Vertebrata Chiropractic

I have no idea what the previous Unilocaler was talking about when she/​he referred to this clinic. They not only take my insurance (costs me just my co-​pay to have an adjustment) but specifically asked me about it when I went in. If they didn’t take her insurance, that’s her fault for not looking it up on her insurance companies website. I also don’t know about her «charming review» nonsense seeing as she’s/he’s talking about. They never asked me to review them (I review most places I enjoy or the ones I want to warn folks about). Moving on.
I’ve had two appointments here, and so far, Dr. O’Donnell has been polite, funny, and effective. I have had a pretty bad back for about ten years and due to constant moves, my general reluctance to see any doctor who hasn’t known me since I was 2 and my lack of insurance, I haven’t been able to dig to the bottom of my chronic back pain and occasional sciatica. I went in for a consultation and adjustment (which took quite a while, don’t expect to be in and out quickly, fyi). The adjustment was very good, pretty much what I’d experienced with my other chiropractor. The tests he ran were very enlightening and the fact that he has an in-​house massage therapist was a plus. I left feeling wobbly (typical after getting adjusted) and the next day I was sore (also typical, nothing to call home about though) and the day after I was thinking to myself «why did I do this again?» All very typical of getting your back adjusted, it’s not like the doc goes «snap, crackle, pop» to your vertebra and you feel like running a marathon. It hurts, you’re stiff, you feel funny, but the horrible, biting pain stops and you can move, even if it is slower for a few days.
Over all, I feel much better after seeing Dr. O’Donnell, it just takes a few days, some hot showers, and a few creaky muscles. I also love that their facility is set up to do multiple types of treatment instead of the old adjustment and out the door of my old chiro.

I have issues with my back that tend to flare up from time to time. I made an appointment with Dr. O’Donnell since I’ll be moving to the Corvallis area. Out of the six chiropractors I’ve seen my entire life, Dr. O’Donnell has been the best.
Prior to going to the chiropractor I’ll get a massage to loosen up my muscles. Luckily Vertebrata has a massage therapist so I was able to get on there prior to my appointment. The massage therapist was very friendly, professional and provided a relaxed atmosphere.
Dr. O’Donnell gave me a professional and detailed consultation. He has some of the latest equipment that was able to pinpoint problem areas along my spine. Most chiropractors I have seen will just do an adjustment and send me on my way… Dr. O’Donnell is actually giving me idea as how to get to the root of my back problem and how to work on improving the condition. For that I plan on seeing him more regularly.
Overall I would recommend visiting Vertebrata if you are considering a massage therapist or chiropractor in the Corvallis area.

My sports: Running, Mt biking, volleyball, soccer and spelunking. Every once in a while I get injured. When that happens, I seek all kinds of support to get me back to being active ASAP! I get results every time I visit Dr. O’Donnell — no matter how complicated the problem. And I don’t have to come back over and over again — sometimes it’s 1 visit, sometimes it’s 3 or 4 — never a long term deal.
The guys is an extremely competent health care provider. His commitment to patient care is evident, and he is thorough and effective in his evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and explanation. His office is tranquil, clean, comfortable, and attractive, and he has excellent front desk staff, as well. Short of palm trees in the lobby, it’s a mini oasis downtown. The office is centrally located with plenty of parking.

I was recommended to Dr. O’Donnell by a friend, and now I would recommend him to any of my friends. My experiences here have been professional, friendly, most importantly healing. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and Dr. O’Donnell and staff made my experiences comfortable and helpful! I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to be a patient anymore, as I’m moving away. But it might be worth the drive for an adjustment and a massage!

Once you enter the very tidy office, you’re greeted with a smile and acknowledged in a neighborly kind of way, rather than the stoic «sign this and sit» manner. Scheduling is a breeze, and no matter how nutty my school schedule gets, they can always fit me in somewhere.
Jennifer, the massage therapist at Vertebrata, knows what she’s doing. Anything from a sleep-​inducing relaxation massage, to a muscle-​melting therapeutic beatdown, she’s got it absolutely programmed into her hands.
The benefits of chiropractic care are often underestimated, and Dr. O’Donnell proves this with every adjustment. As an athlete, I measure my well being based on how I feel during work-​outs or competition. Dr. O’Donnell understands this, as he is a world-​class athlete himself! Recovering from work-​outs takes less time, and my performance has sky-​rocketed!
I can’t recommend Vertebrata Chiropractic enough!

I have some next and back pain that we all get from toiling away at work, so I thought I’d go give Dr O’Donnell & Staff a visit. I was greeted and given a prompt appointment that fit into my hectic schedule. The clinic is modern and clean without being over the top ostentatious. The staff were friendly and helpful. After an adjustment and a great massage, Im back in the trenches without my constant companion – neck pain. Would repeat my visit and recommend to friends/​family.
