Excellent salt & pepper wings, decent pizza, & an amazing beer selection. You order at the counter, pick out your beverage, & have a seat. You don’t pay until the end as you are leaving. It was fun to visit this place bc it was my hubs hang out when he was in flight training. Will be back again for sure.

Four stars and a half — for the crisp-skinned, un-breaded salt and pepper wings I grew to love and miss in a friendly, laid-back atmosphere where you can have just one or sit back and tie one on in good company. It’s easy to see how this little place is the watering hole of choice for many of my former colleagues at CCAD. With ample floor space, this place can accommodate parties large and small — casually welcoming even crowds of 40 – 60 dropping in for a pint. Bar service is ultra-friendly and professional, pouring a rotating list of lager, ale, Pilsner, IPA, & stout on tap. Patrons are laid back and hospitable and have offered me food and conversation on multiple occasions. The menu has sandwiches, wings, and pizza. My favorite is the double crispy salt and pepper wings. Mmmmm. Who needs sauce; these are cooked just right with no breading! I love the pepperoni and mushroom and find that it has the perfect balance of cheese and tomato sauce, topped with plentiful pepperoni and shroomage, and the absolute perfect amount of crust(crunchy, but not too crispy)! When I left Corpus Christi to return to the DC area, my friends held a going-away party here for me. We started at the bar and spilled over into the dining area with no reservation or anything. The staff really were amazing and took excellent care of our loud, rowdy, inebriated bunch with grace and style! I highly recommend B&Js for big groups – it’s friendly, personable, and just loud enough where you can cut loose with a crowd but not enough of a roar to be off-putting. Like the old TV show«Cheers», B&J’s is the kind of place where everybody knows your name. Helpful hint: This is a beer place. Come planning to drink beer. The bar serves only draught and bottled beer and tiny bottles of Barefoot wine. No spirits.

Good pizza and open late. When you have had a couple and want a few more with your pizza this is the place to go!

Very cool place with a huge beer selection. Pizza was good, meatball sandwich average. I tried a hefeweiss beer(German), it tasted old, so I moved on to a traditional beer(dos xx) and all was good. We all enjoyed ourselves

I ordered the 8 inch pizza lunch special with a tea. As I waited for my food, I began to survey the room. On the wall is a mesh mash of pin ups. In the back there is a collection of money bills from around Europe. They also carry a huge assortment of beers. My order came in less than 20 min. the pizza itself was very tasty, very crisp. all in all the the restaurant has very rustic feel to it.

Looking forward to this place based on the fact that the one on spid had all kinds of awards. But, the pizza was burnt. When we took it back up they argued and said that it wasn’t burnt and that the machine puts it out that way and they couldn’t fix it. Plus all I wanted was sausage on my half and there was nothing but cheese. So they refunded the big pizza and redid a smaller pizza with the sausage and they DID manage not to burn it. So good luck.

great wings and solid pizza, always fresh, and a but pricey with few specials, and no military discount. good size place and workers are very nice and quick to bring ur food out while fresh from the oven.

I couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars for this place, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Pros: The pizza was amazing, and my hungry table of 4 easily split a large. Much better food than the typical take-out chain. While the bar is available, the additional beer selection is pretty awesome. They have 3 TVs, and the bartender put the game we requested on 2 of them(Go Spurs Go). Cons: The girl in the back was spreading dough and adding toppings without gloves on, and the place wasn’t very clean. I don’t mind a little grunge if the food is good, but I wouldn’t bring some of my pickier friends here.

Great staff and excellent food! Tons of craft beers both bottle and tap, and the bartenders are always happy to talk beer with you, let you sample the tap beers, and are just generally friendly folks. Great place to hang out with friends for drinks or have a really good(slightly more expensive) pizza. I recommend the wings– cracked black pepper and sea salt with the Jack’s sauce– probably the best wings in Corpus!

Best pizza and wings in town. Great beer selection, which includes many draft choices. Staff is fun and easy going while still paying attention to all patrons. Bathrooms are clean, but need minor repairs. Bar area is open, but looks like a small construction project remains unfinished.

