French’s Pastry Bakery

I would use a broken bourbon bottle to defend my French’s cake, pie, bread pudding… heck the wrapper too. A friend brought it to work one day and… I might have embarrassed myself by taking 3 slices of whatever that was. So I took the trip over to The Mesa, and it was sweet. Nice people, too. Out-FREEKIN’-standing confections. This is what pastries are supposed to be. Best I’ve had outside of NYC.

If you’re looking for some quick sweets and you’re in the area then this place is perfect. Everything was pretty basic. I ordered the sugar cookies, strawberry pound cake, carrot cake, strawberry cake, and banana nut muffin. I wasn’t a fan of the sugar cookies. I assumed they’d be chewy but they were more on the hard side. The carrot cake was good but I was surprised with raisins which I don’t like. Carrot cake good. Raisins bad. The banana nut muffin was my favorite. It was soft and more on the moist side in the center and kind of crispy on the edges of the muffin. I would come back for that. Overall it was alright. Maybe next time I’ll try something else and hopefully it’ll win me over.

I pre-​ordered my son’s Birthday cake 2 days before his birthday party and it was perfect!!!
It was delicious and just what I asked for thank you!!!

I love this bakery. Their jalapeño cheese bread is the best. Their wagon wheels with cream and apricot are great to bring to staff meetings and other events. Also recommended is the bread pudding breads. Oh my! Delicious place! Mmmm mmm good!

Decided to give this a try as it is located just around the corner from where we are. Good selection of pastries but not the classic chocolate croissant that I was looking for. They did offer to drizzle chocolate on to a croissant.
Shared the danishes, apple turnover and bear claw with family, they are all just okay. Still have 3 pastries untouched out of 6 that we bought. I’d probably drive a little further next time to find good pastries instead of opting for convenience.

Childhood memories relived!
This bakery brings back so many memories of tea times & eating all the carbs I can without having to workout. Sigh. Anyway, the best part about this bakery are their wagon wheels! They are circular french pastries filled with fruity goodness or cheese! So good! During this visit, I got a cinnamon roll & a blueberry scone. Both were pretty tasty, but I thought the scone ws a bit dry. I almost got a dozen cookies because it was their weekly deal (dozen cookies for $ 3), but decided that it wouldn’t be fair if I ate all of that stuff… I’d have to run a little bit more. Anyway, the baked goods are a-​ok. Not as exciting as I thought they were when I was younger, but the ladies wo run this shop are super sweet and give good recommendations. Make sure to get there early to get the wagon wheel of your choice! When I got there, the cheese ones were all gone!

If I am in area, I would prefer coming into this place if they have freshly baked muffins. Why? Because their blue berry muffins here are awesome. Every single muffin that I had was superB, so much deliciousness in it. Worth the time coming and worth every last penny.

I love the redberrys tart. The expresso and breads are fresh. Sit outside with the birds. Excelent to go with family. Sunday is the day of French backery… … … … … … … … … … … … … As. … X. X. X. X. X. X. C. V.

Yummmmmm so much selection and temptation great bakery ! The brownies are to die for ! The cookies are huge ! It was so hard to just pick one thing will definitely be coming back here!!!

Whipped Cream Cakes.
My usual go to cakes are their whipped cream cakes.
So light, so fluffy… and so heavenly! Their cakes are always consistent in taste, not too sweet either.
They always have a great variety of ready made cakes should you need to pick up a last minute treat!

Love this place! Been going here over ten years. The wagon wheels are the best. So many goodies the cheesecake brownies, cookies, scones, cupcakes… Can’t choose wrong here!

My coworkers purchased my birthday cake from this bakery. I love red velvet cake and this one was amazing. They decorated the cake beautifully. The frosting and cake were delicious. I will definitely start coming here to purchase my cakes.

I had French’s make my son’s cake for his first birthday, as well as some sugar cookies. The theme was Elmo and i gave them a picture as reference. They did a great job and i was extremely pleased. Everyone loved the cake and it tasted great. My boyfriend has gotten every birthday cake of his made by French’s since he was 1!

Great display of pastries and desserts. The service is quick and pretty friendly. They have a large variety of cookies, cupcakes, breads, cakes, etc etc. It’s always pretty busy but the wait is not that long. I don’t think I’ve seen a place with more variety in the area. Great crowd pleasing treats.

From birthday cakes to cream puffs… time to eat

I had to get a last minute cake for my friend’s birthday, so I called and they said they had some cakes available.
When I walked inside, I was very excited because the cakes were very cute! I chose a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. I didn’t really like when the woman that took my order asked if the celebrant was a boy or girl to determine the color of the «Happy Birthday» icing instead of allowing me to choose from their available colors.
As for the cake, it was enjoyable. I think the cake would have been a bit dry without the cream, but it was good with the cream. The cake wasn’t too sweet, but the icing was a a bit sweet. Overall, it was good.
