This place is horrible. Very little parking and they don’t carry any youth clothing! After driving 3hrs to Corvallis and needing some warm gear for a soccer game I was highly disappointed in this place. Worst Fred Meyers ever!

Want to thank the gentleman in the photo department for all the help he gave me. Have been several other places and no one could help me with some prints from my disc. He went over and beyond to make sure that I had what I needed and even walked me through the process with great patience. In no time, I came out with 25×7 and the small prints he adjusted for me for under $ 2.00. Thank you very much. My photos are all nicely framed.

This is for the pharmacy: I have yet to have a bad experience. They always fill scrips in a timely manner, will call to notify you it’s ready… which is especially helpful when the meds often make you forget. Their service is kind and respectful and helpful. They even contacted rite aid for me since rite aid was impossible to deal with and would not give me my scrip back when they couldn’t fill it. I never have to worry when I fill a scrip here which is a huge relief. It’s a small corner of the store and their hours are typically long to make a pick up time easier. There is a very small waiting area but I’ve never seen a need for it. They even have a walk up window outside with pharmacy parking, but no drive through. Hands down my go to pharmacy.

Fred Meyer is a newly updated general store. It has changed over the years. The supermarket and video game sections are fancier, and there is now an upstairs Starbucks. It’s cleaned up over the years. It’s a good place to find everyday clothes, and there’s a pharmacy. It’s a one stop shop.

I love Fred Meyers and the employee’s at the Corvallis location are great but I have definitely had my share of complaints over the years. One problem is the lack of selection, they do not even sell newborn diapers for Christ sake! I have also had two different instances where I found mold in my food. The first time was inside packaged ravioli and most recently was finding small green worms in my organic ears of corn. Both times, the employees did not seem concerned with removing the items off the self.

I shopped there for years and never had a bad experience there. They always had what I was looking for. The rate of employee turnover at the Corvallis location was always very low; the same people worked there for like all the years I ever shopped there. Amazing. On a more personal note, my dad was in construction for 35 years and worked on this store for about a month around 1985 when it was undergoing remodel. We lived in Portland at the time, so he was driving down there every day and back. I shopped at Fred Meyer — and my family did — for all the years I lived in Oregon. Always an amazing store. I still vividly remember when the Christmas decorations(and sales) did not go up until after the Thanksgiving ones were taken down, and there were no Halloween decorations on display until early in October(nowadays it’s like September 15th!)

I have shopped at Freddy’s for over 10 years and cannot remember ever having a problem. They have great produce and meats, an awesome natural food section, daily sales, nice staff, and efficient checkout. The plants they sell are usually healthy too. Go here.

Overpriced hobo can turn in location. That sums it up.

Let’s be honest, the only redeeming quality of Fred Meyers is the Starbucks on the second level. It’s a good place to come if you’re doing last minute Christmas shopping, or are in need of some fairly inexpensive electronics but for the most part I’d pass on the experience.

I love me some Freddies. I remember first moving here and thinking Freddies looked sketch from the outside because we didn’t have them in CA or AZ. But once I went in, you changed my mind. There aren’t many options for cheap prices on produce in town. Trader Joes is alright, but you don’t get to choose how much you want. Safeway has disgusting produce, as does WinCo, and the co-op is ridiculously expensive! They always seem to have some deals of produce, so that’s when I do my shopping. Plus they have the bulk bins which are the real money saver. I go here for all my basics, and then the co-op for all my specialty and vegan crazy items.

Fred Meyer is my favorite store. But the Corvallis Store sucks because it is so small! The company is missing opportunities in Corvallis by not building a larger store in another section of town.

I gave it a one star for the Fred Meyer Pharmacy! And the Pharmacy ONLY– Reason: — They are slow at acknowledging that you are there. Even though you are the first person in line, you have to at least wait 5 – 7 minutes before some says ‘I’ll be right with you’.(5 – 7 minutes might not seem very long, but when you’re standing there by yourself looking like a fool, yes it is very long.) What the heck is going on? Why the long wait? Because you’re a pharmacist now, you stop providing good customer service? Yes, I know you provide generic medication at a lower price to attract customers, but having them wait there looking like a dummy doesn’t exactly help. I know they know I am there because we’ve made eye contact! Don’t you think it’s because they’re busy and short staffed, because they are not! It only takes one second, just one second to say ‘We’ll be right with you’. That’s all it takes. I just want my presence to be acknowledged, so I know I am being helped soon. Until the customer service is improved, I don’t think I will be refilling my meds here for a while.

Oh Freddies, I understand you are one stop shopping center but why are your prices still too high? Hooray for coupons but they only do so much! Oh, and hooray for sales on cheez-its, wheat thins, Henry Weinhards seasonal 6pack brews, and chips. I like buying produce, eggs, and milk from you yet I don’t feel as satisfied after swiping my debit and rewards card. Yet I didn’t accumulate enough points during the time period to get rewarded from spending a good amount of money on you. Why have a time period? I do give you credit for having variety. Thank you. Spending hours here can be easily accomplished and your digital photo center is quite efficient. Bargains on old dvd’s are definitely good finds but the ones I actually want aren’t there or aren’t on sale. Boo. Oh well. I still keep coming here seeing that your produce is a lot better than WinCo.
