my coffee just say so, and I’ll keep my dollar tip too.
My advice as a local: Go to the coffee cart outside Bay Books or Clayton’s walk up window across the street. This Starbucks should not be on Coronado. And the best part was the bottom of my cup was filled with Grinds. They need new management and several new employees. If you care enough to check the roster which I doubt, its 8am April 12.

You would think that Coronado would have at least a clean Starbucks… It’s 0530 too early for a mess.

I love coming to this Starbucks! Yes, sometimes there is a long wait… let’s face it this is an island somewhat with a lot of people! The staff are always friendly and I haven’t had a mess up yet. Sierra helped me at the counter and she was very courteous and smiled. Love this location!

I have been a Starbucks customer for years. I have a Starbucks app, I buy gift cards for clients and I also enjoyed drinking my coffee in the morning. You can say I’m a Starbucks fan.
But let me tell you about this branch in Coronado, the customer service is really poor. The employees at night don’t smile and looked at you with a mean face while asking you question.
Really? Who trained these employees on customer service. The cashier tonight
was Alisha. She didn’t even smile while asking, «Can I help you?» with a dead stare… I thought she was pissed at me and I just walked in the store.
I know it’s a tourist spot but really?
Here is tip: if you don’t like your job as a barista; then don’t work there.
You give that good brand name a disservice.

I’ve had the best experience at this location.
Sierra made my coffee like no one has ever made it before ! She got it right which is rare. I felt welcomed as soon at I walked up to the register! Thank you Sierra, will definitely be returning.
Anyone going to this location go straight to Sierra!

Worst experience at a Starbucks ever ! The coffee tastes burnt, customer service was horrible and the floor was covered in food as well as the counter tops where your supposed to be able to set your coffee and put creamer in it! Yuck! Not the cozy Starbucks that you normally go to!

My expectation that every Starbucks in the US would be friendly and have great service was shattered on visiting here. Given the amazing location I had expected the best of the best here but unfortunately the service was slow, people were served out of turn and the place urgently needed a good clean,

I hope Corporate Starbucks is aware of how this location is destroying their brand in a VERY VISIBLE LOCATION. Prior posts save me posting pictures of the FILTH in this store.
The service is just slightly worse than the cleanliness.
This is NOT a Starbucks.
Supervisor on site (2 pm 9÷26÷15) was unapologetic, apathetic and rude.
But so was the entire staff. So her leadership is obviously having its desired effect.
Glad I didn’t order food can’t imagine the overall behind the counter cleanliness.
After 15 minutes I got to watch my drink being made so I was fairly certain my Drink was sanitary.

This is pretty much bigger than your normal Starbucks but like some say, the lines are long. They kind of drag on actually. But employees are nice.

Came here today and it was just like any typical Starbucks. It actually had a cool opening that lets the sun in which is cool. The service though wasn’t that great. The people behind the counter didn’t seem too happy and I could tell they wanted to be anywhere, but here. I wasn’t too impressed by my iced caramel macchiato, but by the time I realized it wasn’t that great I was several blocks down already. Overall, place looks great, but the service could have used some work!

Working in Coronado, this is the closest Starbucks by my work with it only being a 5 minutes walk. Came here during my lunch a little bit before 1pm and there was a line. Thought it was gonna take a while but surprisingly, it went by really fast. The workers were really good and fast at taking orders and they were nice despite the busyness. This Starbucks is probably the biggest and most spacey I have been to. Great indoor and outdoor space with free WI-​fi as long as you log in which was very convenient and quick and easy to access. Definitely plan on coming back here again to satisfy my Starbucks needs. The only thing I don’t like are their over priced food but still good and healthy with great new frappé flavors. I got the coconut mocha and it was delicious! Can’t wait to try more new ones.

Organized, clean and pretty :) it was pretty big for a regular Starbucks store! Okay service, bartender was a bit rushed on our orders even though there was no line. A nice place to hang out with friends!

Not a bad Starbucks, but you have to be ready for lines, because I have to admit this was one of the most busiest Starbucks I have visited. I stopped in for some hot tea, a snack, and to get some work done via their WiFi. I ordered a green herbal tea and a Mountain Berry Bar. I asked them to acquire me a new Mountain Berry Bar from the back because the one in the display had a stand sitting on top of it. Actually, the whole counter could of used some tightening up. It looked like they go slammed hard.
The tea arrived popping hot and was good. I had to let it sit for a bit before I started to enjoy it. It was typical in flavor with a nice relaxing and soothing flavor. The Mountain Berry Bar made from Acai Berries was good too. The little buttery crumble on top was nice and the berry inside was silky and sweet. The bar went well with the hot tea.
Although the lines were long, the employees kept things moving along. It got a little crazy at times, figuring out what belong to who, but in the end it all worked out. This location has a lot of seating inside, including a large communal table and a few tables out in front.

Of all the Starbucks I visit this one is consistently awful! They don’t know how to make an iced latte. Every drink I’ve had here is made wrong.
Save your money and go somewhere else. The girl making the drinks is rude and thinks she knows better. She needs a review of her Starbucks drink manual as well as some customer service skills.

Arrived at Starbucks and we were prompty greeted. I ordered a peach tea. It was delicious! This place is spacious and you do not feel cramped here. This Starbucks is clean, even the bathroom. Parking was good. I would definitely recommend this place!

Rude employees. Well not rude more like snobby.
First off… You work at Starbucks making min. Wage +tip! Okay maybe .50cents more than min wage but who are you to think you’re too good to be taking my order…
What if I wanted to reload my card & do two separate transactions so I can earn 2 stars?!! I deserve 2 stars if I’m paying 5 $ for a 1 $ pastry and 5 $ for ice (ice coffee but they put more ice than coffee). Yes! I deserve my 2 stars.
Anyways they’re always busy. Sometimes friendly sometimes snobby.
They need more tables and chairs. And customer service training.
