Used to be a good customer but the last 3 times I’ve been there, I’ve had to return to get fuzz removed from under the glass. This last time will be my last. I had to return twice to have the work cleaned up and Cobb even completely did the work wrong. So lame. will never return.

The best framer I know. Yes, the shop is full of stuff, but Cobb know where to find everything and he has a brilliant eye. His suggestions are excellent and frequently quite surprising.

Stood outside +10 minutes, no space inside, waiting to be served. Owner did have a customer with him but there was no acknowledgment. Maybe he is satisfied with the amount of business he handles, strange indeed. I will try elsewhere

My friend Gladys Perint Palmer tells me this is the best framer she has ever found! Cobb Blake has the best eye!

I have used Cobb at Ragged Sailor for stretching 7 or 8 oil paintings. GREAT work, fast, high quality, easy to work with. This is THE place to go for stretching(and I’m sure framing too) in Marin. A+.

Cobb has probably framed 30 – 40 pictures for me over the course for 20 years. I’ve not once ever had an issue — his work is the best. Years ago, my mother urged me to try Cheap Pete’s. OMG — half the quality and actually more expensive than TRS. Cobb also has great suggestions, color knowledge, etc., etc. I send all my friends here.

Probably the best framing experience I’ve had… but that ain’t many. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend coming to the North Bay to get your framing done here. We live in the South Bay now, but I will always make the trek north to take advantage of this tip-top service.

**BEADVISED. THERAGGEDSAILORHASMOVEDTOCORTEMADERA** …but why would you come here anyway? I’m kidding. I actually used to work here while I was doing my undergrad at the Academy of Art in Frisco and because I was partly responsible for the quality of work that came out of this place and I will say that the work done here is phenomenal. I’ve worked for Aaron Brothers and Borders and I can say, without a doubt, that this is the best supplied and most knowledgeable frame shop in the area. Cobb has over 30 years of experience and an enthusiastic attitude about the job. He gives a no BS assessment on framing your work. Other than framing there’s plenty in the shop to look at and purchase. Ready made frames, statues, vintage photos and more. It’s a new location, but still the same atmosphere. This guy is an excellent framer. He obviously knows what he’s doing, and his experience and attention to detail are evident. He always provides good recommendations for frame styles and finishes, as well as matte size and color. He’s my go-to guy when I need something framed.
