I have skiied all over the planet but for health reasons stopped for 30 yrs. Returning to the sport at Greek Peak was the best experience I could have had. Everyone on the staff was cordial, positive and professional. The Ski School Supervisor was very helpful, our Instructor Dave was best of the best, the Equipment Expert John was very knowledeable and the Lift Attendant who lifted me after a wipeout leaving the lift was great as was everyone I met there. The rental equipment there is high quality and in amazinglygood condition .The slopes were challenging enough and well-maintained, the accommodations were outstanding. The outdoor heated pool was the best and who could beat the indoor waterpark. Not the fast-lane, aggressive crowd there –just an incredible group of dedicated professional experienced staff members doing an excellent job for all of us! If you are looking to get hammerred drunk and rowdy and rude– this isnt for you. But if you want great snowboarding, great skiing, great food and great people– go to GP. GPTEAM: Thanks for the BESTBDAY ever.

Had a great time skiing here. The conditions weren’t ideal but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Will definitely be coming back.

A great ski resort that will be much better in the near future. If they do what they said, they will get my 5th star. It is typical East Coast skiing(which hardly ever qualifies for 3 stars), but it comes with. More lifts than the usual ski resort, they also built in a number of glades, sneak-routes, and moguls that make this interesting for those easily bored by blue runs. I hope they will build the detachable quad and the mountain-top lodge soon. The base also needs to shake off its 1970s appeal. Most important at Greek Peak is the staff. I have never found a team of more friendly people. They have been working in the ski area for years, even decades. They are not seasonal hired hands and it shows in their pride and dedication.

Great ski hill considering it’s only 5 hour drive from DC area. Skis like a much bigger hill, lots of glades and areas to go off trail if there is enough snow. Several nice wide trails for beginners and intermediates too. Lift tickets are quite cheap, about $ 60 for a full day, which includes night skiing, or cheaper if you skip the night skiing and with discounts for multi day passes. They have a season pass deal for $ 299 if you get it before 4⁄15 the spring before the season starts. Dining options on site are pretty bad, food was rough, and the prices were pretty steep considering the quality. I will be bringing a picnic next time for sure! Check out the 3 Bear Inn for dinner if you want some better food close to the slopes, or need a cheap basic room for the night.