So I came in based on prior reviews and was disappointed. Never again, STAYAWAY. The place: It’s a big place with a good location but the interior needs a ton of work. Dirty, run down, sticky floors and tables. You get the gist of it. The service: you have to order up front(which doesn’t stand out unless u look for it, a small register in the back corner in the open kitchen) After I figured out more or less what we wanted I approached to order and had to wait for the 4 – 5 people in the kitchen to finish their conversation 4 feet away before one decided to take the order. Needless to say it was with an attitude as if they were doing me a favor and to top it all off it was way more expensive than anywhere else in town. The food/drinks: 1 pepperoni/mushroom pizza in an empty restaurant took close to 40 minutes. It was ok, looked good but flavor wise had absolutely nothing special. The $ 5 pizza at little caesars is 10x better, faster, and cheaper. They have a big beer selection but it’s marked up and the craft brew they have was ‘meh’ at best.

Best pizza in Corpus. Beer they brew isn’t the best but okay. Customer service is a little lacking as the people at the register and taking orders usually have a bad attitude. Bar tenders are awesome and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed

Large selection of beers. A bit pricey though. Pizzas are awesome. Salt and pepper wings, extra crispy. Yes please. Service is great. Bartenders take pride in getting to know their customers.

They have a decent craft beer selection. However the pizza is very generic. You can buy the same quality pizza from the frozen food aisle at the grocery store. I really wanted it to be good but it simply wasn’t. I will continue to return only for the craft beer selection and I’ll just eat before coming.

Best pizza in town! Great selection of beer. Be warned there are no liquor mixed drinks here, only wine and beer. My only vice is there is only one person working the register other than that its very fast and great service every time!

Overpriced Bartenders are eh. No WiFi? What’s up we’re paying enough. Food is great though. 45 – 50 minute wait on Fridays and Saturdays. I really enjoy the music and atmosphere. Garza’s alright.

Two years ago when we came to visit the family in Corpus we ate here. It was delicious then and we had to have it again. I love the pizza, and the wings are fingerlicking good. I recommend to order the pizza crispy! The crust is pretty thin and cooks with the perfect crisp. The cheese, sauce, toppings all just have the right flavors to make each bite yum!!! When they bring it out to you they place it on a high pizza tray in the center of the table for everyone to reach. Now the wings are made extra crispy which leaves the skin with a crunch and it is flavored perfectly. My favorite are the salt and pepper wings! The size of them is also fairly large and they are meaty. I like mine with a side of ranch. So many beers to choose from! They have a cooler full of different bottles and a bar with about 15 or so on tap. I tried the local beer Lazy Beach and liked it! It’s like a Heff similar to Blue Moon. The do or in the place is enjoyable. So much to look at and they have tvs with sports going. I am definitely a fan and this will be one of my go to spots anytime in Corpus Christi Texas!

What happened!!! Driving up from Staple’s street I observed that there was new VERYUGLY ‘brew pub’ sign that matched absolutely no décor on the building or anything in the area. But, I can live with that. What really ruined our experience was a, filthy, busted, graffiti upped bathroom… filthy! Leading to that FILTHY bathroom was an even filthier, scummy hallway. There was black greasy buildup along the floor area against the baseboards. No ice in the self serve ice machine during prime time dinner hours. I commented/asked an employee about how the place was running down, his comment was, EVERYTHING was that way. Apparently the owners are now operating on(a soon to be soiled) Reputation and beer sales. Ah well when it closes down, CC will get yer another Mexican restaurant.

We don’t often eat at too many pizza places. It’s so hard for us to agree on toppings, sizes, …number of slices I can eat… B&J’s is one of those kinds of places you don’t just go to for yourself or with just one other person. You go in a GROUP. There should be at least four people at your table and you should order no less than a 16-inch«Jack’s Special» pizza(pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, onions and DOUBLEGARLIC! — WOW!!) with a matching order of chicken wings. The pizzas are excellent! I had a slice of Jack’s, one of the«California Vegetarian,» one of a cheese and double jalapeño(WHOA!) and one of the«B&J’s Special.» The crust is crispy, the toppings are fresh, the tomato sauce is just right as far as quantity on the pie. …oh, yeah, there were about 16 of us in a group… While the service for ordering and getting the pizzas was quite good, the service at the beer bar was INCREDIBLY slow! There was ONE guy behind the bar and he was clearly overwhelmed — it was a busy Saturday night. All I wanted was two of those«pony» bottles of Cabernet; no beer, nothing fancy. My pizza got COLD while I was up there waiting to get the drinks. That’s the only thing that keeps this from being a 5-star review. Prices are good. Noise levels are quite up there so be prepared for that. But, again, you’re with a group, 1001 different kinds of beer flowing, hot pizza and wings on the table. Kick back and enjoy the good times. We did.
