Just stopped there on a whim — headed back to MO from Louisville. Love that they do not add sugars AND they give discounts for less than a case! Bought three bottles & could have bought more. Highly recommend a stop!

I only have visited this winery when I ride the Tour de Pork, which it hosts annually. I was impressed with the organization of the ride, proceeds of which benefit the Ohio Greenway Project, and the offering of FREE wine tastings to participants after the ride. This us a small, family-owned winery that makes some very flavorful wines. In the 3 years that I have ridden in the Tour and tasted wines, I’ve never tasted a wine that was unsavory. Also, during summer months, the winery has live bands play normally on a weekly basis. It’s really a nice place to visit.

Omg this little gem is an amazing family orientated winery. The man who makes the wine is very knowledgeable and friendly, the wine tastes excellent, & the prices are reasonable! The daughter designs the labels and their son has Down syndrome. The family is very sweet and personable! This establishment is fun, easy going, and overall two thumbs up experience! Can’t wait to return to this little family run winery in Indiana!

These winemakers earn their 5-star review by making wine the old, french way. Do a tasting with Jim, the owner. His knowledge and passion for his wines shine through. I like that the tastings are complementary(while larger wineries like Hubers now charge) because you are better able to sample more wines and pick several you want to take home! I personally am a sweet red wine drinker, and they have several options. Red My Mind is my favorite! The great thing is that they do not add ANY sugar to any of their wines, making them sweet but much much lower on the glycemic index. Great for dieters and those with diabetes. The winery also hosts special events and concert weekends, which I have yet to attend but would love to very soon. It’s a laid back, rural setting that sets a beautiful stage to sip wine with friends and loved ones :)

We visited on the Upland Wine Trail chocolate & wine event weekend. Turtle Run offers a great variety of wines all of which have no added sugar which is a neat concept for a small local winery. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wine & despite the busy time/weekend we visited they were very attentive.

The wines were very good. The lady there was very nice and was knowledgeable of all their wines. She was able to help us find wines that we liked. One of the few wines we bought was slip my mind. Also I liked how none of the wines had any sugar added to them.

We have been able to visit this winery a couple of times and each time the lady who helped us with the wine tasting really seemed sincere in her efforts to find the perfect wines to suit our taste. I loved the personal caring touch there and their product is quality. I particularly love the Red my Mind concord with it’s clean bright flavor with just the right amount of sweetness to suit my palate. Of course, they have many other selections to suit your tastes as well. Worth a try and looking forward to when we are in the area and can visit again.

Turtle Run is one of those places that I’d never have gone to, had my fiancé not had relatives in the area. We were attempting our second wine trail and Turtle Run was on the list. We drove forever and finally came upon this charming place. They take the turtle theme to heart, even having a walking stone with a turtle in it. Their wine list is extensive and, each time I’ve been there, the employees have been very helpful. We even wandered into the back area, where the owner was more than happy to talk to us about wine and how he got into wine-making. I’ve purchased more bottles from Turtle Run than I care to admit and I always try to stop by when I’m in the area. From what I remember, they offer musical entertainment during the summer so be sure to check their website for events. The owners’ kids are usually running around; they each have at least one wine named after them. I was fond of Catherine’s Blend, a white wine, as it’s unusual for me to meet someone else who also spells Catherine with a C!
