After two haircuts here, I have to say, this is the spot. Luminous Salon isn’t just for the ladies. Outside of dropping $ 70 – 100 at The Art of Shaving, these are two of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Check it out fellas, especially if you’d like your hair cut with actual scissors as opposed to electric clippers. Top notch, and the gals that work here are fantastic and upbeat. They don’t make phony chit chat.

Had to switch stylists today and made an appt with Jill. I like to keep my hair trimmed every 3– 4 weeks. This time I had gone 9 weeks and was getting pretty shaggy. Jill was booked out several days which confirmed my decision to be patient and give her a try. Made an appt online (first time doing that) and was very easy. Jill was a great conversationalist, friendly and made me feel at ease. Jill went right to work after askIng me several questions and I got a great cut. As a guy I am pretty picky with who does my hair as my mom is a beautician with 40+ years experience but lives in another state now. I watched my mom give hundreds of haircuts growing up. Jill is very fast, her technique is excellent, and she knows what she is doing. I had not met Jill before this appt. I’d recommend her and will definitely be going back.

I think Jill is now the hairstylist of at least half of my female friends in town; she knows how to do a great cut that is edgy and manageable. And sometimes she’s so fast and awesome at it, I wonder if she is related to Edward Scissorhands.

Kayla was an awesome stylist to work with. I came in with a damn rat’s nest on my head and she transformed it into something stylish, unique, and super cute! My new go-​to stylist, to be sure. She’s insanely talented and has such a fun approach to hair that it’s just enjoyable to watch her cut and style it. Both Jill and Kayla are so kind and friendly that it’s just a fun salon to be at. I was in a fantastic mood the whole time and long after I left! Highly recommend!

Kayla was my last hope for a good stylist in Corvallis. For being a student and away from home I needed another hair stylist in town. It’s been 3 years of damage hair and horrible experiences. I had given up until I walked in yesterday at Luminous Salon! I explained to her my horrible experiences with other salons and was looking for an honest stylist. Kayla was great and took care of my hair making sure she wouldn’t be another bad stylist I come across with.
Turned my dark brown hair to a beautiful golden blonde without damaging it like others have before. Trimmed it so it was perfect without charging me anymore. Definitely a stylist who does her job because she loves it and wants to make every client have the best experience.
Go to Kayla at Luminous Salon! You won’t be disappointed! :)

I’ve been going to Jill for about a year and a half now! I have a pixie cut and when I moved to Corvallis, I was nervous to find a new hairstylist. Jill always does a great job and knows my hair well! I am able to trust her with my hair completely and she always keeps my short hair in tip top shape!

Jill is not only a talented hair stylist but she’s one of the best people you’ll ever meet. She’s constantly working on her craft and legitimately loves what she does everyday. She lives life to the fullest and that attitude shines through with her great work.
In all honesty, I don’t even have any hair. Jill just buzzes me clean cause I’m a dude and it’s easy. That being said, I see her clientele, which is very loyal and always looking good. You never see anyone leaving her salon looking all ratchet (I think that’s what the kids are saying these days). I highly recommend Jill not just for her talent but for the way she treats her clients. She’s a top notch stylist and person.

I’ve been going to Jill for years and she has been nothing but top notch the whole time. She helped me grow out a shaved (nearly bald) head with grace and style and we’ve gone long, short, and back again since then. Jill is a true professional from the investment she makes in keeping her skills fresh to the spotless bathrooms in her classy salon. Jill seems to do well on all hair types and styles. She knows her product AND can totally roll with those of us who want to roll out of bed in the morning and go. Best of all she’s genuinely friendly and easy to hang out with.

Went in this morning to get a cut and color after an at-​home highlight job went WAY wrong. Kayla had great ideas for fixing it and was extremely mindful of my not wanting to have a lot of color upkeep. My hair ended up looking great and feels so soft and healthy, and Kayla and Jill were both very kind and welcoming! By far the best salon I’ve been to in Corvallis and I will definitely be going back!

I used to see Jill when she was at Suite 101 and now she has opened her own salon! She is probably the best hair dresser I have ever gone too. The price is $ 35 for a women’s haircut, but totally worth it. She is very good at explaining what she is doing and knows how to make your hair look good without having to explain everything you want done. Love her!
