A-1 Charlies Towing and Recovery

I cannot thank these guys enough. Locked out of the car with our phones and wallet in it, walked to the police station to use the phone and was referred the Charlie’s. Guy showed up, popped open car, we paid, no questions asked. Didn’t talk much, best rates I’ve ever seen in my whole life, and I’m so happy. Will absolutely keep this number on hand, my new go to tow truck. 100 000% recommend.

CAUTION TO THE WISE; DO NOT USE A COMPANY WHO TREATS DRIVERS LIKE THIS:
Dear Charlie’s Towing,
Tonight, on my drive home from work, i was quietly following a tow truck, giving ADEQUATE space and not giving any reason you might believe I was following too closely or say, wanted to pass you. However, you then began flashing your backwards light at me… BLINDING me in the road… driving in the middle of the road and «brake checking» me (even tho i was several hundred yards away from you). That tow truck happened to be YOU. Im not sure if you know this… but you are driving a very PUBLIC vehicle; with your phone number and company name written ALL over it. Im also not sure if you know this, but word of mouth is the best way to get business and due to your complete lack of sensibility, driving extremely agressively and DANGEROUS while your supposed to be a safe tow-​truck driver, and your utter disrespect for other drivers on the road… you will NEVER be getting mine, or any of my friends business, if i have anything to do about it.
I sincerely hope you take this into consideration next time you blind someone while driving, after they have just worked a twelve hour shift at a hospital saving, most likely, your friends and family lives.

Our car died in downtown Corvallis. We thought it might be the starter so called for a tow. After looking more closely we realized it might just be a bad battery. We were told it would be 30 minutes for the truck, so called John (The contact we were given at the tow company) to let him know we were just going to try to get a friend to come and jump us hoping that was the problem, and didn’t want him wasting a trip. John was only 5 minutes out, so he came anyways, was able to give us a jump, and then offered to follow us a ways home to make sure nothing else came up. Great service and we really appreciated the help!

Dispatch was efficient and confirmed towing/​lock out service would be on location within 15 min. Sure enough truck was there within 10 min and assisted with a quick and professional lock out service on my Mustang. He was clearly a professional who knew exactly what to do even though the «book» showed another method. I am extremely grateful for the timely service and quick direct billing to my insurance company. I am happy to recommend this company so anyone. Hopefully I won’t need the service again myself!

My truck got stuck in snow in a parking lot and I called Charlie’s for a tow. The man on the phone was pretty rude and sounded incredibly inconvenienced, which I only sort of understand – I’m sure they’re swamped when it snows, but they’re getting paid. That’s not the reason for the bad review, though. I was told it would be a couple of hours, and I said that was fine. 3.5 hours later, I called to check the status. They now said it would be the next day, couldn’t get out to me tonight after all. Since I was just sitting there waiting, that would have been nice to know. I called another shop and had someone out to tow me 30 minutes later. Definitely can’t recommend these guys, unless maybe it’s not snowy. They’re probably (maybe?) all right when it’s not too busy.

When I called Subaru Roadside Assistance, they sent Charlie’s Towing to check out my flat tire.
The technician showed up at my office 15 minutes after I placed the call (estimate was 45 minutes) and he filled up the tire with air before even coming to find me. He was so kind, so professional and so prompt! He recommended I take the tire to be patched instead of having him change to the undersized spare and gave me some good options for service centers.
I highly recommend this wonderful company!
