Skip the other fast food Tex-​Mex. Love the tacos! Smaller dining area and restrooms are behind building but don’t let that scare you off. When using the drive thru, check order.

Really cramped dining area. Food is alright but I thought because of all of the raves and rants that it would be better. Tell them to take it easy on the black olives too. Sorry guys, I don’t know what all the fuss is about. For that I give you 2 stars.

I’m sorry, but I thought this place was awful. I’ve tried twice. It has a cult following in Corsicana, and I didn’t drink the Kool-​aid. When I eat out, I want something I can’t or won’t cook at home. The food here taste like something a college kid threw together. No bueno.

I just wanted to let everyone know if you’ve read my previous post that the service here is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They will short you tacos then when you ask to speak with the manager I was treated like dirt, AND they would not give me any kind of number to speak with the owner. I was told «I don’t know who the owner is» and this guy had been there for years, I had seen his greasy face several times
After I was treated so horrible, I contacted Taco Casa restaurant and lobbied for them to build one in Corsicana PLEASE, after a couple of months of writing them, a lady wrote me back and told me they were going to be opening one by July 2012, WELL, they have broke ground and they are a little behind schedule, but they should be open by the fall now, this is what happens when you screw over a motivated customer. I hope EVERYONE READS THIS, and learns this is NOT the place to go and spend hard earned money and be shorted your food, so you can then be treated like dirt instead of them making it right

A staple of Corsicana for around 40 years. Awesomeness!

I’m giving this place three stars because if you have ever lived in corsicana you can appreciate the hometown feel of a cheap place to go that isn’t another tacobell or bueno. The food is so horribly good it’s crazy. That’s the main appeal of this place. We all know it isn’t good for you, but we go for it anyways. It’s the nasty food you love to enjoy! So in that respect they did a pretty good job. The thing that always gets me is how unclean this place always is!

This taco joint is a Corsicana staple. I have never really understood the appeal of the food. Other than being cheap it is very forgetable. Slightly better than taco bell, but not much.

Many people think that Taco Shop is bland. Maybe it is. Maybe that’s why I love it. I don’t know.
At any rate, this turquoise gem is one of the only good things about Corsicana. Sure, it’s fast food tex mex, and sure, their restrooms are on the outside of the building and look creepy, but you’re not there to use the restroom. You’re there to order cheap, delicious food. They have all of the normal stuff — enchiladas, tamales, burritos, tacos, nachos, taco salad, etc. Their sweet tea is very sweet, and so is their Dr. Pepper. This is a good thing. Cheat on your diet and give the DP a try. ;)
I used to love going there after school when I was in high school. Bean burritos all the way. Sometimes with extra cheese. Depending on who’s making the food, they sometimes skimp on the cheese in the burritos. Just saying. If you’re feeling adventurous, add tomatoes and sour cream to your bean burrito. Yum.
If you’re a fan of your cheese nachos getting soggy (like I am!), make sure you ask them to put the cheese on top. Otherwise, it will come in a cup beside the nachos. :(
The employees at the drive-​thru window are generally nice and polite, and the food is in fact fast. When you go inside to order, you get free drink refills (or at least that used to be the case; I haven’t been inside in years). Just take your cup up to the food pickup area and ask for a refill. They may or may not mind, but they will do it. :P
Oh. and they recently added an outdoor seating area. Interesting.
