This place is a three except when it’s a five. The first time I ate here I had the best steak I have ever had. It was truly amazing but after that I have not really been that impressed with the food here considering the cost. I am also disappointed that the menu does not change much from week to week. This restaurant is small and quiet so you generally need a reservation.

Always a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a slow/paced intimate dinner. After a dozen visits I’m yet to try anything I don’t like.

I feel lucky to have a restaurant like this in Corvallis. The service was great, the food was delicious and the ambience was serene. To top it off, there is a nice selection of wines.

As all of the reviews promised, the service was excellent at Luc, food outstanding. Not a huge menu, but we had to share 2 things because there were several that were too hard to pick between. Really fresh everything, meat done to perfection. Great wine selection. Our server told us that they will be expanding Happy Hour(I didn’t even know they had a HH!) to ‘late night,’ which would be approx 9 – 11 p.m. I could see this being a favorite spot for more than special occasions, if they did have a late night menu. Will be back to try the Happy Hour.

Best restaurant in Corvallis! Highly recommend! Excellent and attentive service. Took our college students here for dinner and had brushetta appetizers that were off the hook, followed, kale salad, flank steak and cremated brûlée! Two words… «must try»!!

We had higher expectations. The menu looks promising but the fettuccine was not inspiring and tasted bland. Some of the decorations are dirty. Nobody asked how the food was or said goodbye when we left. Overpriced. Will not go back there.

Love this place. The wine, the food, the atmosphere, the service, the location. It is a wonderful spot for special evenings. They found out it was our anniversary and gave us a dessert on the house! We look forward to our next special evening at LUC.

Though I’m not a native and my breadth of experience in Corvallis is limited, I can’t imagine that there is a better fine-dining experience in town than at Luc. The restaurant was beautiful, the wait staff was attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious(as well as the beer and wine, most if not all local!). The risotto was divine. The single drawback of my experience was that the food took quite a while to come out, but the waitress and chef were kind enough to offer us another appetizer on the house while we waited. A definite recommend!

This restaurant is a MUST if you are in Corvallis! We ate there tonight and it was spectacular. Each course was like a party in our mouths. Can;t wait to return and try more items on the menu. The poached pair, procuitto and oregonzola bruchetta is not to be missed. What a wonderful find. Felt like we were eating in a Paris Bistro. Kudos to the brilliant chef. Service was excellent.

This place is amazing! Great service, pretty décor and delicious food make for a great experience. My husband and I are in Corvallis to visit my grandmother and since this was out last night here we decided to treat ourselves to a great dinner. Luc did not disappoint. We walked in without a reservation and they were able to squeeze us in. The décor is beautiful but not over the top — seems part vintage and part French. Lots of vintage details — silverware and appetizer plates, dusty GREY/blue walls, French doors, wall of vintage mirrors, crystal wall sconces with metal deer head accents, pretty settee in foyer, etc.) We had the cheese plate appetizer which was amazing and just enough to to whet our appetite for the entrees. I got the farro risotto with butternut squash and hubby got the Kobe beef steak. Both were amazing and full of super fresh yummy ingredients. We cleaned our plates… didn’t leave a bite uneaten! After that we finished with their crime brûlée which is a must have. All in all, this place was great and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We’ll be back(except next time we’ll make a reservation)!

After being seated in the overly dark, austere room, we waited a long time before anyone asked us if we wanted a drink. Once we ordered, the champagne cocktail came promptly. We ordered a venison appetizer; a few minutes later the server informed us they had sold out of that dish(at 7 pm?) We had barely begun our apéritif when our soup arrived. And we had barely touched the soup when the main course arrived. Our short ribs/mashed potato/vegetables were served in a bowl not a plate, which we did not appreciate. When we departed after the meal, no one in the restaurant said goodbye or thank you or anything, which seemed rather rude. Pro: Good food Cons: Room so dark you need a flashlight to read the menu. A silent French film is projected on one wall, terribly distracting and silly. Pacing of the courses terrible. Meat dish served in a bowl– we think bowls are for soup, noodles, cereal, not meat courses.

Wow. Never knew you could eat like this in CorVegas. Hubs and I stumbled in for a pre-game dinner. He tried to con me into a sports bar, but Unilocal saved the day with Luc’s many stars… The ambiance was very Pacific Northwest meets Parisienne deconstruction shabby chic. We enjoyed sitting by the gas fireplace while«The RedbShoes» was projected on the wall above. Then came the Manhattans… Served up in beautiful cut glass, with amaretto soaked cherries… good to the last drop… all 3 of them! I was bummed that the smoked bone marrow appetizer was on the menu, but off the menu… But the oysters were on point, the salad was organic and fresh, and the must have a mandoline in the kitchen, because the paper thin radishes were everywhere. Sweet potato croquettes were perfectly cooked and served piping hot. Don’t know if it was the country air, but somehow the butter even tasted better than most. Osso bucco was fine, if not a little gristly and the salmon was delicious, though slightly over cooked. The best part was our charming waitress who was humming or singing every time she brushed past… I will return to Luc, and look forward to it.

Absolutely amazing food! We were visiting from Washington and this was our first time here. Let me tell you, was not disappointed! I love that the menu changes regularly. I enjoyed the homemade fettuccine with chanterelle mushroom sauce. I have never had homemade pasta this good! And before this entrée, I actually hated mushrooms. The flavor of mushrooms I can handle, but the texture has always turned me off, so I would always ask for no mushrooms. I really wanted pasta this evening and so I thought I would just give it a go and pick the mushrooms out. I didn’t even have to. The mushrooms weren’t mushy or slimy. They were perfect! My husband had the seared sea bass over lentils and said it was amazing. We had a great dining experience and really look forward to our next trip down. This is definitely a must try!

Met the chef and he is a great guy. I loved his knack for making great food while also dreaming up new dishes that may or may not work. He’s not afraid to try new things and always has enough duck stock to make a tasty back up dish. Excellent food and well worth it.

Rare is the dining experience which so perfectly consumes the evening. Our waitress, Francessa, provided the service for which this five star review is earned. The food selection and preparation was also top-tier. I was floored. If you are in town and can spare the time, it is worth the investment.

I could not leave this place without a review. Wow! Great farm to table food. Well made and perfectly seasoned. This is a small quite restaurant that has the feel of an inner city bistro. Service is quick, polite and knowledgeable. They have a menu of great signature drinks, local beers and very good wines. Homemade crusty bread with fresh whipped butter finished with seasalt. Fantastic balance. Sets the stage to let you know you are in for a thoughtful meal. We had two entrées that my husband and I shared. We couldn’t decide between the ocean fresh salmon that was perfectly cooked or the farm fresh lamb that melted in our mouths. The very best thing we ate if the above wasn’t wonderful enough was the EarlGrey crembrulle. OMG! You must order this. We plan on visiting regularly.

My boyfriend and I love coming to Luc for every special occasion because every time we go its a different experience! The menu changes every week but the food is always excellent and the soups and drinks are my favorite. The only con that I can think of the lack of seasoning on some dishes and the portions are kind of small.

I was disappointed, but I had very high expectations. Service was wonderful. Wine list is great. Food was not enough, overall, for a higher rating.(And I am not talking about quantity.) I appreciate a lot about the place, but it isn’t going into my restaurant roundhouse this time.
