The only thing I like to eat here is banana pudding, because that’s the only thing good. Anyone Who knows good Bbq knows this Bbq is not good.

They always have good grub. This location is good about helping you pack your grub to take to the beach. Woo hoo!

Coming from Ohio, I was so excited to have some Texas BBQ. A local recommended that I come here and I obliged. Staff was very courteous and nice. I got the brisket sandwich which was good, nice smoke ring and nice flavor. BBQ sauce was tasty. My only issue with this place was the sides, there are not a a lot of hot sides. When I get BBQ I want mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, fried or cornbread. They didn’t really have much to choose from. I went with the beans which were decent and the potato salad which was decent as well. Overall a decent place!

Always 5 stars from me and my family! Great food and wonderful service with a smile each and every time! Getting some food to go tonight for the family. We love the spicy chopped brisket sandwich and cream corn is amazing.

Food: 4.0÷5.0 Service: 3.0÷5.0 Value: 4.0÷5.0 Décor: 2.5÷5.0 Overall: 4.0÷5.0 Rudy’s is like crack for those who live outside the BBQ-rich south. Sure it’s not the«best» BBQ around, but that’s like saying McDonalds isn’t the best burger ever … who cares? It’s always good(I’ve been to no less than five different locations at this point, and some multiple times), and the price is a-ok. The moist brisket, turkey, and jalapeño sausage are the real deal here, but the ribs are so so.(Sorry Texas, but for real ribs, try St. Louis and/or Memphis.) PS Actually, Rudy’s is more like In n Out than McDonalds.

I love Rudy’s BBQ and this location had a very friendly staff. My cashier, August was very funny and took my order quickly. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and baby back ribs. Sweet tea is a awesome pair and don’t be afraid of the BBQ sauce. You have to try the cream corn.

Yummy bbq! Sat night other restaurant waits were 45 min. We decided just to get bbq. Food was very good. Love the down home, no frills atmosphere. Staff was friendly & helpful.

Pass on the babyback ribs. They were not cooked completely… meaning they were cooked enough to not be raw but still had lots of grissle and fat. I’ve had WAY better ribs than this! Rudy’s is no Blacks BBQ or Salt Lick… not by a mile! The brisket was good but nothing special. The beans were very good and the prize was the green chile stew! If it wasn’t for the green chile stew it would have been a 1 star rating. The menu is somewhat confusing where you feel compelled to order a ½ pound of each item. After questioning the clerk he admitted I could order ¼ pounds as well. Two meats, two sides and a beer was $ 26.00. The sauces and spices they sell are first rate. Seems as though when a small idea becomes a chain, they lose their way.

My name is Israel and I’m a bbq-holic…lol. This past Sunday was my 4th Sunday coming here for my bbq fix. My family and I really enjoy the quality of their brisket(which I added to my baked potatoe) and the cream corn is crazy good too! Keep up the great work fellas!

I tend to avoid chain BBQ. Nothing is less authentic than a cookie cutter chain. But Rudy’s… they do a fine good job of making you forget that you are actually at a chain location. The moist brisket is insanely good! The true to Texas style cafeteria pay by the pound lay out, reminds you, you might be at a chain, but you are at the best darn chain in Texas.

Not impressed. We ordered Baby Back Ribs that turned out dry and with very little meat on the bone. Other Rudys visits in Waco and Dallas/Fort Worth have been moderately better, but the experience today was poor all the way around. Last time to visit, on to the next one.

Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ features unpretentious, mouth-wateringly delicious, affordable brisket, pulled pork and jalapeño sausage link served homestyle with pickles, onions, and peppers over butcher paper with plastic cutlery in a very casual, family-friendly setting. Patrons walk through a wooden corral past coolers of glass-bottled drinks(Mexican Cocacola, sweetened with REAL sugar, etc), adult libations, and refrigerated sides and«fixins» like house-made pudding, slaw, potato salad, or Rudy’s three bean salad to a broad counter where smiling teens wearing t-shirts with carnivorous slogans(e.g.“I didn’t claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables”) chop brisket, cut hot links, and ladle out steaming portions of green chile stew while proffering free slices of thick cut, spongy white or wheat bread to mop it all up. Trust me, you want to try the stew! Self serve fountain drink stations flank the back wall and a stainless steel island features raw white onions, spicy carrots, and pickled jalapeños to add the perfect zest to the meal. The barbecue sauce(spelled«sause» for good measure) is quite nice and comes in two main varieties– one purportedly for sissies and the other presumably for the rest of the BBQ eating public. Both have their perks, the latter pairing better with spicy link IMHO and the former partnering well with pulled pork and a crisp chunk of onion. I always eat way too much at Rudy’s; the siren song of pounds of succulent charred meat doused in piquant sauce and paired with crunchy giardiniera is impossible to resist! It’s well worth an extra hour on the elliptical to celebrate my position as an apex land predator. Just don’t forget to clean up after yourself before you leave – as the sign says, «your mamma don’t work here».
